I was expecting a cozy cabin experience but got an undone fixer experience. Cleaning crew missed the mark with dirty bathroom and kitchen. Bathroom was not very clean easily determined with dirty chrome fixtures. There was what seemed like ketchup splatter on the side of the fridge in the kitchen. The cabins' state dirtiness made us question the cleanliness of the hot tub, we chose not to take a chance. The whole cabin is in need of maintenance. The bathroom window broken. The crank that is supposed to open and close the window. It does not work; the window is stuck open about an inch. All cabin windows look like they have not been cleaned in years. The kitchen table finish is old and sticky. It was gross resting my arm on it. When food fell off my plate onto the table, I would not eat it off the table. Bathtub/shower drain is slow. Could not keep up with shower, nothing like soapy water in the bottom of the tub to step out of. Front porch light doesn't work. Had trouble locating the cabin, I called for help she was very helpful and courteous to help me find the location. Had a hard time getting the Fire table to flow propane gas to light. Checked tank valve, there was a gauge showing pressure, tried adjusting but no gas flow. Called for help and they sent someone while we were out. They started it worked and remember to turn on the timer. I had no idea what that meant, so no help. It made me look for instructions which were on the door, I had missed when I first tried. Internet was horrible. Dropped often. Do not plan on working with this internet. With all the choices in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area, try something else Elk Springs misses the mark on basic cleaning and maintenance unless you tell them, then they do respond. Also garbage can had dirty lid so when he changed the bag he didn’t even clean lid. Inside is very nice and loved the game area. I had to rinse out jacuzzi as it had hairs in it. Cleaner was left on side of tub. Only one roll of toilet paper in bathroom. I don’t expect perfection in cleaning just since Covid things should be important as many people use the cabins. Overall we had a great time. Bed comfortable. Maybe look a blinds/curtains on jacuzzi window and French doors out to deck. Lots of early morning light and a little more privacy feel. Timer on fireplace does not work. It runs until you turn it to off position." You never know how that's going to turn out, lol. Anyway, it was storming like crazy both days. I ordered a mobile massage that came to the cabin. We had 2 hour massages while it was thundering and raining. It was the absolute best! The jacuzzi tub inside was so relaxing. We didn't use the hot tub outside or the firepit downstairs because it wasn't really cool enough in July. We did play table tennis and billiards downstairs and laughed more than we have in a long time. It's secluded enough you can run around naked and nobody can see you! It was an awesome romantic getaway and the highlight of our trip. It was clean, had everything we needed except coffee - there is not a Keurig so bring ground coffee but there is a dollar general not far from there. The management company over communicates if anything, you get a dozen emails and texts through the process making sure you are informed. We went to a local steak house, but I can't remember the name of it. It was okay. The cabin was the highlight for sure." Only two other cabins nearby. Open floor plan, bed/living room/kitchen all in one room. Pictures doesn’t really show that. King bed was comfy, jacuzzi and electric waterfall was a nice added feature. Hot tub on main deck could use some maintenance. The jets were very weak and a couple of them didn’t work. Gas fireplace in the main room didn’t work either. Not a big deal with the warm weather but would be nice on chilly nights if it worked. Water pressure in the shower was minimal. Small pool table and ping pong on lower level. Propane fire pit on the lower deck as well. Swing was covered in spiderwebs and looked like it hadn’t been used in years. Swing was also mounted too close to the rail and you can’t really swing without hitting the rail. Cabin is a little outdated and could use some maintenance but overall satisfactory. We both loved the place. It fit us perfectly. We like solitude, and it was far away from the bustle of Gatlinburg while still being close enough to go out for groceries and a dinner date. The only problems were relatively minor. We arrived the day they turned off the gas, so we couldn't use the fireplace. My girlfriend was a little scared of the staircase leading to the game room. Washer and dryer were way too small for a week's worth of dirty laundry, so don't wait until the last minute to do it. And everything seemed a bit sticky, from the cabinet doors to the info binder. I don't know if that was from cleaning or what. Overall, our first vacation together was wonderful, and the cabin only made it better. We'd love to come back one day." The parking is an issue as you share a small space with a second cabin so if you have 4 vehicles I wish you luck parking and getting turned around to get out. The check in process was below average, check in is set for 3pm and I wasn’t allowed to check in till 4:30. Once I was able to check in I realized the hot tub had no water and was told maintenance would come by and fix it, he did come by at 9:30pm to tell me it can’t be fixed and a spa repair company has to come fix it which never happened during my stay. The cabin they hype up as a perfect romantic getaway with a hot tub was the only reason we booked this specific cabin and by not finding out the hot tub was broken till I checked i feel ruined the trip and was a lot of money wasted, had I known sooner I could of looked for a second option to stay for the weekend. I was told to ask for a refund from the contact person I’ve been texting with my hot tub issues and check in issues so I did and then they denied the refund they told me to ask for. Booked this cabin last minute for 4th of July weekend. Had everything we wanted plus more. Everything was very clean, and we had no complaints other than the weekend went by too fast. Check in was easy, we had a late arrival and only had to use a door code when we arrived. Elk Springs texted within 30 minutes of our arrival to check up on us. " Jul 06, 2022 - , Williamson, WV "A Dirty Cabin to stay in.... We were looking forward to our stay in a cabin in Gatlinburg, TN. The management company seemed quite competent. As we were shopping for groceries the hour before arrival, they sent us a text saying the cabin wouldn’t be ready and we should come an hour and a half after the promised time. I texted that we were “down the street, ready to come over”. They texted “The cabin is ready”. So that was weird! (I later read reviews on Trip Advisor and it seems this is a common behavior with this management team. When we arrived at the cabin, Eagles Roost, I immediately wanted to leave. It hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned in more than a decade. And nothing in it has been updated in several decades. You can’t tell this in the pictures. The couch was so dirty (and worn out) I didn’t want to sit on it. The porches were filthy. There were lots of cobwebs on both porches and dead bugs on the outdoor chairs. They did not have any sponges or cleaning products so we couldn’t even clean what we would’ve wiped down to make it better for us. It was quiet and the jacuzzi worked. Also the washer and dryer had dirt in them (that was what I wanted to clean out but had no 409 spray or vinegar), so I didn’t do my laundry. We were extremely happy with our choice and plan to go again in fall. Very nice, comfortable, clean and nicely tucked into the trees for privacy. The staff was helpful and friendly. This was one of the best cabin we've rented. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Top floor was studio room with kitchen, dining, living room,king-size bed, and jacuzzi tub. Bathroom was also located on this floor and functioned properly.. The hot tub on balcony was very clean and working properly. Downstairs was a rec room with pool, ping pong, card table, chess/checkers, tv. All in good condition. Washer/dryer also located in rec room but we didn't use it. Location of cabin is right off highway, no problem getting to it. Rented cabin online, had no issues. Guest services checked in on us through texting. Checkout was through text and a breeze. Very comfy cabin. The toilet plumbing has an issue to where it is constantly running and making noise. The dryer violently shakes and is very loud at times. The bedding was not clean the day we arrived. It had many things, such as dirt, black specks that looked like dead bugs or mouse poop inside the sheets. We did, however, enjoy our stay.
