The $200 deposit made at the time of booking is non refundable after the booking is made. Cancellations of less than ninety (90) days prior to arrival shall forfeit the entire rent and excise tax (less cleaning fees) unless we are able to re-rent the property. Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the canceled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

We were here when Kilauea was active and saw some of the activity at night. The only issue with the unit we stayed at was that the remote in the living area did not work. It looked like it had dropped off of the holder on the wall. We were able to use the other remote to control the air conditioning system. The beds were comfortable - especially the main bed with the mattress topper. There were plenty of linens and I appreciated having access to a mop when we tracked in a bit of sand. The condo was very clean upon arrival, especially the floors. With a sandy area, they can be a challenge. Sometimes cleaning supplies are locked away, so thank you for having some available. We used all appliances and they all worked well. The air conditioners worked and we were able to keep temps. to our liking. The view was just as pictured and the area was nice and quiet. We did walk to a small, rocky beach that was 10-15 minutes from the condo and liked being outside of Kona because it was quieter. There were some beach chairs and other equipment in the closets and cupboards and that was also much appreciated! We used the small cooler everyday. The only thing we think would have helped us was having a receptacle dedicated or labeled for recycling to make it easier when we took garbage out of condo it would have already been sorted. My husband I and our 2 cousins that stayed with us would give this 2bedroom and 2 bath a 5 star rating. Just a beautiful place to stay. so nicely decorated, a very homey feeling about the place. The beds were comfortable, we all were talking about that after a couple of nights. the bathroom on the main floor has a large walk in shower with 2 shower heads. The condo was spacious in its self. we spent most all the time on the lanai (deck) which is covered. This was our favorite room of the condo. Kitchen was bright and easy to get around. the management company has starter package of dish cleaner, garbage bags and ect, ect. very nice thing to do for guests. location was Ideal for getting around. take a left turn out of the resort and you are on the road that is next to the ocean with beach's and eventually you will end up where you can shop and eat at numerous restaurants. You go straight up the hill from the resort and you come to the shopping mall that has the grocery store which has a liquor store in it. close to the airport about 20 minutes depending on traffic. One other thing about our resort that we stayed at is the main swimming pool has a very nice restaurant and bar next to it and a few evenings there was live music being played. very nice. We would recomend anyone to stay there. The best Snorkeling that we found was only about a half a mile from the resort, it was a park and open to the public, has life guards on duty but is a must to wear water shoes. The one thing that was not mentioned was that the lighting is very dim. You don't have enough light to read any thing but electronic devices. And with the lightbulb out in the living room, it was very dark. The communication from management was great before and after our stay. But during our stay, we never received a response after emails and phone call to them. The issues were minor: burned out lightbulbs, no batteries in the DVD remote control, no dishwashing soap for the dishwasher and we understand that these things happen as a lot of guests rent the unit. The hairdryer was a problem as the plug would not stay in the wall socket. Didn't bother to report as they never Contacted us to remove the issues. The wifi was non existent when we arrived and was not back until after 24 hours , after contacting the resort's tech support. Also the security is poor with no deadbolt in the front door. And the code for the front door lockbox is so easy and not sure it is ever changed. Location also great - right off of Alii Drive and steps away from the shopping center. We had a problem with the Wifi for the unit but the folks at the resort office solved it by providing a different resort wifi access. There was someone else's hair in the bed sheets, and the shower was a bit weak , but those issues altogether did not bother us as much as the fact that the property manager called us on the first day we were there to ask to show the unit to a potential buyer - the fact that the unit is on the market for sale should have been disclosed. Even though it was OK for us to say we didn't want to be disturbed, we wound up feeling like we were inconveniencing the owner. Had the property manager disclosed this to us when we called in about the unit prior to booking, we might have been ok with a showing. Nov 25, 2016 - "A Great Place to Stay in Keauhou We had a great time in 8204 at Kona Coast Resort at Keauhou Gardens. The pictures on VRBO do the place justice; they are accurate. The loft is locked, obviously for use by the owners. Nevertheless, there was plenty of room on the main level for the two of us. We loved the oversized bathroom with the two-person shower. The lanai overlooks the resort, with the ocean visible just off to our right. The views of the sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking. The air conditioning units in the living room and bedroom worked fine. Wireless Internet was good. If you normally sleep on a firm mattress, the bedroom will suit you well. The resort has a number of amenities available for renters of 8204 - tennis courts, shuffleboard, a poolside bar & grill - all of which made our stay memorable. A couple of Weber barbecues are available for your use a short 30-second walk from 8204; they are communal. The service we received from Knutson & Associates was very good; a couple minor maintenance issues were swiftly resolved to our satisfaction. Any questions we had were answered promptly and professionally. The location was perfect - a short drive or nice walk from the Keauhou Shopping Centre and Sam Choy's. I have stayed in other units at Kona Coast and knew what to expect. This was as good as any other unit that we have stayed at as a relative of a timeshare owner at Kona Coast for the past 25 years. However, we were ROBBED by someone the day we l left! Security had let a suspicious vehicle into the complex so that they could pick up a friend. Well they grabbed about $4000 (by the time we replace it) worth of stuff in one suitcase. Luckily it was the last 4 hours of our trip and it was mostly clothing and some souviners. Very few things in the baggage were irreplaceable. I have been going to Hawaii for 25 years and always have been careful to lock my belongings or not bring valuables. But I was loading our luggage into our car, stupidly left the tailgate open while I went back for additional luggage....and it was GONE. I figured it would have been safe in a SECURE complex for at least 5 min. I was wrong. Worst of all, Wynham has denied any possibility of reimbursement for my lost property under THEIR hired security. I will still likely book at this resort again.....with a more watchful eye. It really left a sour taste in my mouth. Sucked all the ALOHA out of me. But live and learn. Again great place just not as secure as you would hope." My daughter competed in her first Ironman World Chanpionship in Kona and our rental played a big part in making this race fantastic. You can tell the owners care about the place...great matresses and everything you could need from coolers to towels and more. The only bummer is that the property is pretty far from the ocean. We knew we wouldn't be oceanfront, but there is a huge golf course between you and the water. The pool area was pretty nice...and the condo complex is well set up for kids (we had our 4 year old with us so having the pool & playgronds on site was nice.) The staff was friendly. A great value for Hawaii...and if it was adults only I'd suggest an oceanfront place with less amenities to drink in the ocean. Again, this unit is well done and very well cared for.
