The internet connection was very poor. Cannot have more than one person streaming or the connection is dropped. Lastly there is no soap holders in the bathroom of most rooms showers, no slip protection in the bathrooms having tile floors and the oven was not cleaned (reported). Understand bears may have broken into trash of past renters but environmentally dirty along exterior between homes. Good bit of loose trash." The refrigerator had door shelves missing which made it difficult to get all the perishable foods for 11 into it. Elk Springs did a great job notifying us. They were always helpful if we had questions. The property itself is pretty much how the pictures show, but the carpet downstairs is much older and matted than the pictures depict. The other thing for guests to know, is the cabin is not at all secluded. There are many cabins that are all very close to one another. When in the hot tub at night, you can hear your neighbor's conversation from their hot tub. But even with that said, our extended family enjoyed the spaciousness of this sizable cabin with large bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. Parking was ample for 3 vehicles and the view was beautiful. The housekeeping could have been better. When we arrived, there were crumbs on the kitchen floor, something sticky on the kitchen table, spider webs on the stair corners and urine on a toilet seat. The pool also needed a cleaning, but the temperature of the pool was pleasantly warm and it was so nice to have the pool to ourselves. Our only other recommendation would be to refresh the bedding and consider adding Disney+ to the theater room. I would definitely recommend the cabin but make sure you have a huge data plan from your cellular provider incase the internet is out again and bring somthing like apple tv, roku or a firestick. I had to call to receive the code to get in, I never received it in a text. The directions to the cabin left off a road we were supposed to turn on to. The view from the patios were beautiful. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to have a late check out, which helped since we had a late check in due to maintenance. The bed sheets had stains on them which had to be rehashed when we arrived, the dishes provided sti had food stains on them, the cabin was very dusty, and also around the pool area it was trash left from previous renters that was not cleaned properly by housekeeping staff. When maintenance was called to address the issue in the theater room the were prompt and that was resolved when. During our stay when attempting to address the issue concerning the cleanliness and the overall satisfaction of the cabin the ball was most definitely dropped. The Summit Pool Lodge cabin was simply awesome! We had a family group of only 7 and we all got our own spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The only annoying thing I can find is the pool door alarm system. I completely understand why it's there, but every time you enter or exit the pool door the alarm sounds and it was a pain everyday with kids going in and out constantly. We had a couples trip with 5 couples. Each of us had a king size bedroom with bath. The open floor plan on the main floor was ideal. The only negative of the cabin was the theater room and the pool. The theater room had a few broken seats and were a little outdated. The pool, while giving the appearance of bring clean, was very slippery on the inside. My pool at home only is slippery like that when there is an algae build up. Additionally, and this has nothing to do with the cabin, be sure you and your guest understand that you are in the mountains. The drive up to the cabin from the city can be an arduous one. My group (with seven kids) arrived at 4:00 when the allowed checkin time was 3:00.. We were informed at 1:49 that check-in would be delayed (too late for us since we were already on our way to the cabin).. Quite honestly, if it wasn't for Covid-19, we wouldn't have cared about the late check-in since there is much to do in Pigeon Forge.. However, with Covid, we took a very conservative stance to just play in the cabin, and not venture the city... The cleaning crew couldn't get the linens (beds/towels ready until 9:30 pm).. The company tried to assist us with a later check out time though.. but, it's the day that we were leaving (so, the late check out really doesn't allow us to enjoy the vacation). Overall, the cabin was nice, but minor issues.. Movie theater didn't work.. no chalk for the pool table.. the hot tub was not usable for our first day since it takes a lot of time to heat up, and we checked in late... thus, our 2 day rental really felt like a one day rental).. Check in and check out was very quick and simple. The pictures that you see online of each cabin is what you can expect. Everyone enjoyed the movie theater but the indoor pool was a big hit. Please do not use google maps to get to this cabin. Follow the directions provided by Elk’s Springs to save time and gas. Our anniversary trip turned out to be better than I could ever hope for. The issue that we had mid-week with the AC was handled promptly with no disruption to our stay. The biggest downside/complaint that we have is the cabin is currently located in resort that has a lot of new construction. Roads in the plan are narrow, and then to have them down to one lane because of construction vehicles and supplies for the new cabins. This made access into and out of the plan difficult. The construction noise also detracted from the idyllic and peaceful setting of that part of TN. Thankfully most days were spent in the park away from this noise. It would have been nice to have been forewarned of all of the construction. You also need to rework the written driving directions to this cabin as some street names appear to have changed, and the directions are wrong now. The furnishings were nice, but the beds were too high which is why it did not get a 5 star. Also, please consider adding some larger bowls (mixing and serving) especially since the cabin says it can sleep up to 18 people. One last request that some sort of gutter needs to be placed under the angled roof that is over the steps up to the front entrance. Every time that it rained the water would pour off the roof onto you as you walked up the steps.
