The Villas of Kamali'i is an upscale gated community in Princeville with a heated salt water pool, hot tub, and poolside grill. It is adjacent to the Robert Trent Jones designed Makai Golf Course and a 4-minute walk to the Makai Clubhouse, tennis, and the Makai Grill. Just a brief 10-minute drive away you'll find the glorious Hanalei Bay beaches, and numerous shopping and dining options in the town of Hanalei. Our Kauai vacation rental Villas of Kamalii 40 is fully air conditioned with two master suites, and a third guest bedroom. (Please note that the guest bedroom does not have it's own vent for the AC ) The upper level, with its vaulted ceilings, includes the well-equipped kitchen, dining area with seating for six, and comfortably furnished living room. Rainy days won't be a problem as there's plenty of entertainment. The living room includes a 65-inch Smart TV with a Bluetooth WiFi Speaker - connect and play your music! And you can sit out on the spacious lanai to dine al fresco and enjoy spectacular mountain and waterfall views. One master suite is located on the main level, furnished with a king size bed, and another smart TV. The spacious en-suite bathroom has dual sinks and a large walk-in shower. You'll be able to enjoy a private mountain view lanai, perfect for relaxing with your morning coffee or a nightcap in the evening as you're cooled by the tradewinds. The guest bedroom is also on the main floor, with a queen size bed, its own smart TV, and a desk area ideal for those working vacations. Just across the hallway is a full guest bathroom with shower. Downstairs you'll find the grand master suite. It's got a Cal king bed, its own smart TV, and another private lanai with mountain and waterfall views. The large, modern en-suite bathroom has a jetted tub, walk-in shower, and dual sinks. The laundry room is also downstairs, and is equipped with a full-sized washer, dryer and sink. Garage parking is available, no need to park outside in the hot sun! Super fast WiFi will keep you well connected! Golfers take note - golf clubs are provided for you! There are also BBQ tools for those poolside cookouts. And in the garage you'll find snorkel gear, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach bags, a cooler, and even a surfboard and boogie board for your use! Fully air-conditioned. Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party. The unit was alongside the main road & it was noisy. The unit had beach gear but no beach towels & toiletries were not included even though the description of the unit said they were. The layout of the unit itself was great with 2 master suites & plenty of space for our group. The property management included concierge services which was great. It has 3 bedrooms, on 3 different floors so not ideal for anyone who struggles with stairs. The location is beautiful and lush but had us in the car a lot getting around the island. There were several small maintenance items that I reported to the property manager when we arrived. One of them was that the garage door opener wasn't working. The property manager told us to purchase a battery and send him the receipt for reimbursement. I sent him the receipt and he never responded to me or processed a credit back to my card like he offered to. It was not a lot of money, but the lack of professionalism was disappointing. This town home in Princeville was in a great location, with easy access to walking trails to the shopping center. We would have rated this property 5 stars all around if it weren't for the noisy traffic driving by during the day which prevented us from leaving the doors and windows open. Our biggest disappointment was the condition of the beach gear. All the beach chairs were rusted with torn straps and there was no waterproof insulated bags for carrying cold drinks to the beach. This rental is not a cheap rental so our expectation is that beach gear be refreshed each season and in reasonably good condition. The property did NOT have what was advertised to include cooler, boogie board, and surf board. The cooler was not present, boogie board was broken in half, surf board broken by previous renter and towels with a sign that says to not use. We purchased all of the above and left for future renters so equipped now." The furnishings were tasteful and beautiful and matched the interior and exterior of the condo perfectly. The kitchen was very well equipped and everything worked perfectly. The full-size washer and dryer were great. The separate air conditioners for the two master suites and the living/kitchen area worked perfectly and were quiet yet efficient. All of the ceiling fans worked perfectly and did not vibrate or make noise. The bamboo floors throughout the living, kitchen and bedroom areas were well matched to everything else in this unit. The beds had very comfortable mattresses and lovely linens, and comfortable pillows. We would rent this unit again without a care. The unit was spotless when we arrived and had plenty of extra toilet paper and tissues. The owners even supplied a few laundry pods to use with the washer which was greatly appreciated.
