Located on the seaside cliffs of Kauai’s beautiful North Shore, Ali'i Kai 4303 is a comfortable, top-floor retreat with the most incredible ocean views in every room! It's truly a whale watcher's dream come true. Inside you'll find two attractive bedrooms, each with their own ocean view picture windows, a homey and inviting living area, and a fully-equipped, beautifully updated kitchen. For those of us that aren't lucky enough to leave work on the mainland, you'll even find a well-lit desk in the master suite that makes the perfect home office. You'll also enjoy the dramatic views of the Pacific from the private balcony lanai, which is the perfect spot for enjoying a peaceful sunrise or sunset over the water.
If you find yourself wanting for an activity other than soaking up the amazing views from the condo, Ali'i Kai 4303 is primed for you to take advantage of all the North Shore has to offer! Anini Beach is just 15 minutes away, and has crystal clear waters that are perfect for snorkeling! You might even catch a glimpse of a Honu (Hawaiian green sea turtle) while you're there. Hanalei Bay is also just 15 minutes away, and has beautiful golden sand beaches with calm waters perfect for all ages of swimmers. The charming island town of Hanalei is right nearby, and has a variety of boutiques and delicious restaurants and cafes for all your shopping and dining needs. Fresh fish dinner at the Dolphin followed by shave ice at Wishing Well will always be the perfect evening if you ask us! If you want a break from the crowds, we recommend heading to Kilauea, just 20 minutes down the road, to check out the iconic lighthouse and wildlife preserve, and to grab a coffee from any one of their cute cafes (Kai Bar and Trilogy are both excellent). If you prefer sticking a bit closer to home, the Princeville shopping center is just a mile away, and has plenty of options for shopping and grabbing tasty bites, as well as the Foodland grocery store for even more convenience! Stop by on a Saturday morning and you can hit the farmers market before heading over for the free hula show in the afternoon. The nationally ranked Makai golf course is also just a 10 minute walk away from your front door, and has some of the best golfing in the country.
If running around on vacation isn't quite your style, the Ali'i Kai complex amenities have everything you need for a chilled out staycation. You can relax with a drink by the pool, fire up the gas grill for an impromptu barbecue, or go for a stroll around the beautifully landscaped grounds. You'll find several Adirondack chairs scattered about for you to take a rest and enjoy the surroundings and mild tropical weather.
For those looking to explore the rest of the island, or with activities planned in Lihue or on the South Shore, be sure to budget your time accordingly. Drive time to the East Side (where the airport is) is roughly 55 minutes, and to the South Shore is 75 minutes.
As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned, though there are fans in each room and screen doors on the lanai to help with air flow.
This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down two flights of stairs from the parking lot to the front door (roughly 22 steps). There are no elevators.
Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.

"Could have been better!
View is great, but property was dated. Kitchen countertops had been replaced, but stove did not work well, and control indicators were rubbed off. Kitchen was not well stocked with pots and pans for cooking. Cheap not stick only.
Property manager was not responsive when cable box was not working. Never fixed. Maintenance guy just took the Roku box from bedroom, resulting in no TV in bedroom and Roku streaming only in living room. Furniture was dated and not comfortable including beds. Lanai furniture was cheap plastic and not comfortable. You could not see over the railing and just a small end table. Our stay was 14 days and expected us to purchase toilet paper when they only supplies 4 rolls."

"Beautiful views & accommodations
This condo provides the best of ocean and lush hillside views. It’s located close enough to amenities in Princeville and Hanalei when you choose to leave the serenity of its private paradise. The community pool with barbecue is a short walk from the condo. The inside of the condo is well furnished and clean."

"Beach Front with Awesiome Views
We have stayed on Kauai many times and in this set of condos(Ali Kai multiple times) but never this unit. Overall it was great - very clean & views were spectacular. The only issue we had was the furniture. There is no comfortable place to sit in the house except the beds(they were great). The lanai has cheap plastic chairs, making it difficult to be comfortable but also due to the low height hard to get a good view over the railing. We will be back to this area but not this particular condo."

"Beautiful Ocean Views
We were upgraded to this property after the one we reserved had a leaky roof. The views are amazing. We were disappointed that there wasn't any AC, but the ocean breeze did a pretty good job keeping us cool. Although, I did wake up hot once in a while. The king-sized mattress in the primary suite was a little too firm for my taste. I asked the property managers if they had a mattress topper, or something, because it was causing me back and neck pain, but I never heard back from them. I ended up sleeping on the couch or in the spare room with my daughter. There's a lovely but steep hiking trail behind the condo to a turtle cave that I recommend you check out if it's not too muddy and slippery."

"It was great to be back in Alii Kai 4303
We once again really enjoyed our stay in this Alii Kai condo. The views and sounds of the ocean are absolutely fabulous. We had a couple of issues during our stay for which we sought assistance from the Kauai Kahuna staff, and found them to be responsive and professional. Thanks! "

"Overall nice stay!
Unit was good but very hot with no air conditioning. Ceiling fans helped but needed more additional fans. We arrived late at night so would recommend someone stopping by the day of check in and opening all of the windows to at least allow some air into the unit. Also, units downstairs have screen doors so that you can leave the door open..we would suggest that the owner have a screen door installed - would have made a tremendous difference on the airflow...we didn’t leave the door open due to possibility of bugs/mosquitoes. Other than the heat we were very happy! Management company was great and very quick to respond when we called with small issue."

"Private Princeville Paradise
We had a wonderful stay with our two daughters. The location is phenomenal, with a great ocean view and sound of the ocean from all rooms. Short drive to see the sunset. Very private and quiet. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Best Part of this Condo is location & view
This property was good for location and views. The amenities were terrible. The furniture was outdated, the couch fabric is peeling, the master bed mattress frame had alot of stuffing that was coming out all over floor, the kitchen wall and one bedroom wall was filthy, ceiling fans were disgusting. The kitchen amenities were a joke. the coffee cups were disgusting looking as the ceramic glaze was off and cups looked black and dirty. measuring cup so old it had no measurement lines, dead roach in cabinet. Dryer vent not hooked up so hot air flows back into kitchen and front living area. There was 2 different types of beach chairs and they were so old and rusted out.
WORST RENTAL IN ALL OUR TRAVELS and we have traveled. We saved long and hard and chose to spend our money on this vacation and we were so disappointed. The management company did nothing for us. We took photos and contacted them and had to deal with problems while on our vacation. If this condo is privately owned and then used by property management to rent out they should drop the account. If the property management owns this, they should spend a few thousand to fix to accommodate their guests"

"October in Kauai
First of all the view is spectacular ! There is a hidden sea turtle cave directly below the deck you can carefully hike down to! The place is spacious, a little outdated, but honestly if your not staying inside all the time it’s not a big deal. Probably not a place for young children , the owners have some expensive old furniture. Overall, we absolutely love Kauai ( favorite of all the islands) and the view just can’t be beat at this condo!"

Our stay in Alii Kai 4303 was outstanding. Comfortable, well-appointed, and the views can't be beat! Recommended for couples or families. The Alii Kai I pool area was great for us and our school age grandson guests. Love this pkace!"

"A place with an amazing ocean view
We had a great experience staying at Alii Kai. The view from the balcony and the two bedrooms was spectacular.. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and appliances. Kauai Kahuna Vacation Rentals sent all the required information on time. This is a great place to stay in north Kauai. Would definitely want to come back. "
