The bathroom has a walk in shower for you! In the living area, there's a sitting area if you want to get some R&R watching TV. There's a small dining area as well by the Queen Sized Bed. This is an incredible option for 1 or 2 people looking to be direct beach front. Kona Magic Sands is the only beachfront condominium complex in Kona. Enjoy an oceanfront pool there as well! There's a restaurant on site called Magics Grill as well! Laundry use is available in the complex, which is a shared common area. CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made ninety (90) days or more prior to arrival shall not be responsible for the final balance of the reservation. The $200 deposit made at the time of booking is non refundable after the booking is made. Cancellations of less than ninety (90) days prior to arrival shall forfeit the entire rent and excise tax (less cleaning fees) unless we are able to re-rent the property. Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the canceled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

In addition to the ocean view and sounds right out the window, there is a small and very popular white sand beach adjacent to the property, and there is a restaurant in the complex with oceanfront seating, plus a take-out cafe with breakfast and lunch and tables along the beach. Quite the package! The room was clean and lovely and we spent much time sitting by the big sliding doors right over the ocean. There is beach gear in the closet, very convenient. There were simple extras like chairs, umbrella, and body boards to use at the beach. Also the restaurant on site was great when we didn't want to go far. We would come back here easily." This was probably the most outdated unit we have stayed in. I don’t know if the owners are new to this unit. If so, I hope they will invest in new kitchen cabinets, new appliances, lights and fans. We did notice the new flooring and that’s a start. For my own comfort, the bed was too soft. I prefer a firm mattress for my back so for that reason alone i would choose another unit. As far as property management, the unit was very clean and the property is as well maintained as can be considering the damage done to the sea wall by the surge during bad weather. Damaged areas were well marked. I would stay at Kona Magic Sands again just not in this unit until improvements have been made. All in all we enjoyed our stay on the Big Island. First, bed sheets are Awful! Old, worn and scratchy. 2. One set of towels are not enough for a couple/week stay (I don't want to wash on VAC). 3. The rattan furniture is old, dusty and very uncomfortable. The details matter. You would get return guests if these simple fixes were applied. As I stated the view is priceless." It was a beautiful room in a fantastic location with a beautiful view. I would probably stay there again. I did have some issues with the management company. I felt like they were a little heavy handed and over the top with threats of punishments and fees if anything went wrong. I have never had to fill out and sign and initial ten pages of contract before being able to rent a place before. There was also some issues at check out. I left my keys behind and I was very grateful that they would mail them back to me, but I did feel like charging me $80 to mail some keys was a little outragious, especially after having just paid over $3,000 for the rental. I would have expected them to just charge the $12 shipping and done it as a courtesy service. I accidently left behind many other items which were never mentioned and ended up with someone for free. The views from our open air condo were breathtaking! We saw dolphins, schools of fish, tide pools, sunsets, the moon and stars from the comfy furniture and bed! We left our huge sliding glass doors open to hear the waves crash against the lava rock.. we slept like babies! We didn’t need the air conditioning, as the cross breeze thru the condo was amazing! The condo was well appointed with; boogie boards, beach chairs, pool noodles, coolers, and all the kitchen supplies you need to cook if you choose. The restaurant and beach onsite are the best! Friendly and accommodating, along with the best food and drinks! We walked and biked All’i drive to all the get groceries, restaurants, and all the public access beaches. We also took the free open air trolley that makes a loop to all the above! It picks you up, and drops you off right at magic sands beach. The management company was available by phone or text if we needed to ask questions and were more than accommodating. We will be back!
