CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made ninety (90) days or more prior to arrival shall not be responsible for the final balance of the reservation. The $200 deposit made at the time of booking is non refundable after the booking is made. Cancellations of less than ninety (90) days prior to arrival shall forfeit the entire rent and excise tax (less cleaning fees) unless we are able to re-rent the property. Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the canceled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

The pictures in the description are accurate and fully catch the beauty and warmth of this condo. Kitchen has a full array of utensils, dishes and cookware. Everything we needed to prepare meals. We enjoyed the bathroom’s spectacular walk in shower and double sink vanity. The comfortable living room with a large tv was great. The lanai was a pleasant option for morning coffee, a cocktail and meals. We have no complaints and are so happy we chose this unit. Casa De Embeko is an older complex, but well maintained offering us a tropical environment with two good sized pools that were never crowded when we swam. One is salt water and one is fresh water. We enjoyed relaxing and reading on the beach. A pavilion offered cover for when there were a couple of light showers. They checked in to see how things were going and responded immediately. I highly recommend this spacious 1-bedroom condo. It has a huge lanai that offers a peek-a-boo view of the ocean - you're close enough to hear the waves and see a few too. The oceanfront saltwater pool was our favorite. There's a little "nook" off to the left of the pool that we dubbed "Mermaid's Cove" as we liked to lay on our beach chairs there and stare at the ocean's beauty. We saw a baby whale splashing off in the distance, which was magical. Highly recommend this property to those who are looking for peace & quiet (quiet times are enforced from 10pm-8am). I will say my 8-year-old daughter was one of the louder people at the pool(s) as it seems to be largely an older group of folks that either reside there for part of the year or visit for long periods of time. Both represent the condo and property truely. For a family of three, this condo was perfect and felt like home away from home. We enjoyed the spacious lanai to eat breakfast and relax. Everything was clean ready for us upon check in. Knutson & Associates Property Management were readily available via text or call to help out with any questions, needs, or concerns. The condo is close to downtown Kona and right on the ocean. Most of the Big Island has lava/shoreline, and Casa De Emdeko is on such a shoreline. But they have created a nice sandy beach under palm trees to relax at, and an awesome saltwater pool right along the shoreline to swim in. If the ocean has large enough swells, waves can crash into the edge of the pool which is fun! There is a sandy beach 3 miles south of Casa de Emdeko that is great for boogie boarding and diving under waves before they crash on shore (Magic Sands Beach). Great snorkeling at Kahalu'u Beach Park is just a few minutes further down the road (Ali'I Dr.). To the north are great sandy beachs about a 30- 60 minute drive in the Kohala resort areas. I would definitely recommend staying here as a home base for checking out all the Big Island has to offer or as a place to just stay local near Kona and relax. Oh,and the manta ray night snorkel, Pu'uhonua o Honaunau NHP, and Volcanos NP are must see while on the Big Island. The lanai was setup was convenient. The TVs were large with great reception. The whole condo was immaculately clean when we arrived and there were all the necessary cleaning supplies included. The kitchen was well laid out and stocked with everything we needed. We loved the shower in the bathroom. It was enormous, with a river rock bottom, a large seat under the showers, 6 nozzles to spray from all imaginal directions. The controls were digital, so that you could set the temperature and flow rates and temperatures that you preferred, and get them every time when you turned it on. The beds and linens were quite comfortable and the kitchen was nicely stocked so we could cook and enjoy many meals outside on the lanai. We have stayed in other condos at Case De Emdeko but none as beautifully upgraded as condo 210. The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed to make excellent meals, it was beautifully refurbished. The bathroom, living room, and lanai was well appointed and upgraded. While the view of the ocean is not as vast from condo 210, as other condos it's still fantastic. The only recommendation I would make is to add an umbrella and chairs for beach adventures. The snorkel gear was a nice touch, though not something we needed. Overall I would stay at condo 210 again without hesitation. The condo and property were clean and bright, the fragrances used in the condo were lovely. The ac was most welcomed after warm days. We've stayed at the Casa a few times and our family members have stayed in other units at the Casa many times. This unit was by far one of the nicest ones we've seen or stayed at. It was spacious, clean, updated, and very comfortable! We were traveling with an infant, and enjoyed having the extra space in this 1 bedroom unit as opposed to some of the smaller 1 bedroom floorplans. The lanai is beyond amazing - we spent time out there every single day. The daybed on the lanai felt comfortable and clean and the patio table on the lanai was very nice and good quality furniture. The only downside (which is no one's fault) is that was that we wish it was on the top floor instead of the 2nd floor!! With an infant, sleep was sparse so it was extremely frustrating to hear every step taken on the unit above us. It reverberates throughout the condo, so no matter where the footsteps are you can hear them from all parts of the unit. Personally, we would choose to stay on a top floor next time, even if it's not as nice as this unit. One disappointment was that we were originally told by the property owner (when she was allowing bookings through a vacation rental site and not through Knutson) that there was a pack-n-play included at the unit for infants. Which was honestly one of the main reasons we chose this unit! But when the property was transferred to Knutson, I inquired with Knutson about whether the pack-n-play was still included and I was informed that it was not included. However, when we arrived (after hauling our pack-n-play from home) we were surprised to see that there WAS in fact a pack-n-play in the master closet for our use! That was super frustrating because the pack-n-play took up half of one of our suitcases and was a pain to haul around. But that's what happens when you book through a property management company like this instead of booking directly with the property owners on a vacation rental site!"
