You must display the parking pass in both vehicles during your stay. They are located in the rental house. *Please be prepared for winter driving conditions as we are above 7k feet in elevation, and we do get snow.
*This cabin is pet friendly. * Max one pet allowed.* This little red cabin was originally built in the 1920's and is still owned by the same family. Aside from the kitchen appliances, new TV's, new bedding, and furniture, not much has changed from the 20's when the house was built. You will experience a truly rare vacation staying in this little 3 bedroom cabin. There is an amazing view of the lake and Cave Rock, you are lake front with a bit of beach area depending on the water level, and still close to town.
Being that this cabin was built in the 20's the floors are not even, the stairs to the loft bedroom with a queen are steeper that any normal stairs, and there is actually a tree that the house was built around! This is something that you will rarely get to experience in Tahoe!
You enter into the cabin through the kitchen. In the kitchen you will find a dishwasher, 4 burner glass cook top, microwave, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, & toaster. There are pots & pans, silverware, cups, plates etc. We do not supply any food items at all like spices, oils, sugars, coffee etc. The old fashion cast iron stove you see in the kitchen is not in working condition and is only there as decoration. The floors in the kitchen are uneven as the house was built in the 20's, the wheels on the block island must stay locked so it does not roll away, all part of the fun of this little cabin!
Through the kitchen you enter into the living room. There is a wood burning fireplace (wood is not provided) a new TV, dining table & access to the deck area and beach/ lake area. The one full bathroom is off of the living room. There is a stand up shower, toilet and sink in this bathroom. There are 2 bedrooms off of the living room; BR 1 with a queen & BR 2 with a twin bunkbed.
Above the kitchen is the loft bedroom # 3 with queen. There is a door to this room making it private and we call it a loft as the ceilings are angled like a loft. There is a toilet room (toilet and sink only) and this is where the house was built around a tree! Open the window in the toilet room and you get to see the tree, what an experience!
There is a BBQ off of the kitchen area in the back of the house in the gravel area. We cannot put the BBQ on the wood lake view deck for fire safety reasons.
There is no dock, we do not supply water toys of any kind or boats of any kind.
*This cabin is pet friendly. * Max one pet allowed.*

"A Satisfied Repeat Visitor
We love this property and its location. Peaceful, restful, quiet, and private. The master bed is comfortable. Can't beat the view and access to the lake. Always depart feeling rested. Very clean. Responsive staff."

"Fabulous Relaxing Getaway
Loved the Red Cabin for our Tahoe getaway. The view of the lake and the sunsets were spectacular. They undersold the little beach at the bottom of the stairs - it was a great place to sit and splash in the water, especially with our dog. While the furniture, inside and out, could use a bit of an update, everything was comfortable and relaxed. I would (and may) return again."

"Red cabin
We stayed at the cabin for the last seven years. We really enjoy it. We love the location and we love being on the lake."

"Overall - GREAT
The view from the deck is simply spectacular. The cabin interior - the master bed (mattress and sheets) is great. Kitchen well stocked although the electric cooktop had I believe a bad burner. Living room furniture - (A) not comfortable and doesn't match the photo and (B) the old chair had dog hair on it. Asked property about access code the night before check-in but never heard back. Luckily I found an email from a few weeks earlier with the info. Overall - VERY GOOD experience."

"Perfect location, amazing views. Some improvement needed
We had a great time. The location and views are amazing. We understand that the cabin is from last century but to give 5 stars, they need some improvement. Some curtains in the bedrooms. We tried to use the fireplace but there was a very bad smell so webstopped using it. The hunk bed cannot be used by adults, neither teenagers. They move a lot and my daughter's had to sleep on the couch. It was very hot in this bedroom, even with the doors opened. Otherwise, kitchen very well equipped with lots of pots and pans, bowls... Everything we needed. It was a great 5 days vacation. "

"Amazing lakefront cabin
This beautiful ‘Old Tahoe’ lakefront cabin with a private beach is truly one-of-a-kind. It is definitely a splurge, but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny. This is now the third summer we have spent a week at this historic cabin. My children, my dog, and I enjoy it and appreciate it more every year. The sunset (and moonrise) views from the deck, being able to enjoy a sandy, shady private beach, and the convenient location all contribute to the amazing experience. I was so happy that the cabin did not sustain any damage (except for some downed branches) from the heavy snows last winter. This cabin is very special and I hope we can return every summer. "

"A journey into tahoe history
This property was all we could ask for. The location was unmatched in terms of beauty and lake assess. It had all the amenities u would need. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds comfortable. It gave a welcoming feel that made u instantly comfortable. Nothing fancy but had character and history. I felt like I had stepped into the past and got a glimpse of times gone by."

