You'll also enjoy the shady private lanai, with peekaboo ocean views and seating for two.
Situated perfectly for you to have quick walking access to everything in Princeville, Puamana 21D is a fabulous jumping off point for your island adventures. Anini Beach, home to Hawaii's longest coral reef and perfect for swimming and snorkeling, is just a brief 8 minute hike away on a shady path. The Princeville Shopping Center is only 15 minutes away on foot, and has a Foodland grocery store, plus enough dining options to satisfy even the pickiest eaters in your party! You can also visit the farmer's market every Saturday morning, and grab a treat before enjoying the free Saturday afternoon hula show. The Westin Resort is even closer to Puamana, only 2 minutes walking, and offers access to a Starbucks, grab and go minimart, and upscale dining at the Nanea restaurant (head over for happy hour deals from 3-5!). For even more retail therapy and dining, the picturesque island town of Hanalei is a 10 minute drive away, as are the iconic beaches of Hanalei Bay. For a quieter experience away from the crowds we recommend checking out the Kilauea Point Lighthouse and beautiful nature preserve just a short drive away.
If you prefer to stick closer to home, the Puamana complex has everything you need for a great staycation! Spend the day lounging by the pool with a cocktail (plastic cups only, please!), enjoy an evening stroll along the golf course greenbelt, or soak up a sunset from your lanai. After your stay here, you'll leave feeling relaxed and refreshed!
Want to make your way around the rest of the island? Drive time to the East Side (where the airport is located) is roughly 55 minutes, and to the South Shore is 90 minutes.
As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.
This is a two-story home. You must be able to go up and down one flight of stairs to access the master suite.
Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.

"Heerlijk vakantiegevoel in een groen paradijs
De accomodatie ligt centraal gelegen. Mooie uitstapjes in de omgeving zoals Queensbath waar we schildpadden hebben zien zwemmen. Hannalei is een gezellige plaats om te winkelen en te eten. Ook Hannalei beach met de mooie pier. Supermarkt dichtbij. De accomodatie was groot en alle voor voorzieningen waren aanwezig. Met uitzicht op zee. Mooie zonsopgang gezien vroeg in de ochtend. Het bed is niet heel groot, met 2 personen rol je iets naar binnen op het matras. Heerlijk zwembad om af te koelen."

It was great having the space & nice patio to enjoy the view of Anini beaches wave action. The condo is dated and could use some freshening up. The queen bed mattress was terrible and felt like a mattress taco but thankf there was a single bed that saved my back. It was priced accordingly at U$225. "

"Overall, great stay
The customer service/manager was great. They got us another fan within 24 hours and were very pleasant. The place itself is outdate (which is fine) and not extremely clean, but fine enough! Overall we liked it very well. It was missing dish soap and the dish rack was really dirty, but otherwise things were fine. The other units had a table (ours had a few chairs but no table), that would really be nice to be able to eat outside. The bedding was clean and smelled nice. The kitchen had everything we needed."

"Amazing and spacious rental made for a great stay!
My wife and I stayed in this beautiful and spacious 2BR for our anniversary and were thrilled with our stay. The openness of the unit made it very comfortable and we could enjoy the garden views from the master loft bedroom, living room and the kitchen. We enjoyed coffee and drinks on the lanai whenever possible, taking advantage of the views down to Anini Beach and the shade provided by the large tree in the garden. We grilled some Mahi on the lanai’s grill (bought from the fish market behind The Dolphin in Hanalei - highly recommend).
The bed was comfortable and the ceiling fans (combined with a smaller plug-in fan provided) made the temperature comfortable the entire time. Because of the high ceilings, this unit feels very big. We didn’t need it, but there is a second bedroom and bathroom that would be great for a family.
We loved that this is a corner unit. And on the other side of the Westin driveway is a golf course. The property was very quiet the entire time which made our stay more relaxed and enjoyable.
We enjoyed taking the 6-8 minute walk down to Anini Beach through the lush green jungle-like trail. And once at the beach...it was almost totally private and only a handful of other guests ventured down. The sandbar reached for the length of a football field, and the water is calm and perfect for taking a morning dip (while the wife would scour the beach for shells and coral to add to the unit’s collection — remember: we shouldn’t take anything from the beach back to the mainland!). If you are traveling anywhere on Kauai, make sure to bring spray for the bugs, and some earplugs for the roosters. It’s their island, and we’re just visiting.
My wife and I can’t wait to come back to this unit soon!"

