Jungle Bungalow is a lovely space to unwind and relax after a day of island fun. Located in Keaau on our Jungle Estate - two acres with 4 cottages - and close to many of the island's best adventures. Enjoy the privacy of Jungle Bungalow - a stand alone cottage with private patio and living amenities for 4 guests. Our open living room and kitchen allow for ease of cooking, watching DVDs, reading or simply unwinding with the sounds of nature. The one bedroom has a Queen size bed and small closet with hangers. A pull out sofa in the living room provides additional sleeping space. We provide a few beach essentials including beach towels and chairs for your adventures. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet and sink. A DVD player and a few movies are available for your entertainment on a small screen. The best feature is certainly the patio with table and chairs where you can view our colorful jungle garden and sounds of birds year round. There's a washer and dryer in the laundry closet for your convenience. Our Jungle Estate is located in Keaau, Hawaii a short drive to Hilo, Volcanoes National Park, Isaac Hale Park (the site of dramatic new geological beaches from the 2018 eruption), waterfalls, hikes and other natural wonders. Once inside the Bungalow, you'll find a binder full of our local recommendations for outdoor adventures, restaurants, shopping and more. Please be mindful of other guests at our Estate and follow local laws for Quiet Hours 9pm to 8am. This is a Hawaii County licensed short term rental. TA--01 STVR-19-366000 NUC-19-1865

6. CANCELLATION POLICY (not applicable to Hale Kai Suites. See section f, below): To offer you the best services possible, we strictly adhere to our cancellation policy. Guest shall inform Agent in writing of Guest’s intention to cancel the reservation. (For reservations made through third parties, additional cancellation policies may apply.) The cancellation policy is as follows:
a. If Cancellation notice is received thirty or more days (30+) prior to the check-in date, a cancellation fee of $75.00 will be retained and the balance will be refunded within 7 days from receipt of written cancellation.
b. If Cancellation notice is received less than thirty days but at least fifteen days (15-29) prior to the check-in date, fifty percent (50%) of the booking amount of rent and taxes will be forfeited. Half of the rent, tax, security deposit or damage waiver and any pre-collected cleaning fees will be refunded within 7 days from receipt of written cancellation.
c. NO REFUNDS if cancelled within 14 days of arrival (0 – 14). As a courtesy to our Guest, if Agent can rebook any portion of the canceled reservation, Guest will be refunded to the extent that Agent is able to re-book the Property.
d. This loss can be avoided if Travel Protection Insurance was purchased and the reason for cancelation is covered under the travel insurance policy. All reservation changes must be acknowledged in writing.
e. Owner/Agent Cancellation Policy: In the unlikely event that the Property becomes unavailable for any part of the tenancy for reasons beyond the control of the Agent, including but not limited to the sale of the property, Owner and/or Agent may cancel this Agreement and refund in full to the Guest all payments made. Agent will assist in procuring similar alternative accommodation should this situation arise. Guest agrees that any claims against Owner/Agent arising out of performance or
non-performance under this agreement shall be limited to a full refund of all consideration previously tendered by Guest.
f. Hale Kai Suites Cancellation Policy: The guest may cancel free of charge up to 14 days prior to arrival. The guest will be charged 50% of the total price if they cancel in the 14 days before arrival. No $75 cancellation fee charged on Hale Kai Suites cancellations.

Apparently no insulation in the attic. I could feel the heat radiating from the ceiling. No air conditioner. Other places we stayed in Hawaii that do not have A/C have much more screened window space to facilitate the breeze to cool the inside. A large window mounted fan would have helped. Property management personnel were pleasant, but might return my call a day or two later. We had great customer service from all the staff at Saltwater Hawaii. While we do wish there was laundry in the bungalow, there was a laundromat close by in Keeau. The property was very private from not only the public, but from the other guest homes on the property.
