Description |
Welcome to Hilo Terrace 228 in the heart of the historic town of Hilo on the east side of Hawaii Island where tourists mingle with locals and really experience the 'spirit of Aloha'. We welcome you enjoy Hilo and the surrounding areas. This complex is a mixed use with long term residents and visitors alike. The unit is a top floor location in a two story building with two bedrooms and one bathroom. There is one designated parking spot directly fronting the building , with exterior stairway leading to the front door. The condo unit has a full kitchen and living room with seating for up to four people. There are two bedrooms, each has a floor air-conditioning unit and a queen sized bed. There is one full bathroom in the condo with a bathtub and shower. You will have access to the condo complex swimming pool directly across the parking lot during your stay. There is also a conveniently located shared laundry room with coin operated machines for your use during your stay.
Good location to base your east Hawaii adventures at reasonable price!
NOTE on AC: there are two floor units for cooling down the bedrooms. These will not make the entire condo icy cold. Our temperate weather is generally comfortable without full AC.

Pets Not Allowed 6. CANCELLATION POLICY (not applicable to Hale Kai Suites. See section f, below): To offer you the best services possible, we strictly adhere to our cancellation policy. Guest shall inform Agent in writing of Guest’s intention to cancel the reservation. (For reservations made through third parties, additional cancellation policies may apply.) The cancellation policy is as follows: a. If Cancellation notice is received thirty or more days (30+) prior to the check-in date, a cancellation fee of $75.00 will be retained and the balance will be refunded within 7 days from receipt of written cancellation. b. If Cancellation notice is received less than thirty days but at least fifteen days (15-29) prior to the check-in date, fifty percent (50%) of the booking amount of rent and taxes will be forfeited. Half of the rent, tax, security deposit or damage waiver and any pre-collected cleaning fees will be refunded within 7 days from receipt of written cancellation. c. NO REFUNDS if cancelled within 14 days of arrival (0 – 14). As a courtesy to our Guest, if Agent can rebook any portion of the canceled reservation, Guest will be refunded to the extent that Agent is able to re-book the Property. d. This loss can be avoided if Travel Protection Insurance was purchased and the reason for cancelation is covered under the travel insurance policy. All reservation changes must be acknowledged in writing. e. Owner/Agent Cancellation Policy: In the unlikely event that the Property becomes unavailable for any part of the tenancy for reasons beyond the control of the Agent, including but not limited to the sale of the property, Owner and/or Agent may cancel this Agreement and refund in full to the Guest all payments made. Agent will assist in procuring similar alternative accommodation should this situation arise. Guest agrees that any claims against Owner/Agent arising out of performance or non-performance under this agreement shall be limited to a full refund of all consideration previously tendered by Guest. f. Hale Kai Suites Cancellation Policy: The guest may cancel free of charge up to 14 days prior to arrival. The guest will be charged 50% of the total price if they cancel in the 14 days before arrival. No $75 cancellation fee charged on Hale Kai Suites cancellations.

"Perfect Little Getaway!
Cute little Condo in Hilo. Perfect location for all my hiking adventures. Enjoyed the many restaurants in walking distance and inexpensive Uber to various beaches and activities. Fully stocked kitchen let me have some simple meals on the days I just wanted to hang out at the pool. The property was incredibly clean and amenities were fresh and updated. "

"Nice property close to downtown Hilo and an easy walk
This upstairs unit has 2 bedrooms and from the window you can see the pool area and your parked vehicle. We formed friendships with Chris the Manager and other owners. There are 2 entrances to the property and the Uber drivers will pick you up across from the pool. We used the stove to cook some meals. We also ate fresh fruit like papaya at the downtown market. The kitchen has plenty of equipment and supplies. We purchased reverse osmosis water to drink at home. You will want to make lots of ice cubes in the trays.And when i got too hot in this upstairs unit i went to the pool to cool off. The room conditioner is a large stand-up unit and also helps to cool off. There is some excess noise from the neighbor during quiet hours (10pm -6am). And from the garbage pickup during the night. Otherwise this property is in a safe area. We slept well there.And the Boba drink place down the street with covered picnic tables has great burgers that we loved. "
