Changes can occur after a reservation is made as a result of sale of unit, remodeling, mechanical failure or servicing. Should the Rental Property be made unavailable for any reason beyond the control of RE/MAX Kauai, RE/MAX Kauai will use its best efforts to provide Guest with a substitute vacation accommodation of equal value. If no other rental property is available, RE/MAX Kauai shall notify Guest and refund any payments made as soon as possible.

Guest understands that Owner retains the right to sell the Rental Property or change management companies at any time. In the event the Rental Property is sold or transferred to new management, Guest understands that RE/MAX Kauai is under no obligation to provide a substitute vacation accommodation of equal value. RE/MAX Kauai may however, at its option, act as an intermediary between Guest and Owner to look for a substitute vacation accommodation of equal value. If RE/MAX Kauai is unable to find such accommodations, this Agreement shall be cancelled and terminated and RE/MAX Kauai shall refund all payments made under this Agreement. Guest understands that RE/MAX Kauai shall not thereafter have any liabilities or obligations to Guest arising out of the unavailability of the Rental Property and/or the alteration of Guest’s travel arrangements.

Except as provided above, reservations are non-transferable.

RE/MAX Kauai may terminate this Agreement upon the breach of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement by Guest or any occupant of the Rental Property. In the event of such termination, Guest shall not be entitled to the return of any monies paid to Owner or RE/MAX Kauai. Upon such termination, Guest and all occupants in the Rental Property shall immediately vacate the Rental Property.

RE/MAX Kauai in its sole discretion reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service to any person(s) and/or to rescind any contract for accommodations or guest services.