The management company should deal with the roosters which live in the parking lot. I live in Hawaii as well and every few months have to trap and relocate roosters so my tenants can sleep. This should especially be done in an area with high occupancy and no air conditioning which means we have to have windows open as they units are already especially hot upstairs in the loft where the bed is. I guess I missed the fine print that the unit is also right on the road to the Westin and there is some traffic noise. The main bed was not great. My tall partner kept bumping his feet on the high profile foot board and the mattress had us rolling toward the middle most of the time. "

"Great condo, great location!
This condo was perfect for our family of four. Very comfortable, clean, new carpet, spacious, everything we needed. We also had a nice view of the ocean. Walking distance to the Westin where we ate a great dinner one night at Nanea. Other amenities very close by. By far, our favorite thing about this condo was that it was directly next to a trail that took you on a short hike down to beautiful Anini Beach. The only "con" was that it was right next to the small road leading into the Westin, but all of the positives outweighed this and at night there was never any car traffic. I would highly recommend!"

"Beautiful View on the Northside of the Garden Isle
The unit was very easy to find and I was readily updated via text regarding our arrival, where to park, and how to access the unit. Parking pass is necessary for this location and it was missing from the property. The resident manager was supposed to drop off a replacement but that never happened. I believe we were lucky to not get towed because we did see a few cars getting towed during our stay. Overall, the unit is in a great location, close to Anini Beach with a great view of the ocean. The amenities are a bit dated but fully functional. It does look like the showers were updated more recently. We loved our stay and would definitely consider staying there again."

"Lovely place!
End unit with easy access to easily walkable Wylie Beach and Anini Beach. Unit is a little on the old side, with tile countertops that are hard to clean and slightly dated bathrooms, but the unit was nicely laid out with comfortable furniture, a full kitchen, and a great location."

"Very comfortable, great home base for exploring the island
It was a very comfortable apartment, everything in good working order, plenty of space, comfy beds, and a work desk with plenty of charging outlets next to the kitchen. It's really close to the beach, the path is right across the street, and you can see the ocean from the living room and lanai. We walked over to the Westin every morning to get a coffee at Starbucks, it's just a couple minutes walk. The only sort of drawback is it's a corner unit so it's right by the road. It's not a busy road, there's nothing else out there except the Westin, but you do hear it every time a car or a delivery truck goes by. It didn't bother us at all, but we noticed it. We slept very well, it was nice and cool with the ocean breeze blowing. Kauai Kahuna was great to work with, really helpful and responsive, and everything went smoothly."

"Good rental, price and hospitality
If I had to stay in Princeville again (as opposed to Haena or Hanalei) we would consider this conveniently located rental for a second stay as it has everything you need. Most importantly, booking was easy and the management team picked up our call when we had a question- that does not always happen. We enjoyed the trail right out the door to Wylies beach. This unit, though set back from the bluff, has a great view of the western outer reef of Anini. We really enjoyed hanging out on the patio with the chickens watching the surf and drinking our smoothies made in the kitchen. I feel like I should say to future renters and current owners that it would not take much to turn this rental into a highly recommended property by replacing some furnishings and layout. "

"Week in Princeville
We rented 21D for the week. Overall, it was fine. The condo was well equipped, and roomy. We really enjoyed the lanai area. Somewhat private, and a slight view of the ocean. My only cons to the property was the 5 a.m. wake up greeting from the local chickens ( they hangout on the end unit), and the heat at night in the upstairs bedroom. However, the large fan did help. The location of the condo was great. The beach access is just across the street, a 10 minute walk to a gorgeous beach. Also, a short walk to Princeville center. The Westin Hotel was also a wonderful easy option for dinner. A relaxing stay!"

We spend 5 long nights with NO air conditioning in this unit, realizing that some of the condos from that area have AC. When I booked they mentioned that was important to keep door and windows closed so I concluded that AC was provided BUT ..."

This place is immaculate. It is huge beautiful and has literally everything u need from.beach towels to appliances even super glue and a big beach bag! The bed is the most comfortable bed ever! It's right on Anini beach. Personally I find Princevill a bit posh but the condo was but awesome."

"LOUD PARADISE
First off: Be happy you are in Kauai! That is the positive. Negative is: You are next to resort with loud road noise; roosters at all hours of night deter sleep; mattresses are OLD and HARD and are not conducive to rest. The condo itself is functional. TV needs to be replaced due to screen burn in. No DVD player if rainy. Basic cable has nothing on. So if it RAINS and IT DOES you will have NOTHING to do in the condo. Also: DO NOT USE TRAIL TO BEACH ACROSS THE LOT. STEEP, DANGEROUS AND IF IT RAINS YOU ARE TOAST. Go instead to St. REGIS hotel and valet. Go to beaches and enjoy snorkeling. So again RENTER BEWARE. Enjoy Kauai despite this!!!"

"Relaxing Stay
We really enjoyed the stay. We appreciated the beach bag and beach towels to take to the ocean with us. Our teenager appreciated the separation between the bedrooms. A radio/sterio would have been appreciated. We ended up playing music from our phones for dinner music. Loved sitting on the patio at night as the location is peaceful."
