Cabins offering amenities such as an indoor theater, pool table, hot tub, and outdoor fire pit we’re always welcoming to return to after a full day of activities in the national park or nearby pigeon, Forge or Gatlinburg. Since Covid, we’ve noticed a steep increase in visitors making many of our previous destinations impossible to get into. This cabin had all of the previous amenities... plus an indoor pool and an outdoor putt putt course, neighborhood, basketball, goal, and neighborhood, nature trail making it the perfect spot for a staycation for two 12 year old boys! The resort was responsive and quick to attend to anything needed in the cabin. Only disappointment was to discover that the advertised air hockey table had been replaced with Skee-Ball table that wouldn’t return the two balls available (they would fall to the floor and generally get stuck under the table by the window). Otherwise, beautiful cabin for a small family, looking for enough entertainment that they don’t have to seek it elsewhere!" There was plenty of parking space and we felt we had adequate privacy. The cabin was beautiful and spacious. My kids age 11 and 18 thoroughly enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and games. Sadly, there were a few dislikes about the cabin that we experienced while there. 1.The upstairs bed was horrific, the top of the bed near the headboard sank in so much that we rotated ourselves sideways to try and get comfortable. The ending result is that one of us ended up sleeping on the couch. 2.We noticed that the downstairs shower was not very clean, we found soap scum on the walls of the shower. 3.The pool area had many (more than we could count) bugs around the pool and seats/tables. 4.We brought a device to connect to the projector and never found a way to plug in to use fully...even after reading over instructions and watching the video. 5. We did some decorating with balloons and such for my kids and there were some confetti that got all over the place. We ended up sweeping up to help housekeeping out and found that the floors were very disgusting. Dirt, food, and bugs were found all around on the main level. We looked at a lot of resort cabins early on and chose yours based on our daughter & son-in-law staying at your resort in the past. We selected the Poolin Around cabin for it's amenities specifically the hot tub -pool - golf. We paid a premium for these amenities for the experience with our family and grandkids. As you know the pool was not able to be used 50% of our stay due to pool issues and the temperature. Also, here are some additional issues you may want to have addressed we also encountered during stay. Extreme MOLD in the pool room ceiling - maintenance man took pictures appears to have been there for some time. Hot tub worked but never held initial temperature once you got in. The hot tub cover was extremely difficult to open and close may need to be replaced Therefore, we only used one time. First floor toilet was not able to be used wouldn't flush maintenance came to repair. The bath tub in that bath had rust stains therefore we would not use to give kids bath.. No sheets or blanket for the fold out couch sleeper sofa. housekeeping dropped off. That mattress is worn out. Remote to TV in first floor bedroom needs back cover batteries exposed dangerous for kids. The window in that room is broke Suggest you have soap dish in bathrooms to protect your counter tops. Several kitchen cooking pots need to be replaced due to non-stick worn off. As far as cleaning, there was McDonalds trash on the back porch when we arrived we picked up and threw away. The steps appear to not have been swept. Access to the back yard from the outside is extremely hazardous and we noticed paths created in the rocks. While it was an inconvenience for both you and us, we still paid for an experience we never got from your resort. The property is beautiful. The pictures are gorgeous. The housekeeping is sub par at best. The towels were worse than cheap hotel towels (like sandpaper on your skin). Although it accommodates more than five guests, we had five forks and one steak knife. We found dirty laundry (not ours) in the master suite, am I flushed toilet with a “surprise” in it, and trash outside that my husband picked up upon arrival. The upstairs loft does not heat or cool well but they do provide a box fan for the window (that has no screen in it from the third floor). All theatre room equipment was unhooked upon arrival and not working. The garage door on the pool was broken- we got notified upon checkin or we would have stayed somewhere else. This was a HUGE reason we stayed there, so we could enjoy indoor and outdoor with kids while swimming. The elk head hanging looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned ever—dust literally hanging on it. Overall the cabin is nice but cheap supplies (cookware, dishes, no pullout sofa sheets provided, guest book has missing pages/torn/sticky), needs a deep cleaning, and maybe toilet flush. Even the welcome mat was torn and ripped, great first impression. I would not waste my money here for luxury when there are so many other places to stay much better and cheaper. The place is just a parade of cut corners and lack of care. Perhaps the worst part is that I brought these issues to managment and the reply amounted to: "too bad for you." My family rented this CABIN for the hopes of an incredible fall break experience. When we arrived at the cabin we were alarmed and not warmly welcomed by anything except a bunch or warning signs for charges of EVERYTHING in the place. The dishwasher was broken, the pool alarm had exposed wires and would randomly send a shrilling sound through the entire cabin. The shower leaked down to the bedroom below - and we had to get a trash can as it was like a fountain coming down from the ceiling. The leaky shower explained why the bedroom below smelled like mold. There was NO cabinet space to put anything and not enough dishes for the number of people staying in the place. To top it all off, the floors were so GROSS my son was sweeping when the FIRE EXTINGUISHER in the hallway fell on his foot and BROKE it! Toilet paper roll holder in main bathroom broken, not fixed. Not a luxury or even good experience, please do not stay at this cabin or with elk springs at all. The only real negatives was when we arrived the pic show a fire pit with a huge pile of wood behind it, only to find out when we got there that this property doesn’t supply wood ☹️. So no fire that night and then we had to go around the next day getting firewood����. Did I mention this was our 2th anniversary lol? The pool had a caustic chemical smell and it was green I called and they said it had just been cleaned but it never cleared up and the smell never went away. The grill was completely empty of gas and the grill was completely rusted out , couldn’t have used it even if we did have gas!! But I will say that the resort people I talked to were so very nice it really made up for the slight disappointment when we got there! The next day we got a new grill and we were able to grill our steaks! Beyond that it was really nice, the weather was perfect the community was really cool little laid back place, the overall was beautiful! The putt was very fun! My suggestions are so minor: I brought my keurig because I just don't like taking the time on vacation to brew a pot of coffee. Maybe a few more hooks in bathroom, chairs for bottom deck, and we didn't have sheets for the couch, but improvised. Mattress on sofa very springy and not very comfortable for an adult. Pool was freezing! We tried to warm it up, but never quite figured it out. It would be nice to have a bit clearer instructions on getting it warm, but none of these would at all keep us from coming back! Management company was GREAT to work with.
