Location and cabin is good, however not satisfied the cleanliness, lot of lady bugs and a baby scorpion found in living room, complaint raised regarding same, no change on second day too, we found whole bunch of bugs. There was another cabin being constructed within 30 feet of our cabin and this restricted the views from our porches that were shown in the photos of the cabin. There was debris scattered over the property supposedly from a bear encounter. The cabin itself was extremely nice but was showing the years of use. The door onto the deck did not close correctly and the curtains on the doors were askew as the lower brackets were broken. The stairs to the lower level had a tripping hazard from someone renewing the steps with a vinyl type step and an 90 degree bracket on the front edge that is a real problem. The sink in the lower bathroom has a faucet that does not work, with the hot water handle turning 360 degrees and unable turn turn off until exactly correct.The cleaning crew did a fantastic job of readying the cabin and overall we were extremely excited and happy with the location and amenities afforded in the cabin. If we decide to stay again we would look at other facilities. The only suggestion I have would be is remove the one lonely tree that obstructs the view towards Pigeon Forge and the mountains. It was very nice for the kids. The cabin was clean and had sufficient paper products for our weekend. The hot tub was nice but was only accessible through a bedroom on the bottom floor. The icemaker is slow so we had to buy some ice to make our ice cream. There is plenty of seating in the living room and on the top floor where the game room is. All the kids enjoyed playing on the big screen in the theater room where there are two futons. Also hair dryers have been installed in all bathrooms. It was a great, cozy, roomy house for a large family vacation. Tons to do in the house from games to pool to hot tubbing to watching movies. Only thing we all felt was that overall the house was a little dingy upon arrival. We felt as though it was pretty dusty, the floors were dirty and there were large cobwebs across the rocking chairs. Everything worked great. The only issue I had was the exterior staircase to the hot tub was not usable due to disrepair. To get to the hot tub meant going through one of the downstairs bedrooms. This was not conducive to late night hot tubbing. They also need to replace the power cord for the air hockey table. It would work only when it was in the perfect position." This was a very nice cabin and my family would definitely stay in it again. There were a few things that could use some improvements. The air hockey table didn't work properly and the pool table was uneven. The stairs outside the cabin have rotted out and you couldn't use them to go down to the hot tub. The only way to get to it was through someone's bedroom. The double rocking chair was missing a piece of wood which hurt when you would sit on it. And lastly which isn't their fault is they are building a cabin next door to this one and the sound of construction was very disappointing cause it took away from the serenity outside. With all that being said it really is a nice cabin and having a bathroom in every bedroom was a nice bonus. The dining room table was super nice it accommodated everyone in our family so we could all eat together. The theater room was really nice and we enjoyed getting to relax and watch a movie. The view outside is beautiful and every night you can see the firework display from dollywood which was an added bonus. Cons - The steps to the hot tub were rotted and blocked off from use and have been for obviously some time because they put up a permanent railing to block them that matched the rest of deck railing. If anyone wanted to use it, they had to go through one of the downstairs bedrooms, which was very inconvenient since we had family in every bedroom. If anyone wanted to use it late at night or early morning they couldn’t without disturbing someone else’s sleep. Also, there was construction on the lot right next to it which ruined my wedding day. We had to alter the location on the deck to the inside, because of the noise and dust from the heavy equipment, which ruined the view we wanted for pictures. A total of 8 (four couples) stayed at the property. There was more than enough space for everyone. The location was great as there was sufficient space between neighbors. As with prior reviews, plan on bringing extra towels, toilet paper, etc. We also brought lots of disposable items such as foil pans, Tupperware, garbage bags and paper towels. There was also a Kroger very close to the property. The cabin included a gas grill and open charcoal grill. We used copper grill sheets and the food was excellent. The bedroom TVs are small, but we spent most of the time on the main floor and on the deck which was huge." The theater room was our favorite feature of the home, the game area though nice wasn’t used often bc its in the open loft so it was very very noisy for the rest of the house when games were played. The living room/kitchen area was great, spacious yet cozy and we loved it. I would note that the