Honu Hale (turtle house) is our dream come true & could be your dream vacation home when you stay. Located in a prime area at the gated Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club, this first floor 2 BD, 2 BA is spacious & recently decorated to reflect artist owners with Hawaiian decor. No lugging heavy suitcases or bags of groceries up flights of stairs. Your reserved parking spot is right in front of the building and just a few steps away. Magnificent views are offered from your private large lanai of the Kona Country Club, which is open to the public, and a large grassy area for family fun.
Inside you’ll find a remodeled stocked kitchen so that you can cook your own meals, should you choose to do so, or you can go a short distance up Alii Drive to the Keauhou Shopping Center where you’ll find restaurants, drug store, grocery store, movie theater complex, book store, coffee shop, boutiques and even a Jam’s World for Hawaiian wear. Each Friday there is free live Hawaiian entertainment for your pleasure.
The dining room has seating for 6 at your glass table and 2 at the bar & good times will be had as you gather around.
The connecting living space comfortably seats 6 on 2 comfortable sofas, one of which opens up to a queen bed and a large chair, ottoman & additional recliner! You’ll find a TV here with cable for your favorite shows. Free WiFi is available. Guest Bedroom Roku TV too!
All of these rooms have a view out the large glass doors opening up to your private lanai. You’ll enjoy relaxing here, complete with 2 reclining lounge chairs and 1 table that seats 4! Additional tables and chairs are in the locked outdoor closet for your use. Inside this closet you’ll find beach and recreation items for your use.
Adjoining the living space is the Master bedroom and a Cal King bed with bright colorful decor to add to your enjoyment. It also opens up to your lanai and view. There are sliding shoji screens that you can close for privacy. The large master bathroom offers you a luxurious tiled shower complete with a teak fold up seat. You’ll also find a full sized washer & dryer here for your convenience. There is a door so that your master suite can be closed off from the other bedroom for privacy.
Guest bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Second bedroom offers cheerful bedding & 1 twin bed & 1 Queen Bed. All rooms have ceiling fans & Air Conditioning! This amenity is an additional $25.00 per night. This charge is automatically added to your bill upon booking. If you would prefer to not have AC please inform a written request to have this amenity and charge removed from your bill. 2 other free standing fans are available for your use. Throughout our condo you’ll find original art work inspired by the Big Island and the Hawaiian culture.The condo complex is located on 17 acres of beautifully landscaped property that offer you a pavilion with grills, picnic tables, and a grass volleyball court nearby. A short walk takes you to the remodeled pool where you can swim laps or just relax. Tennis/Pickleball player? Then this is the place for you. There are 3 professional style Tennis/Pickleball courts with night lighting. Numerous Hawaiian archaeological sites with descriptions throughout the complex that you can explore. If you’re into ocean views and sunsets, just walk out of the condo, turn left and walk a short distance between buildings 1 and 2 to the public access. There you’ll find a walking path along the lava rock and crashing waves and a picnic table where you can have pupus and drinks while you watch for humpback whales in season, spinner dolphins and sunsets. Who knows, you might even be lucky enough to see the green flash.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made ninety (90) days or more prior to arrival shall not be responsible for the final balance of the reservation. The $200 deposit made at the time of booking is non refundable after the booking is made. Cancellations of less than ninety (90) days prior to arrival shall forfeit the entire rent and excise tax (less cleaning fees) unless we are able to re-rent the property. Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the canceled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

We had a great stay with Keauhou Kona Surf & Racket Club. We had 44 family members stay somewhere within the complex, and we had snorkeling, body surfing, and surfing within walking distance. We decided to return to Kona next year and, stay here the next time too."

"Great trip to kona
Overall, this ground floor, spacious rental was great place to stay! The unit was clean and had all the necessities. Location is great, we stayed in November and didn’t find we needed the A/C. We used the supplied fans and that was all we needed. The green space off the back deck was really nice.
The rental came with a pack of 2 dishwasher pods, a small amount of laundry detergent and no extra garbage bags so keep this in mind if you are stopping to get groceries/supplies on the way and don’t want to spend your trip running back and forth to the store. It would be a huge improvement if a few spare garbage bags were supplied as these are necessities I have always had supplied with other rentals and wouldn’t have thought to grab at the store.
The fun closest was a great help, but bring a collapsible cooler bag if you have limited space in your car. The supplied beach chairs could use some updating.