Comfy and cozy. I loved I could bring my chihuahua. "

"Beautiful peaceful views of the lake! Love this place!
This little cottage is perfect for a relaxing get-a-way. Being there is inspiring and so peaceful. The house is old 1920’s, so it’s not about modern perfection. It’s about relaxing views of the lake that will inspire you to read or write a song, or write a book. The beds are very comfortable and super clean. The kitchen has everything you need to make a meal. But, If you have a favorite coffeemaker or pan bring it with you. If you want a great Breakfast go to Bert’s. The place has good Wi-Fi if you need to stay connected. It’s not a big place but it’s super cosy. I recommend this place and will return again don!!"

"Wonderful location on the lake
We had a great time here and felt like we went back in time to early Tahoe days. The deck was perfect for everyone and we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. Oh my the trees! So stunning!"

"The Great 1920’s Cabin
Excellent cabin right on Lake Tahoe. Very well outfitted with everything we needed. Beautiful View of the Lake & right on Hwy 50. Perhaps a little too close to the traffic. Difficult to get out of the area. Had to time the entry on the Hwy 50 very well not to get run over by all the traffic ! "
Jun 19, 2021 - Kent M., Costa Mesa, CA
"Quaint !
The house is as pictured and described. Very clean. Kitchen well stocked with pots, pans, table wear, etc. Drop dead gorgeous views off expansive deck. Great sunset views. You can even hear the waves lapping up to the shore. Some road noise, but didn’t interrupt sleep. Pretty much next to Cave Rock. Remember that this is an historic cabin, rough on the outside. If you’re renting in the summer, if find out if the grounds and beach were cleaned up. "

"Long Weekend at Tahoe
This is our 6th time at the cabin and hopefully we will have many more stays. Moved in with temps in the 70's and left 4 days later with 5" of snow. Love this place!"

"Love the Deck and Sugar Pines right on the Lake
The location is amazing and the house is unique. It is said to be 100 years old and there is a beautiful sugar pine growing right up through the house and several run right through the deck. Beautiful lake views and this is really right above the beach. Lady of the Lake, Cave Rock, sacred to the Washoe tribe, can be seen from the deck. We really enjoyed staying there. There is a bit of a moldy smell in some areas....which might be expected in an old home. I was a little nervous about whether Covid safety was a priority because it was getting cleaned right before we arrived and they didnʻt know if a mask was being worn, but they did call the cleaner and confirmed a mask would be used. The Laundry area side of the house is dark so use the flashlight to do laundry at night. It would be good to have a light there. The location is peaceful and beautiful."

"Wonderful Lakeside Home with Character
We loved staying in this family owned home for the weekend. The location is amazing and we didn’t even leave the house because our kids loved playing on the little beach so much. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook meals. It’s quaint, comfortable, and cozy. Highly recommend for people who appreciate older homes. "

"Mouse Trap Cabin, massive mice problem!!!!
Disgusting. Mouse dropping EVERYWHERE. Including kitchen utensil drawer. The house is crawling with mice every night. Into my suitcase...on dishes was mice poop galore. Told management, they KNEW!!!! Seems like a health violation. No only was there plague in animals on west shore transmitted via fleas (hello furry mouse) during our stat, mice poop and urine can cause hantavirus.....not relaxing to find more poop everywhere everytime you wake up.
Oh plus, one night on the way to the bathroom a mouse RAN OVER MY FOIT IN THE DARK....GROSS!
I've been renting this place for years without a problem. I must be under new management with a "so what" attitude. At least Heidi was surprised that we were bothered...hello millenial. Hey millennial "get a pest service, you are ruining the cabin with your lazy attitude.""

