Sealodge A6 is a corner unit that offers guests breathtaking, unobstructed second floor oceanfront views from the living areas, lanai and bedroom. Wake up in a romantic ocean view bedroom that has louvered solid wood doors that glide shut to create a haven of privacy. Enjoy wooden floors throughout, upgraded kitchen appliances, comfortable furnishings and beautiful artwork from local Hawaiian artists. The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable queen size bed, and 100% cotton linens and curtains throughout. There is an additional full sized bed in the living room area which also boasts an unobstructed ocean view. Full kitchen. Additional amenities include free wifi, cable television, washer and dryer. There is a pool and BBQ area (BYOB - Bring Your Own Briquettes). Our Princeville vacation rentals at Sealodge Kauai are located at the end of a small quiet side road, with no through traffic, ending at a dramatic ocean bluff. For guests who are comfortable with a ten minute hike, a short but rugged private trail leads you from the unit to Sealodge Beach, where guests may enjoy all that Northshore Kauai beaches have to offer: swimming, sunning, beach combing, and snorkeling, Shopping and dining are conveniently close, with the Princeville shopping center and Foodland grocery store just a mile and a half away. The charming town of Hanalei and the world famous Hanalei beaches are a brief ten minute drive from the condo. Sealodge is comfortable, quiet, island casual and perfect for guests who wish to explore the Northshore and its unparalleled natural wonders. (Note that due to physical characteristics of the property and its geography, this property may not be suitable for children.) As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned, but has overhead fans and invigorating cross-breezes from screened windows. This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down stairs. There are no elevators. You may park your rental car in the Sealodge parking lot immediate adjacent to your unit, after printing the parking permit emailed to you prior to arrival. This home has the most reliable internet available in the Princeville area, however the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party. We shopped at the grocery stores on the island, stocked our fridge with yummy POKE, and fresh fruit. I made breakfast every morning in the amazing little kitchen and ate it on our porch! My husband and I hiked down to the water from the trailhead beside this location. Very slippery and steep trail, but so worth it. Bring good hiking shoes for this island! During our stay, it had not been secured to the counter. Pulling out a loaded drawer tipped the entire machine forward threatening to dump its contents onto the kitchen floor. Condo had two camp style beach chairs and two umbrellas to haul to the beach. Kitchen did not have anything like salt and pepper due to Covid so buy these things at the store. The views of breaking waves and out to sea from the bedroom, living area and little lanai are truly lovely. The condo itself is nicely furnished and somewhat updated, if small. The Sealodge complex shows its age, and appears to be in a constant state of renovation. The development’s design is creative and responsive to the landscape, in contrast with the very cookie-cutter nature of many of the other condo developments in Princeville. However, the fact that it is covered in cedar shake shingles has caused it to weather substantially over the years. The doors and windows also are original. Kauai Kahuna management was responsive to our maintenance requests during our five day stay, and unfailingly helpful and cheerful.