The beach is very quiet and peaceful. The only downside is the lack of air conditioning. As long as you keep the doors open and the fans on it is comfortable though. We were supposed to have sleeping accommodations for 5; king bed, 2 twin beds and 1 aero mattress. A few weeks prior to arriving; we were instructed to provide all the names staying in the unit. We did so as requested. After a long day of travel; we arrived at the unit and found to only have a king and 2 ROCK hard twin mattresses. We tried to reach out to numbers provided to us. After some time someone responded. Only to find out they did NOT in fact have the accommodations they advertised they would have for us. Now it is after 7pm and was told that we could find something else and would be provided a refund. I called around to several places to try and get some VERY LAST MINUTE reservations for our family. Finally I found something but of course they were not able to accommodate that night since it was so late in the day but could take us for the rest of the stay on the island. We informed these hosts and made them aware of what was happening. We had to stay the one night and were out by about 7:30am. The only thing we used was the showers and a few of the towels. Of which we put in the washer to wash prior to leaving. No one even slept in any of the beds. I had someone sleep in the car and the others slept on the couch and living room chair with our own blankets. I have a text message directly from our host stating they would be issuing us a refund. I have tried to communicate with them prior to having to write this review. UNFORTUNATELY, THAT STILL HAS YET TO HAPPEN AND STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND!! First time in 222. It was the best of all. The unit is well equipped and comfortable Everything thing worked. There were even sharp knives which is not common in rentals. Spacious, we did not even have to put our empty suit cases back in the rental car. My wife has limitation as far as her legs are concerned. 222 has only 11 stairs. The Lanai off the master is a comfy place for morning coffee and night caps too. Unit was clean, furniture comfortable too. For us, this is the best part of the island. Walking distance to great and safe swimming. Lots of good restaurants close by and all the shopping that you need. Should also mention that parking is close to the building and easy. Prior to this our last trip was an all inclusive resort in Cancun and so when we checked in our initial reaction was disappointing. It was not a 5 star property with a resort feel. And more a condominium property. But as we moved along our 4 nights stay, we felt our decision to stay here was spot on and it truly had everything we needed and much more. - location was pretty good with 10 mins drive to airport and in middle of island ensuring our drives north and south were equidistant - logistically having 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect for our family of 5 - living room was pretty big and all furniture was upgraded - full fledged kitchen with utensils which helped for our 4y kid as we could cook for her - lots of good quality beach stuff available to use such as beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear - lots of board games to play within the house - washer dryer which helped us to ensure that we did not have to pack too many clothes for our 2 island trip - most beautiful sunrises right from living and master bedroom - a very accommodating guest services team of Angela (and Cyrila) who helped us with early checkin and a few minor requests we had during our stay there - property is at a 5-10 min walking distance from lydgate beach park which ensured we could go there almost every day at the tidepool - esp at morning times when it is not crowded. The only callout i would have is that it does not have an air conditioner. And so you have to make do with fans. There is a ceiling fan in each room and also a standing fan. Having said if you keep the windows open the ocean breeze was pretty good in December to keep the room cool." The unit has everything you will need for a great stay. We were pleasantly surprised by all the upgrades done to the unit. The property is very quiet and has a nice pool/BBQ area where we cooked almost every night. We checked into the unit took a quick inventory and then went to the store to stock up for the week. The unit comes with a free Concierge which we used to book our activities. Alexandria was amazing and took care of all the details for us. This location is perfect for traveling either north or south to explore the Island, its very centrally located and 12 minutes from the Airport. The sunrises are perfect every morning directly offshore from this unit as it faces straight west. We will be back and when we do we will book this unit again. We enjoyed many activities while there including hiking, outrigger paddling, a Luau, a Napali Coast cruise and even did some horse back riding. This home was clean and well appointed. The beach supplies included are a huge bonus, the kitchen is well stocked with all of the utensils, dishes, etc. and towels, sheets, blankets, etc. are all great. We did not use the pool, so I can't evaluate that, but the beach at this location is not usable. With that being said, it is extremely close to Lydgate, which is an awesome beach. This was our second trip to Kauai, and I love this location. You can easily access both the north and south shores, the price is more reasonable than in other locations, and despite being so close to the airport, it is a quiet location. We had no concerns with the rental company at all, so I can't speak to their responsiveness, however staying for five nights and having ZERO concerns, is indicative of a great stay. Although this property does not have air conditioning, the fans provided are greatly appreciated. It was very humid at night, but we knew that going in for an August trip, and the fans saved the sleeping! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals although a bit small for more than one person to work at a time. There is a well maintained walking path along the shore. The location is perfect in the kappa area , central on the island, allows for ease in any directions , for your island adventures. The walking path and bike bath , made daytime or evening rides to the Market place for dinner in the cafes so enjoyable . The near by Lydgate park was a great beach area and playgrounds for our family , and the pool with pool side grills for barbeques , made evening gatherings perfect ! WE will return !! Tired in areas, fly screens not fitting right and all doors have to be locked with a wooden bar kindly provided by the property owner as the actual door locks are not operable. We travelled in October and thought the ocean front location would compensate for the lack of AC, sadly not, the accommodation was 30 plus even during nighttime with 3 fans running. but is advertised as no Ac.bed was comfy, sofa comfy and the chickens a pleasure at 3am but this is a major Hawaii problem! Stayed multiple times in same unit for past 20 years. Very nice and comfortable. A few things to make this unit shine. Have either a hideabed or even better a Murphy bed, or even a queen size blow up bed. Nothing better than sleeping in the living room listening to the waves all night long. Only complaint is the turning on of the TV had trouble getting it to start up, this went on for the whole two weeks we were there. This place delivered just that and more! It was the perfect spot for an affordable getaway. Just 10 minutes from the airport and a Safeway tucked away in a beautiful community. We’d been to the island before and wanted something a bit more centrally located so we could easily drive up to Princeville or down to Poipu. We had our two small children with us and the twin beds were perfect for them and the master bed was SO comfortable, something I always worry about. The community pool is small and the shallowest part is 4 ft so keep that in mind if you’re bringing small kids. The waves are also intense on the east shore so swimming isn’t an option at the beach but we knew that going in...we just wanted the view! We spent most of our days on excursions and at the beach in Poipu. Also, I’m sure there’s laundry on site (we never needed it) but there isn’t any in the condo. Lastly, if you didn’t know...roosters and chickens run wild on the island (google why...it’s interesting!) and this property is no exception. If you’re sensitive to a 5am wake up call from a rooster bring a sound machine. There are wonderful fans provided in each bedroom that add some noise but my husband whose extremely grumpy in the morning needed something a but louder. The views are spectacular - we even saw whales from the lanai. Could use updating, but everything worked for our family of 5 adults.
