CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to your arrival date a voucher for a future stay will be issued in the amount of the deposit less the reservation fee for use for a future stay within 365 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). Only the Guest named on the Agreement may cancel a reservation and cancellations must be made by phone call to Rental Agents Office.

Upon cancellation the full mount received less the travel insurance, non-refundable reservation fee and applicable taxes will be refunded. " Aug 15, 2026 - , Kathleen, GA "Alta Maya The location of the cabin was beautiful with easy parking. Early check in was available to us after we got a text that the cabin was ready around noon. The cabin was well stocked with cooking utensils and was decorated very tastefully. We honestly liked how the cabin was set up and decorated. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin (with the cabin being ready 3 hours early especially). The upstairs bathroom smelled of urine, the shower wasn't cleaned well at all, one lightbulb was out above the sinks. There was a big ball of long black hair covering the shower drain, so it was obvious they aren't cleaning the way they should. The pool didn't smell like chlorine and we questioned how well that was maintained based on other things we saw. You can tell it doesn't get dusted or vacuumed often at all either. We also found it odd that they only stock you with one garbage bag. We did have an issue where we needed to speak to someone and I will say that they were extremely kind and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would do it again, I'll just be bringing more cleaning supplies of my own. " Jul 19, 2026 - , Bradley, IL "Beautiful! BUT... in need of a better cleaning crew I really enjoyed my stay here. The cabin is beautiful. Checking in and out is very easy! However, I do have a few concerns concerning cleanliness. Upon arrival anywhere, I begin disinfecting and checking the beds, etc. Immediately, I noticed the sheets were not clean.The mattress and matress cover seemed new. Nevertheless, the amount of hair and dust found was unacceptable. I called and requested new sheets. They came with new ones in less than an hr. The second set had water stains on them. I did not call again, as it was already after 5, therefore, I decided to rewash both sets. I did not use the comforter since it could not fit in the washer and I noticed small stains, like juice, on them. I was so glad there was a washer and dryer here! However, I had to clean this too. Product from previous use was gunked up everywhere and the dryer vent needs to be cleaned. It really seems like the cleaning crew is doing the bare minimum, which is sad considering how beautiful this cabin is! With wood, you have to dust and vacuum. Dust and hair was hanging from some of the light fixtures that was reachable. The pool and sauna was awesome! We spent a lot of time down there. The couches just needed a quick wipe down, but luckily my fiance works with furniture for 15+ years so he knew what to do. Lastly, the king bed, please get rid of that frame. At 6'1, my fiance kept hitting his head and feet. Not tall people friendly at all and the mattress needs to be on a box spring or some type of additional foundation or maybe get a thicker memory foam mattress. It was a 3 out of 10. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend bringing a few of your own cleaning supplies in order to maximize your comfort level due to minimum effort put towards cleanliness. This would include additional wash cloths, towels, toilet tissue, and paper towels. Lastly, it is about 15 to 20 minutes drive from downtown unless you prefer to speed on those curvy roads... just saying. " May 14, 2026 - Leah M., West Columbia, SC "4.5 stars! Overall, I would give this cabin a 4.5 stars out of 5. It is a beautiful property, in a convenient location, feels private and has everything you need. My 10yr old son enjoyed the games and pool and bunk beds very much! The quality of mattresses could be improved. The cleaning service is a bit lacking attention to detail. We stayed the first full week in April and the gorgeous gas fireplaces were already turned off for the season. No pilot light. We were very disappointed that we couldnt use the 3 fireplaces. All said and done, I would return and I would recommend. Quiet area overall. One reason I gave it a 4 is that the master bed was extremely uncomfortable, no support what so ever and the bed linens felt like paper, pillows were flat and not comfortable, bedspread did not smell clean. Also, if you are traveling with young children or older adults keep in mind that the only other bedroom is down three flights of stairs and its also down by the pool entrance. Our grand daughter did not want to stay down there, LOL. We had some user issues with the pool alarm going in and out of the pool, it can be tricky to time it just right so the alarm does not go off. There are huge windows without blinds so if you like to sleep in just be aware of that. Kitchen had the basics, make sure to bring k-cups, paper towels, dish soap, shampoo and body wash as well as there was no bathroom essentials other then a few bars of soap. Wasp nest in living room ceiling. AC in master above sinks was leaking brown water all over the counters so we had to turn it off the AC is other areas worked well. Grill is in the front of the house by the entry and visible by all the neighbors so it's a bit awkward grilling your food while others are outside and around. Some of the windows were not cleaned very well. Would definitely visit Elk Springs again but now that we know the lay of the land would probably choose a different home just for better views etc." Mar 10, 2026 - , Spanish Fort, AL "Alta Maya Great cabin despite the sauna that kept tripping the reset button. There are some areas needing improvement. One of the plates had dried egg yolk on it and a glass had lip marks on it, prompting a full dish wash of everything. The car charge could be paid for you very minor expense that could be absorbed. Covering up the visible plumbing in the ceiling would be ideal for the overall ascetic. Dimmer switches please, it was all or nothing on some of the light fixtures. Bigger shower heads or multiple heads would be a nice addition. Blinds in the pool room for more privacy. Descriptions for the symbols on the AC/Heater remote needed. Faster fill spout for the soaking tub it takes 20m or so to fill. All in all the cabin and experience was good, these would be my suggestions. 10/10 would stay again. Customer service was outstanding." Feb 28, 2026 - , Cincinnati, OH "Amazing Modern Cabin & Easy Access Cabin was perfect! Couldn't have asked for a better cabin and location to both Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. Only issues was only 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, so make sure to stop and get more. Also only one roll of paper towels. There was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms or kitchen. Just a cleansing bar and dish soap that was the size of hand sanitizers. All the dishes had to be rinsed off because of the dust on them. Also one of the split units didnt work because batteries in the remote were dead. Bathroom downstairs was super dirty, from baseboard, back of door, alot of dust! We had several issues including black ants all over the kitchen, black mold all over the “rustic” kitchen island, the ac unit kept pouring water inside, pool had no chlorine, main shower has a full open window facing another cabin and the downstairs bathroom had urine soaked into the concrete all around the toilet. We have always stayed with Elk Springs Resorts and we will not be back. For the price we paid for this cabin, this was all unacceptable. We did email the issues (minus the mold which we realized after it was sent) and they responded quickly that they would relay the info to the appropriate personnel. They also sent someone to fix the AC unit which they did not fix because it started pouring water again after we ran it. When we saw the mold, we immediately emailed and never received a response." We used every aspect of the cabin and never felt like we had nothing to do! We did get out and explore, but were excited to return to our piece of paradise. We didn't have hot water in our downstairs bathroom the entire stay. Couldn't take a shower, and even the sink water stayed cold. The office sent maintainence 2-3 times, and still wasn't fixed. The fireplace upstairs didn't work, unless we took the entire screen off and lit it.The master loft bedroom has a cheap mattress in it and the canopy frame covers the tv so you can't see anything. To top it all off, all management could offer us is $86 for not being able to use all the rooms and amenities we paid in full for. The Alta Maya cabin description was very accurate and the property was very nice, with easy access in a secure setting. The only items that in my opinion that need attention is the hot water setting, the water did not get very hot at all and trying to watch television from the king room bed is almost impossible due to the bed frame blocking half of the tv screen.
