The couch, chairs and benches are all very small and uncomfortable. The outdoor seating is uncomfortable as well. There is no water pressure so the nice tub takes too long to fill and the master shower drips constantly. When we arrived and realized the cabin was not going to be very relaxing we asked for moving to another cabin and were told none were available but there were units you could book available. We ended up staying one night out of the four we paid for and left the next day. Very expensive $2400 for a very uncomfortable cabin. Would not recommend since Elk Springs had no interest in trying to help us move to another open cabin so we could enjoy our vacation." The pool is nice, but didn't seem to be working as intended (the filter became super loud and the waterfall wasn't working properly-it would come on and then stop frequently). I felt like the description provided was accurate in regard to amenities. It was very clean and well-maintained. This cabin is very impressive in many regards. Very nice kitchen. I’m not a coffee snob, but the coffee provided was not good (Walmart brand). The theatre was very complex...I believe there was 4 different remote controls. I love that kind of stuff and after watching the video (yes, a video) I thought it would be a piece of cake; but I never was able to even get local channels. There are so MANY ways to make this less complex. the bedroom tv had 3 or 4 different remotes as well but was able to get local channels on that TV. We used the pool and sauna...very refreshing and relaxing. The alarms are unique, but I understand the city of Gatlinburg requires. The furniture was not comfortable although very attractive. The private outdoor fireplace was very nice. The only major drawback was the “pool”. The pool is hidden in the basement of the cabin like a lake in a cave. While this is a great private retreat it’s hard to enjoy the chilly waters when there is no sunshine to warm you up and the air temperature is “locked” at a temperature that is appropriate for dry activities and no way to adjust the water temperature. I recognize there are challenges with evaporation/condensation etc however I rented the cabin to be able to use the pool not look at it. This was very disappointing. I’ll have to chose a cabin next year with either an outdoor pool so the sun can warm us or a hot tub that is warm enough to get into. We made the best of it and had a great time anyway. While driving to the location we were notified our check-in would be delayed two hours. Upon arrival it was unclear why extra time was needed as there was still work/cleaning to be done. The lower-level toilet was loose, sinks upstairs drained to slow to even wash your hands without filling up with water. Floors needed sweeping and mopping, food particles were under the island. The mop and broom were stored against the ironing board...exactly where I would want to iron a shirt. The widows in the pool area had not been cleaned in a long while. The website showed a TV on the middle level outside seating area...there was not one there. There were several large spiderwebs on the deck making it not a pleasant place you would want to sit. The AC unit upstairs is not adequate to cool the type of room it is in, making the upstairs to hot to enjoy. The gas grill looked like it was picked up from the side of the road. The pool was cloudy, website indicates you could be charged a fee if there was something wrong with the pool when checking out. Called to report the pool and AC, received a text stating the AC was working as needed and the pool would clear up overnight...it did not. After the first night I called to check out early and explained why...was told it would be brought to the management attention. Made me think some one would call to discuss...I’m still waiting... That wasn’t there either. The furniture was all terribly uncomfortable. The master bed was great. I decided at the time that I would give it a night and see if it was an inconvenience. I sent Elk Springs a message the following day describing my issues with the furniture and was told ...... sorry. That uncomfortable furniture wasn’t really a movable offense. The basement theater was really cool and we watched movies however the chairs are not extremely comfortable to watch a movie. There should be Ottomans or something to place your feet on. We ended up carrying a chair down from upstairs to put our feet on. No matter how much you crank the heat it’s cold in the basement so having a rack that possibly has some blankets for the movie would be nice. There’s not a single table to place a drink or popcorn but there’s tons of room. The master bathroom has not one place to lay your clothes or your towel. You should add some hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang towels or your change of clothes so that you don’t have to place them on the toilet eek. And the description of the room online the coffee pot should be labeled as a Keurig everyone knows the difference now. Even though the temperatures on the pool read correctly it was still very cold. You should try adding a small hot tub on the outdoor deck or on the upstairs patio. No one every showed up and no text advising that, our trash cans never arrived for the container. Trash we took out sat there all week.