"Tahoe Family Vacation
My family and I had a blast! Took my son & daughter their significant others and my girlfriend. Plenty of room for us all. Amazing views! Wonderful patio. Very clean. Great kitchen. Small private beach area. Overall a very nice cabin in my personal opinion. Priced fairly. We had a great experience. Also only 10 minutes from the local Smiths just due South FYI. "

"What a gem!
This original lake front red cabin was an absolute gem! The cabin was over 100 years old, so it has that neat rustic vibe to it, but with modern twists here and there to enjoy. For example, the TV in the living room to watch while you kick off your shoes and relax near the fireplace after a long day of playing in the snow. The cabin was clean and has all the amenities we needed for our stay. The views are breathtaking, and the sunsets were amazing! This little red cabin was perfect for our family of 8 and two small dogs. We would love to visit it in the summer."

"Perfect Getaway Cabin
Beautiful cabin right at water's edge. Had everything you would need. 15 mins to Heavenly gondola & 25 min to Incline Village."

"Our 3rd Summer staying here
The day we arrived the cabin had strong creosote smell from the wood stove. It took the 1st week to air it out. Down the street there is a neighbor who does car detailing every night there is a strong lacquer smell outside. Startled by unannounced pest exterminator visit. We've vacationed in Lincoln Park now 9 times. Booking now much more expensive. We love this old cabin but now if we book it and for some reason cancel we would be out $450. It used to be if you cancelled within 30 days you received a full refund. Not anymore. Price has skyrocketed! Unsure if we will make a return visit."

"Awesome visit and location!
Beautiful location, amazing views, peaceful and relaxing! The cabin was very cool and pet friendly. We felt very comfortable right away. We will be back, hopefully again this year. The property manager was very helpful, courteous, and always immediately responded to my calls when I had a couple of questions prior to our visit. Thank you, we’ll be back!!"

"SMART, cozy, comfortable cabin with unbeatable views
My husband and our two furkids stayed here for 10 days surrounding the Fourth of July. What a delight it was to be perched on the edge of the lake, removed from the friction of the throngs of people packed like sardines on the beaches, able to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the lake. Divine! The kitchen was well appointed. Everything needed is supplied in this SMART, modest cabin. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were too. Honestly, I hate to leave a review because I don't like giving away a best kept secret! Truly a splendid place to enjoy Lake Tahoe! We will definitely return. If you want it ALL, look no further. Location, comfort, beauty, ease....this place has it all. Easy parking. Unbeatable views. Comfortable deck furniture as well as interior comforts. "

"Annual family trip to Tahoe
We have been traveling to Lake Tahoe for the past 30years with our family. This year, we had too many people for one cabin so I rented a separate cabin for just my family. I loved this rustic cabin! The deck had a beautiful view of the lake with easy access. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious. This is very similar to the family cabin we stayed in for the past 25 years until it was sold a few years back. The property was just as expected by the pictures shown. There are 3 bedrooms, but one of the bedrooms only has one twin size bed, so you really can't fit more than one in that room. The upstairs room is a loft with a queen bed with a steep staircase so you have to be careful walking up the stairs. It's an easy drive into town (about 10 minutes from Safeway and about 15 minutes from the casinos). The cabin was clean and organized with the table set beautifully. Stuart, the property manager was friendly and efficient and easy to get ahold of. When we checked in, there was a leak from the valve on the top bathroom and he promptly sent a handyman to fix it. This cabin is not luxurious by any means, but homey and comfortable. Our family kept our boat at the main cabin in Glenbrook where the rest of the group stayed and it was easy for them to pull the boat up in front of this cabin and pick us up. We enjoyed Zephyr Cove, boating and relaxing with our family. The first night we were there, all of us went to the Lakeside Casino for their prime rib and lobster special and it was delicious! I would highly recommend this cabin and especially Stuart, the property manager. We plan to return next summer!"

"Beautiful Lake Front Cabin
This was the most beautiful location! Right on the lake, big deck to enjoy the view even a small beach to play ball with my dog. The cabin was clean, cozy, had all the necessary equipment I have rented homes for years in the US and Europe for vacations and this is among the top 3 I have stayed in."
