The large remodeled swimming pool is ideal for “laps” and also for small children and other water activities. Showers and restrooms are conveniently located in the large pavilion near the swimming pool and tennis courts. One of the most interesting features of the Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club are the numerous archaeological sites. These preserved areas provide a glimpse of Hawaiian life years ago. Each site has a posted description of the activities that took place years and years ago. The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club has many gardens and walking trails. ONE GOES DIRECTLY TO A BEACH!! Flowers and tropical foliage are abundant. There are several outdoor barbecue areas for guests to go to. CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made ninety (90) days or more prior to arrival shall not be responsible for the final balance of the reservation. The $200 deposit made at the time of booking is non refundable after the booking is made. Cancellations of less than ninety (90) days prior to arrival shall forfeit the entire rent and excise tax (less cleaning fees) unless we are able to re-rent the property. Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the canceled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

Breezes kept it comfortable without a/c. Nice complex overall in a wonderful location with food shopping very close. Only downside was you hear people walking above and we had folks next to us who let their kids run and play and yell in front of our unit. We were awakened early 3 morns in a row by their toddler when they took him outside and hung out in front of our place. We contacted management but that did not resolve anything, they told us we should have booked another unit and would not enforce noise rules. We have no problem with families having a good time but felt it should not be at the expense of others, especially since there is a great deal of common area along with a pool, racquet courts, and a volleyball area. Talked to management again once home and suggested they revise the listing so others know the area in front of units can be used as a playground but they were not responsive to this. We recommend the complex because of its location and amenities but if you want more quiet and privacy you should contact management for recommendations. We liked being removed from the road which meant for a quiet stay - except for the waves crashing against the shore (which we loved). We would stay here again. The Magic Sands Beach was great. Good eating places, espresso and grocery store up the hill. Drove to Hilo and to the volcano, not necessarily impressed. Black Rock Pizza is very good. Good restaurant choices in old Kona." The grounds, trees, bushes are well taken care of. The pool, pickle ball and tennis courts were very nice. The condo we stayed in 3-103 was very clean upon arrival and very comfortable. The view from the patio looking over the ocean was stunning. We watched the sunset every night. We found the condo has nice dishes, cups and appropriate items needed to make a meal. Furniture was typical hawaiian bambo but comfortable. Some of the other condo's had nicer furniture but more expensive nightly rate. The beds were fairly comfortable. The boogie board and snorkel supplies were a bonus as well as court equipment. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. The management company was very easy to work with and responded to concerns via text very quick. They are well detailed with check-in and out procedures as well as needed information. Very smooth.