"Relaxing Kona Vacation Spot
We had a quiet, relaxing vacation on Kona at this condo. The unit is clean and spacious. It’s Greta to have 2 bathrooms, 3 beds and a walk out patio to the open grassy area. We especially enjoyed the pool which my kids swam in at least once/day.
The condo has everything we needed for our stay and when one free standing fan didn’t work and the other was not found, 2 new ones were delivered the same day I contacted the management. "

The unit was as described, in a convenient location and clean. We were a bit disappointed that basic spices, a starter supply of coffee, et al were not provided. The a/c was an option that we added on - and needed. "

Walk to snorkel, few minutes from town, grocery store very close by. The beds were comfy. If we return, we would definitely stay here again. "Family Vacation
This rental was a nice space and location for my family of five and fit our needs well. It was a short walk Kahalu'u Beach Park and an easy drive to a number of attractions and historic sites. We liked the racquet club and its facilities. Nice sunset views were just steps away. The condo itself was nice, the items in the outside closet were very useful, and being on the ground floor made access easy. The downside of the ground floor was keeping the doors and windows locked when not present and when asleep. Between this and the discouragement of using the air conditioning, the place had a musty smell initially. We did fine at night with the windows closed (for safety) and without A/C, but the condo felt stuffy come morning. That was just a minor item. As someone who strives to leave a place better than I found it, I did not appreciate the forced damage waiver fee. On the positive side, the washing machine and dryer were great to have. The owners left helpful instructions that made it easy to navigate our way around the condo."

"The Big Island
We were 5 adults, our rental was great, spacious, clean, everything we saw online, was accurate. Directions were perfect, location was near the Kona airport. We enjoyed the pool a few times, it was just a short walk from our rental.

"Quick Island escape
We shot out to the islands on a short business trip, and took this condo for a few days to fill in our overall length of stay. The Surf and Racquet Club is fantastic! The unit is in a decent location in the complex, but just a few issues with some of the furnishings. The Master bed was super uncomfortable, no TV in the bedroom, the furniture in the front room has seen it's better days and is not very comfortable. Luckily the property manager was great to work with, and the unit was **** and span clean!"

We are a family of four with two adult kids that stayed in the suite for 9 nights. The place suited our needs perfectly. Here are a few of our favourite things about the suite.
-lots of seating to hangout at night
-two bathrooms
-watching the sunset from the beach at the complex
-used the barbecues almost every night
-location is awesome to snorkel, surf, and swim.
-the suite has beautiful art throughout
-having beach stuff to use was awesome (chairs, boogie boards etc)
-loved drinking coffee in the morning on the lanai.

"Amazing location which made a great vacation
The perfect accommodations for my family of 3 adults and two teenagers. The condo was very clean, comfortable and well stocked even had the necessary beach supplies like beach umbrella,towels, cooler,snorkeling gear, beach chairs and more.
The location of this condo is amazing, a very short drive (or walking distance for some) from great snorkeling, sandy beaches, kona shopping and grocery store but still nestled away on a lovely landscaped, private and gated property.
Management was also very accommodating and quick to respond to our questions.
We are recommending this rental to family and friends. Do not hesitate to make this your home while visiting the Big Island of Hawai'i."

"Hawaii Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed the unit. It was clean, had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer. The complex is very quiet, clean, and only steps from the ocean. So grateful that the unit was well stocked with umbrella, beach chairs, fins, snorkles, boogie board, etc., which makes it so convenient for beach days. Thank you very much. "Great Stay on Kona side
Had a great few days at this location. We definitely used the extras provided including canvas bags for groceries, coolers, pool and water toys (goggles, boogie board). While onsite we enjoyed the ocean and sunset views, the pool, sacred areas with history, and the lanai with a nice view. Location is a short drive to main tourist strip and a walk to the nearest beaches and shopping center (groceries, subway). We have no complaints about the living area everything was clean and functioned well. The contact person was very friendly making sure we felt welcomed and free to call if we had any issues, which there were none. "

"Perfect for Our Family
We reserved this lovely unit for our daughter and her family visiting from the Mainland. We wanted a place that would be comfortable for two adults, a teenager, and a one year old. We also wanted a space where grandparents and friends could drop by and enjoy talking story or share a meal. This was perfect. It was clean, spacious and safe for the baby. The furniture inside and on the lanai was very comfortable. The tropical decor and artwork created a very restful, yet cheerful atmosphere. The unit was well ventilated with large sliding doors to the outside shaded lanai and numerous ceiling fans. Our family found it comfortable even with the record high temperatures during their stay. We also appreciated the swimming pool that has a generous shallow end for the keiki, the mature landscaping, the easy access to the ocean shoreline, and the preserved historic Hawaiian structures on the grounds. Yes, we would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. "

"Week in July stay
Property is as described but it is dated and could use some repairs especially in the kitchen. It took us a day or two to get used to being out in the Kona sun and coming back to no AC but at nights it cooled down with the doors and windows open. The pool is really nice and always warm. We walked to the gray sand beach and saw turtles as well. There is updated bedding and nice couches. I would recommend to a friend as the location is great. "

"perfect spot
We live on Kauai, but come to Hawaii Island every few years to snorkel in your amazing reefs. The condo was updated and perfect. We have two girls, and not a singlw complaint. We would do this again and stay there again."
