The cabin is absolutely beautiful and has everything you will need for an enjoyable trip. The only things I would say to keep in mind are 1) while the kitchen is very nice, there is really no storage for groceries which can be an issue when you are staying for a week and 2) if you like a very firm mattress, these beds are meant for you. Unfortunately, we are not firm mattress sleepers so it felt like we were sleeping on a hard floor for the week. We stayed here this past weekend for a long weekend. This is a beautiful cabin and conveniently located. The cabin is easy to get to and parking is very easy as well. The staff is great at checking in to make sure things are going well. The theater room is great for movie watching. Hot tub is very nice. It was on eco mode when we checked it so had to figure out how to get it out of that mode so that it would come up to temperature. Quick google search solved that issue and it came to temp pretty quickly. It rained on Saturday but the hot tub is covered so it was nice to light the fire table and sit in the hot tub with some music and listen to the rain. The pool is a decent size for being indoors. Wasn’t a fan of the waterfall as it made it very loud and echoey in the room. I have two critiques about the cabin and the first is that the photos make it seem like you can open the large garage door that separates the pool from outside and you cannot. There’s a sign explaining it’s per order of the fire marshall so we were disappointed in that. The water is warm though as is the room so it was comfortable to use without worry of getting cold. Because we were there the first weekend in May, all of the fireplaces are off. This was also disappointing as that information is not in the listing and we were looking forward to using the one in the master bath. The photos showed a racing game but there is now Golden Tee. That was a good surprise and we definitely got good use of that. It was also nice having a small kitchen downstairs. It made grilling really easy and we were able to use the table down there to eat rather than repeatedly going up and down the stairs. There’s lots of deck space to use. The master bath is absolutely stunning. The bed in that room is hard and we ended up sleeping in the bedroom on the main floor. The kitchen has plenty of supplies. (It was disgusting) it’s a ceramic top and all that needed to be done was to be scraped and polished it literally takes 10 minutes. Underneath the microwave there was grease caked on it and when you opened the door it was missing the filters. The copper tub which was a big rental point did not hold water the drain would not stop water from going down so that was unusable. We dropped something on the floor and when you look under any of the furniture especially the bed it was loaded with dirt and dust. It really needed little more attention to detail especially at that price point, anyone could have walked through did a 10 min inspection and had everything addressed very quickly and easily. The fireplace in the living room didn't work which acted as a draft for cold air on the floor. We couldn't sit in the living room unless our feet was up on the couches. The temperature in the cabin was 64 degrees the first night and was always cold even in the upstairs. We were using the fireplaces to warm up the two bedrooms at night but always woke up cold. The dishwasher beeped on and off the entire stay. We couldn't get it to stop. The pool was nice but small. If you created a small wave in the water from swimming, the water went out on the floor and if you didn't take care of it right away it would creep under the wall into the game room creating an even bigger problem and mess to clean up. The water pressure tank was cycling/running during our stay which thankfully it didn't go out while we were there but the noise was more of annoyance. The cleaning company didn't clean well. Our bedding was dirty which looked like it was dropped or set on the floor and then placed on our bed. The floors were dirty, tables, rugs, basically all surfaces were dirty. We had leaves and toilet paper pieces in one bathroom, dead bugs in the copper tub and on the floor, tooth paste left in the sink, food left on the outdoor furniture and on the benches in the kitchen and the game room garbage bags were never replaced. The steps looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The living room furniture could be updated as the couch sank down when you sat on it making it not very comfortable. Overall this Luxury Cabin has potential but needs a lot of updates and a deep clean. I requested new bedding, pillow cases & blankets the first night but ended up brining ours in from the car. Maintenance did come to check out the temperature and fireplace around 11:45pm and they brought blankets & pillow cases at that time. I know it’s a wooded area but that made the stay uncomfortable. There was also balls of hair in the master suite shower. I’m not sure if the showers are cleaned at all or what the cleaning process is. It seems as though the more expensive of a cabin I get and the more popular it is, the less likely it is to be cleaned thoroughly. Almost like there isn’t enough time between guests to clean entirely. I gave a similar review for “This Magic Moment” last year which isn’t with this rental company anymore. This cabin fit that bill! The pool, theatre room, video games and foosball kept all of us entertained. I've never stayed in a place so beautiful. I felt like a Queen! And the bathrooms...oh the bathrooms! I really must need to get out more because those walk in showers with water coming from every direction...HEAVEN. Honestly the only complaint I have was check in. Communication was really lacking with the management company. Check in was delayed and I was never notified. In the rental agreement it stated that if check in was going to be delayed after 3pm I would receive a text. I never did. I finally called at 3:45 after having received no check in information and talked to a very rude person. They had very poor customer service skills, seemed highly annoyed I was even calling and had me on hold for well over 15 min. Finally I was told there was a pool maintenance issue which was causing the hold up but that I could go ahead and go in, just not use the pool. So we did. An hour later I received another text that the pool was actually fine and we were free to use it...? Very strange. I personally feel that someone just dropped the ball and forgot to send us the check in information. But rather than admit a mistake, they made up some maintenance issue. The small Kabota that was sent to clear the roads was completely inadequate along with a truck that shot out salt from a small spout. The roads were impassable with three vehicles abandoned in the middle of the road and 7 trees fallen down blocking the road as well. The response from the staff who never called us back and reachable by text only said "Well you can check out!" Really?? Our cabin was 37 degrees inside! Poor response for a family of 8 that flew in from Texas, Atlanta and Florida! Try and find a place on Christmas day in Gatlinburg! The proper response from management would have been "How can we help you?" NOT, "Well, you can check out!" We would have done that the day before had the road been passable! With all the power on on the mountain, the management company should have made an attempt to make the roads passable from all the people vacationing there. At least they all had heat! After waiting nearly 30 mins for the tub to fill up as much as i felt like waiting, the stopper has a leak and my water was down the drain in 5 mins. 4. New pots and pans are needed ASAP. One of the pans and one of the pots have loose handles and made it difficult to cook without fear I would drop one of them when moving it. 5. I have never slept on cheaper, thinner, sheets in my life. I would not consider this a LUXURY cabin at all. It was more mediocre than anything. The cabin and all the porches with rocking chairs and gliders were perfect for relaxing, and everyone enjoyed movies in the comfy theater room and swimming in the pool. The view from Big Sky Lodge kept bringing us out to the decks and we spent less time in front of the screens than we thought! The theater was wonderful and soooooo comfortable! The hot tub on the deck was absolutely amazing as the temperatures dropped. The master bedroom and bathroom were so far beyond our expectations it’s hard to describe just how magical it really was. The whole cabin is literally stunning. Interestingly; many of the cabins are very close to each other but you can’t hear a peep from anyone. You still feel like you’re all alone on the mountain top and it’s everything you’d hope for in a luxury cabin without being completely “unplugged” from the world. You could easily unplug here though! We didn’t want to leave at the end of our trip (and not just because it was our honeymoon!). We’re already saving and planning for a return trip to Elk Springs and Gatlinburg. We may be New Yorkers but we left our heart in Tennessee! Seriously; splurge a little and stay here instead. The experience is worth the extra money over a hotel. When I called maintenance they informed me that this sometimes happensBecause it’s a log cabin. What?!? After requesting maintenance come anyway we were given some dry sheets for the downstairs bed that we changed and promised that a plumber would come the next day. The plumber never came so we were unable to use the tub which was very disappointing. We paid a huge amount of money for two nights in this cabin and I will confess I left feeling like I had made a mistake in the rental.
