Sealodge J9 offers dramatic and uninterrupted oceanfront views, top floor privacy, and your own furnished oceanfront lanai. Living room and both bedrooms have big picture windows with full unobstructed ocean front panoramas. The decor is fun and island-themed, the furnishings comfortable, and there's beach gear in the closet for your fun in the sun. With a full kitchen, this charming sea view rental gives you the option to stay in and enjoy a romantic al fresco dinner on the lanai. If you don't feel like cooking, the Princeville center is one mile away and offers multiple dining options, in addition to a grocery store and a wine market. (Please note that there is no dishwasher.)
The master bedroom downstairs is furnished with a queen bed, and the accordion door can be closed to provide privacy from the living area. You'll fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the surf, and wake up to a glorious view without even having to get out of bed! Upstairs, you'll find a loft bedroom with two twin beds, and a second bathroom. The loft has a half wall so that it's open to the living room below. The cute island decor scheme continues up here, and there's an even more dramatic view. A second full bathroom is upstairs. With the punee in the living room (twin size window alcove bed) you can comfortably sleep 5 people. The punee is surrounded by windows and ocean views - perfect for a lazy morning watching for whales or spinner dolphins. Washer and dryer in the condo mean you can keep those beach towels fresh and clean. Enjoying a relaxing rainy afternoon indoors? Smart television, a DVD player, and free wifi are included. Heading to the beach? You'll find beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogie boards, and a cooler. This is the perfect island casual setting!
Our Kauai vacation rentals at Sealodge are located at the end of a small quiet side road, with no through traffic, that ends at a dramatic ocean bluff. These Princeville condos face the ocean on their lanai side. Parking is on the back side - it's free and conveniently close. A short hike brings you to the secluded north shore Sealodge Beach. The jungle trail crosses a small stream then descends to a secluded sandy cove. The ocean at Sealodge Beach is shallow and protected by a reef, making it ideal for snorkeling and swimming. There is a pool and BBQ area (grills are charcoal and you must bring your own briquettes). Try one of our Sealodge condos for a unique, personal, and affordable experience. Sealodge is comfortable, quiet, and island casual.
As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.
This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down stairs. There are no elevators.
Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.

"Location! Location! Location!
The condo is centrally located to many places in the northern section of Kuaui. So many beaches to choose from and the unit provides chairs, an umbrella, cooler. The site itself is a bit like a fishbowl with neighbors visible in their units and the view from this unit is a bit obstructed with the layout of the building itself. "

"needed getaway
We had a great getaway and always love staying in the sealodge rentals. This particular rental could use some TLC and upgrades but it wasn't enough to hinder our getaway. The main items is most of the screens need to be addressed as they have holes, which then meant we had bugs. Just some easy deep cleaning and a few minor fixes and this place would be right back at the top. "

When we arrived we noticed that the binocolars were broken, the couch cushions were ripped.There were ants on the counter around the sink.
When we went to the beach to use a beach chair and an umbrella they were broken and we couldn't use I notified the rental agency and they deducted $100. from the cost of the rental. Other than these items the stay was nice."

"Overall, a relaxing place to stay
Sealodge J9 was homey and inviting. We were comfortable and relaxed. The pictures didn’t do the location justice, as it was far more comfortable and beautiful than pictured in the advertisement. There were some minor issues... but nothing that impeded our vacation.
The staff was wonderful with their contact and making sure we were happy.
Would stay/book with them again! "

"Beautiful Views!
We loved our stay here! Beautiful views of the ocean from the living room, bedroom and loft. We even saw amazing sunrises through our little bathroom windows! We woke up to whale sightings and jet ski surfing right in front of our patio! What I loved even more than all the spectacular views was hearing the waves crashing 24 hours a day. Not a bad way to fall asleep or wake up! The size was perfect for our family of 4 and had everything we needed for cooking in and for heading to the beach (although 2 of the beach chairs were broken upon our arrival). The washer and dryer was so appreciated for our longer stay and our constant beach towel use! The place and furniture is a little outdated/worn, but I would definitely stay here again. "

"Perfect is an understatement
This place captures the beauty of this beautiful Island. Normally when you’re in your hotel it isn’t as a nice as being out there in nature BUT that’s not the case with this place. You can really enjoy the beauty from in side. It will be a must for me to stay here again for every visit to Kauai. I can’t wait to come back. "

"A home in paradise
Aloha,
We’ve been visiting Kauai for 30 years. About 12+ times in this very condo. We know it well.
For Housekeeping,
Thank you for providing some of the missing pieces to this condo like:
- mixing bowls
- placemats (very nice)
- extra cutlery (especially teaspoons)
- whisk (for whipping batter)
- a working can opener ��
For the next guests, the condo still needs:
a pitcher for water etc
A small, non-metal spatula for flipping pancakes (currently it only has a large metal one which can damage the nonstick pans)
Trivets/potholders
A steamer insert to cook vegetables
Housekeeping provided 3 new large non-medal serving spoons. The condo already has one. Not sure it needs 3 more. I left them on the table so they can be used elsewhere.
For Facilities:
The kitchen blind is stuck in the up position.
The living room lamp in the corner is missing a bulb
Tiny ants were present in the kitchen upon arrival when no food was around surrounding the frig door, along the bottom of the cabinet over the stove and along the sink. I used vinegar on a paper towel to wipe down where they were and on the counter. It helped and is a non-toxic option.
The internet went out regularly during our stay but especially during the second week. It required re-connecting with the password. Frustrating and annoying. Not sure what you can do about improving the connection.
On the plus side: The views!
The fans work beautifully!
The beach chairs are the best we’ve encountered
Loved that there are 2 boogy boards; while we brought our own snorkeling gear, there’s a plethora of gear for guests which they should advertise
Great new laundry machines!
All other appliances worked as expected
SeaLodge has been a home away from home for us."

"Time to relax
The location of the Sealodge condominiums is great for its views and not feeling too crowded. It is a convenient location whether opting to go to Hanalei or points north or into others areas of the island. There was plenty of room for my son and I at the condo. My concerns regarding our stay had to do with the overall condition of the unit and how the photos suggested it was in significantly better condition than it was actually in ( interior appears very dated, somewhat drab, furnishings very worn, outside weather-beaten and aged ) Due to this, it would be helpful for other renters to have a better feel for what they are getting so they can adjust expectations. "

"Room with a view & more!
Sealodge J9 was the perfect place for a family of 5 to holiday in. The view was incredible, & the extra touches of snorkles, flippers & goggles added to the fun of our holiday.
The house was well equipt with kitchen utensils, it was clean & tidy.
The upstairs room did get a bit hot - but the breeze from the ocean definitely helped.
We would definitely return to this location "

We had a great time at Sealodge J9. The views were amazing - especially enjoyed watching the whales each day. Loved falling asleep to the waves. Very flexible property management - we were able to check out late for our late flight. The COVID19 virus caused things to get a bit crazy, but we still enjoyed our stay. Mahalo!"

The property is in a great location but other than that not impressed. We walked in to a funky odor every time we came in. Guessing it was from the carpet. Off white carpet in a tropical place? The toilet made a loud long noise every time it flushed. They need curtains on the large window in living room. And we had no trade winds making it unbearably hot for us. Do not recommend. "