master with the fireplace is in the basement which we were not a fan of. Also, there is no view from the bottom deck which is where the hot tub is. The furniture in the loft badly needs replaced and the furniture in living room though comfortable could be replaced also. I would also suggest restocking the kitchen. There are no large pots for cooking, no hand towels, dish towels or anything supplied. We liked the location very much as it is close enough to pigeon forge that it’s convenient, yet not in an area that is so busy with traffic. The view of the mountains from the main floor deck was fine. Not great but fine, however we stayed in January so I imagine there would not be much of a view once the trees filled in. Lastly the management company was outstanding. We had an issue that was taken care of within hours. They text to check in with us often and were well above any cabin company we have booked with before. I would definitely go back to this cabin and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of booking." House looked exactly as advertised, was easy to find, clean, beautiful views and the perfect size for what we needed. Only small complaint was both fireplaces weren't working (maintenance worker showed up the same day I called, was very nice but said the propane was empty and the company they use for that is closed on weekends...something that should have been checked before our stay). The Tennessee location worked well as all of us could drive to the cabin. We found a number of hiking trails within a 30 minute to hour drive - beautiful hikes. The cabin itself was a great size and fit for a family of 13. The kids enjoyed the movie room and game room specifically. I would suggest that the cabin be inspected for some of the maintenance issues that come up with large group use. Furnishings look a bit tired, outside picnic table could be replaced, dishwasher door drops down too far, cookware not the greatest, kitchen faucet needs some work. Curtains/blinds need cleaned. The property is in the Smokey Cove development with its own pool area. Unfortunately, this great property seems a bit run down and is in need of some attention. Firstly, the bedding gave the impression of being dirty, one with blood on the mattress cover. The downstairs floor is carpeted in a very light color and is very dirty, as were the wood floors above. The movie room chairs are falling apart. The game bin is full of activities, but unfortunately everything is thrown in haphazard and unusable. Compared to experience with other rental properties, we found the kitchen to be lacking many basic items such as baking sheets, bottle opener, functional can opener, etc. Also, some similar properties that can accommodate large groups provide multiple refirgerators/ freezers. We had to use a large cooler and repeated ice refills to keep everything cold. None of these issues are a huge deal, but we expected more from such an expensive property." I fell in love with the Pinnacle Vista video. So Groupon or no Groupon, I had found the destination to celebrate my 45th birthday. It was 11 of us and we weren't on top of each other. It was so open and spacious...and the smell of wood was delightful. This particular trip was an adult only affair, but we all agreed that we'll have to come back with the kids and rent an even larger cabin. With all of the attractions within ten minutes away, we felt like one minute we were in secluded mountains, then the next minute we were on the Vegas Strip. I'm talking wax museums, helicopter rides, roller-coasters in the mountains, outlet malls, dinner theaters, water parks, national parks, and so much more!It truly was the best of both worlds. The rental office would check in with us to make sure our stay was going well. If we didn't know how to work something or had issues with something, maintenance was always there within the hour. The property had not been properly cleaned or exterminated upon our arrival. The grills had to be cleaned by us prior to use and the basement was full of cat hair (which my family is allergic to). The theater was so bad that we didnt get to use it at all. The office sent out a cleaning crew, shampooed the carpet, exterminated and repaired faucets, doors etc, but all during our stay. We did not get to use the theater or the lower level with 3 bedrooms and bathrooms for the first 2 days and lost a lot of our food due to an ant infestation in the kitchen. We lost far too much financially and timewise right at the start of our 5 day stay. Once things were in order (on day 3) the stay was fantastic. It was not fair that we had to pay while they did what should have been done upon arrival. When my drafted concern (sent while on vacation) was finally sent to management they decided (via email) to adjust our rate; but it didnt even cover the groceries or a full night's stay. While the cabin is stunning structurally, the cleanliness is not what you would expect for the price you pay, or the expectations presented online. The majority of the staff is very friendly (I spoke to a lot of them), but there should be a better system in place for client communication and property inspection between guests.
