That cabin was awesome. The pool is small but fun for the kids. Overall everything was great. I do believe checkout should be extended to 11 or 12. We chose to clean this ourselves to make us uncomfortable. When we went to use the indoor pool we realized that the exhaust fan was not working which made the pool room toxic from the chemical smell so we could not swim. We contacted management and they were professional and quick to respond but unable to fix the fan. Therefore we never used the pool for the entire stay. Our biggest disappointment is that upper management still has not compensated us fairly for us not having use of the private pool for our entire stay. The fair thing to do would be to charge us the rate of a cabin with no pool however they have not offered that and do not appear to be in a hurry to do so, we are not asking for a full refund we are only asking to pay per night what any other cabin on that property that was like ours (minus the private pool) would pay. It is 3 levels, you come in on the main level that has the dining room, living room, small kitchen, 1 full shared bathroom, 1 king bedroom, a balcony, and the laundry. Upstairs is a king bedroom & full bathroom open loft. Downstairs has a futon, full bathroom, pool table, arcade, and indoor pool with a hot tub on the balcony. The cabin is not sound proof within the cabin. When you flush the toilet upstairs(loft) the people in the bedroom on the main floor can hear the water rushing down the pipes in the wall. It sounds like a water fall so to say. The cabin was clean for the most part, besides dust along the base boards. I was VERY pleased with the location. Alpine Pool Lodge was a fantastic alternative to staying in a hotel. We are a family of four (children 17 and 13.) I shopped high and low in different parts of the country and would have paid 4x as much for a 400 square foot hotel room with one bathroom. I am delighted to have found this gem! There are three bathrooms, so kids each had their own space, with a TV and bathroom. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, dishes, glasses, and cookware. The indoor pool, hot tub, arcade game, and billiards table left us little reason to leave the cabin. I felt secure nestled in a community of houses yet had our privacy. Great proximity to The Smoky Mountain National Park, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Dollywood. Endless options to make family vacation memories. The unexpected customer service was a bonus. They would text us or call us to check in on us. They were quick to answer my text questions and eager to help. I never expected this kind of care. Alpine Pool Lodge is a large, spacious, beautifully decorated, and maintained home away from home. I couldn't give it four stars on cleanliness because the vents (especially the one in the kitchen) are in much need of attention. As this is brought to their attention, I am hopeful they will grab a Swiffer or shop vac to rectify the issue. Then, perfect! Have to give a plug to an amazing find-Ristorante DellaSantina in Sevierville. Authentic Italian food worth the price, lovely interior. The location is deceiving, do not judge this book by its cover. As I walked down stairs to check everything out, you can tell several people have stayed there due to the wear and tear on the steps. I uncovered the hot tub only to find several bugs floating around. Knowing I couldnt use any of the water sources, I called for maintenance. They got there about 10pm and shocked the hot tub and the pool. 2 hours min for the hot tub and 4 min for the pool. It was already late, so unusable for the night. I retire to the upstairs loft only to see dirt or bugs on the towels to shower. I quickly washed them prior to use. The bed was extra lumpy and sheets were questionable. On our first night of arrival we noticed the pool room itself was a little chilly and the mini split never came on. We then went to the hot tub to warm up only to find it at a cold 86 degrees and would not heat up. Maintenance arrived quickly to look at the issues. The mini split was not getting power and could not be fixed, the hot tub was placed in economy mode for cleaning and never switched back over so he was able to correct this. Another technician came out the next day but said the mini split would have to be replaced so no heated pool room. The downstairs game rooms stayed frigid the entire stay due to no weather stripping on the bottom of the door allowing a cold breeze to constantly come through. The oven cooks entirely too hot! We burnt everything until we figured out how to cook in it. Our first cake at 375 was a black crisp in 25 minutes. A third cake was perfect when baked at 285 for 15 minutes!! There are not any baking pans or casserole dishes in the kitchen. Just a few baking sheets. The house also needs a really good dusting!" There’s no bedroom door and the shower door is huge and has no curtain. So if anyone walks upstairs you are in a bind. The pool is nice. Big enough for 2 or 3 kids to play. All the tourists attractions are only 10 minutes away. This was so true. Check-in, check out and payments were a piece of cake. They really have make vacationing so easy and worry free. While we stayed there, they were building two more behind us. Construction noise dominated our stay! I had no warning of this. Apparently the system is to cram in as many cabins as possible. Also, the bedding was disgusting and the mattress felt 25 years old. You only get one roll of toilet paper and a total of six towels for the cabin! Definitely not a luxury experience. The pool room is full of bugs and is almost 90 degrees and you can’t adjust the temp. It smells like mold in there. I would not return here if it was free." The room was very dirty and the pool was full of bugs as well as the floor and the walls had a bunch of caterpillars everywhere. We had in-cabin massages.. we did have a small delay with check in due to maintenence issue but was quickly resolved and communication was wonderful.. we couldn't get the fireplace upstairs to work and notified staff.. they offered to come out immediately. . A little more expensive than other rental companies but worth every penny. . You get what you pay for! Wish it had more privacy .. my only complaint.. We come to Gatlinburg often and this by far was the best location for our family. If you like to stay high up in the mountain than this will not work for you. This cabin has somewhat of a view. However, you can be in downtown pigeon forge in five minutes. Upon walking into the cabin we were blown away by how spacious it is. And how extremely clean it was. The pictures do not do it justice. Everything is very modern and up to date. The beds were all very comfortable and very big. Our family of six fit easily in this cabin and truly we could have fit four more. There is a large futon downstairs and the couch upstairs does pull out. And is a very nice sofa bed. The pool is very well kept and perfect for a little swim. They have a code on the pool door in the cabin as well for safety which I was extremely grateful for. Hot tub was outside right by the pool. Our kids never wanted to leave the cabin. The only downfall Is there are no window coverings at all. Including no blinds. As soon as the sun comes up it is scorching you in your bed. Which means our entire family was up at six in the morning every day. This was hard with young children. Every night we were trying to find things to put over the windows but nothing helped. Also, you will need to bring everything you need. They give you a few rolls of toilet paper and one trash bag. But, there are no small things like most of the cabins typically have. Such as coffee filters, salt and pepper, etc. Not. A big deal. But, I wasn’t prepared and had to go back out to the store for a lot of little things I didn’t think of. I usually bring too much so this was a first. But, if you book this cabin, you will be so happy you did. It is amazing!!"
