Situated on Half Moon Bay, Playa Caribe is centrally located in Akumal and offers direct access to incredible snorkeling. Pool, Sun, more can you ask for? The Playa Caribe Studio units are located on the street side of the property. The beach is just a few steps away. The swimming pool is also located on the ocean side of the property. The beach and pool area have lounge chairs and shade palapas for guests to enjoy. Casita Natasha is great value for couples! KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry. The Riviera Maya is full of natural beauty, places to explore and opportunities for outdoor activities. We have a great list of activities and adventures completely unaffected by the arrival of sargasso that we would love to share with you. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations are effective on the date written notice is received by fax or e-mail in our office. If a refund is applicable, refund payment will be processed within 2-4 weeks of cancellation notice and will be in the form of US Check or refund to credit card account.

The following assessments will apply to cancellations: A fee of 5% of the total reservation amount will be applied to all cancelled reservations.

Cancellation prior to 60 days from arrival date will result in a cancelation fee of 5% of the Total Rent.
Cancellation 31 - 59 days from arrival date will result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the Total Rent.
Cancellation less than 60 days prior to arrival date will result in the forfeit of 100% of Total Rent.

Cancellation for any holiday reservation (Christmas, New Year's, Easter, and Thanksgiving weeks) will result in the forfeit of 100% of Total Rent. Some property owners will authorize rescheduling or credit towards a future stay. This strictly depends on the individual property owner and can not be guaranteed without authorization from said owner.

Your reservation may not be subject to refund in case of cancellation due to Hurricane, natural disaster, or other "acts of god". We strongly suggest that you purchase travel insurance to protect your vacation investment.

Never heard back from ANYONE!!! Need money refund. Missed plane in Cancun because Antonio didn't show up!!! A dehumidifier would have been nice to have. Not a lot of dishes, utensils & serving pieces in the kitchen. The heating elements on the stovetop were all bent up. We cook breakfast most mornings and had to do most of it in Studio Maria where our brother was staying. The beds are VERY firm. Studios are on the back side of the building with only 2 windows ( Kitchen door w/blinds and bathroom which also has a glass frosted door). The lights from the property shined in all night long like the Las Vegas strip so if you like to sleep in complete dark good luck. The property & beach were clean. Pool is nice overlooking the ocean although I had to clean it with the skimmer daily. It’s very dark at night. In my opinion the pool lights should to be kept on after dark for safety purposes. The security guard (Daniel) didn’t do much except set in front of his laptop instead of walking the grounds. We were watching the sunrise one morning and startled him as he was asleep on one of the beach loungers. Housekeeping service was excellent! Glenn & Barb who reside in Studio Annette are great people & so helpful. We bonded right away and enjoyed their friendship. We have stayed in Akumal several times and are in love with it. It was well organized, clean, and comfortable. The only thing that was difficult for me personally was the dampness in the Studio. That really can't be helped as the ground floor Studio is partially underground. It wouldn't be a problem for most, but my severe Arthritis made it more difficult.
