The beds were luxurious and the indoor pool was a great amenity for my kids. We loved the privacy the location provided. Overall proximity to downtown Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge was an easy 15 min ride. We can’t wait to plan our return trip." Jul 20, 2026 - Mike D., Charlton, MA "Horrible Stay For a luxury resort I would definitely look elsewhere. 2 out of the 3 nights were hot and humid and in talking with an agent there was no resolution as they didn’t tell me how to adjust anything. Towels are paper thin, 2 flat pillows on a King sized bed (bring extras), pilot light out on first floor fireplace yet second floor fireplace was lit and worked. Interior of unit was unfinished and windows were filthy obscuring the view. There were smears and stickers that said “Low e” on the windows. Pictures online were deceiving. Someone’s hair was floating in the pool as well. We booked directly with ESR and it said free early check in but guess what, we were notified that the unit wasn’t ready till 4 and check in was 3pm. On top of that Tennessee Waste water left a sticker on the door that said “sewer line was disconnected” do not use toilets. We left the unit for several hours which was not our intention while they figured out what to do. Finally they say that it was an error and we can use the toilets. Great, too late now. All agents had an attitude and never remedied any of our issues. We even let them know in advance that our disabled daughter would be bringing her service dog and they didn’t even supply food/water bowls. Luxury resort this is not. It’s more like a Motel 6. There are many other places you can spend your money and I’m just sorry I spent mine here so I hope I can spare someone else the same bad experience that I had. Elk Springs Resort don’t bother replying with your lies as I’ve heard them all already. The property was beautiful, the location was great, and the overall design and styling felt immaculate and thoughtfully done. It also felt very safe and family-friendly, which was especially important traveling with kids. The shower and bathtub were incredible, and having a private pool and sauna made the experience feel extra special. I also really appreciated the security measures around the pool area — everything was alarmed and designed in a way that helped ensure children couldn’t access it unsafely, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Overall, the cabin seemed very well maintained. My only criticism was that it appeared to be missing a true deep clean between guests. We noticed jelly smeared on one of the windows, quite a few cobwebs, and when my child dropped a toy under a chair and I moved it, I found remnants from previous guests like drink cans and children’s toys. That said, those issues didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed the stay overall. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to others, and we would definitely return for another stay." We enjoyed the private pool which was the perfect temperature; then got to enjoy a nice hot sauna. If that’s not enough at night we enjoyed watching a movie in the theater and playing some bubble hockey! The best part for us was the king bedroom on the top floor...that bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. A week of luxury sleep with beautiful views right from the bed! We will be staying with elk springs resort again in the future! The pictures really don’t give this place enough credit. The style and vibe of the cabin are both super relaxing and fun at the same time. I loved the sauna—it’s perfectly tucked away in the pool room. The pool itself was awesome for kicking back, even with the Arctic Blast outside (we came during a real cold spell!). Everything was sparkling clean, so it felt like we were the very first visitors. Plus, it’s close enough to town that you don’t feel isolated at all. The only nerve-wracking part was driving up the mountain because the roads were icy when we arrived, but the host stayed in touch and guided us the whole way. By the second day, the roads cleared up, and we enjoyed exploring town. While this might be pretty common in Tennessee and with cabins like this, we did have a lot of ladybugs in the bedroom (which ended up being one of my favorite spots in the house!). If bugs aren’t your thing, just be sure to prepare beforehand! Everything about the house is great, from the outdoor area to the yoga room. I can not wait to come back. Overall the cabin was nice. The master bedroom is upstairs and there is no door, the shower is in the open so no privacy if going with kids, had to use the shower located downstairs. Bring a speaker to play music in the pool area! The natural gas grill is located in the front near the front door. I wish it was on the back patio or the deck. Also keep in mind that this cabin does not have a hot tub. The pool room has an audio alarm with a button located at the top of the door. If you are shorter bring a step stool to reach the alarm button. Overall the cabin was clean but it was not swept/mopped when we arrived and there were dead bugs through out in plain sight that I had to clean. Also the fireplaces are only functional during colder seasons and not during the summer. Would have been nice to use for the view." The pros of this cabin is that it was beautiful, the service was woodsies, yet modern. We loved having a pool. The cabin was clean but did seen to have more spider webs than normal but otherwise clean. Cons: we did not like the roads it takes to get there, they were very back woods. One of the days it rained and a tree has fallen in the middle of the road & made it difficult to get to it cabin. The view from the cabin wouldn't been better but there was just a lot of fallen trees so not as picturesque as w would've liked. I think if they trim the down and clean up all the fallen/cut trees the view would really be great. The patio door did not seem as secure and needs better locks so I was nervous at night. Tv in bedroom froze a lot so made it difficult to relax and watch TV in the master bedroom. If the roads to get there were more main roads I wouldn't mind staying there again but just felt really uncomfortable traveling on the back roads, especially in rain & at night. There were a lot of spider webs and dead bugs in corners and windows that I felt should have been cleaned before our arrival along with the outdoor furniture seeing that there is a hefty cleaning fee for all who book. The outdoor sofa in front of the fire pit was beyond our cleaning so we had to enjoy the flames from the second floor balcony. We got notification that our check-in to Urban Cowboy was delayed, so we arrived late. The next morning we discovered our video game mach. was broken, the floors were sticky, the dishes were dirty, the kit faucet didn’t work & the pool fountain was not working properly & the rock wall was covered with what appeared to be algae. The maint. team argued this was patina from the copper cleaning system, however, the “patina” was slimy and came off on our finger when touched! After much deliberation, getting hung-up on by a cust svc rep & asking if this situation had to be resolved with litigation, they agreed to move us to Sugar Plum. This cabin was new & much better, however the video game mach. wouldn’t turn on and the bubble hockey game had a key broken player. The bunk bed comforter was dirty on the top. Our shower had hair sitting on the drain and the tub had a finger nail inside. Both games down stairs didn’t work until maintenance arrived. And we were asked to change our bedding when they finally arrive.We had to go purchase cleaning before we were actually able to get comfortable. The fireplace in the main room was in pieces and unhooked. It was very oddly furnished with furniture and I could go on but it won’t do any good.
