The cabin could have been cleaned a little better.There was hair in towels& Cobb webbs everywhere. I just wish someone would've checked over everything before my arrival because I didn't want to spend any time calling about maintenance & cleaning issues.. luckily I brought my own towels & sheets & cleaning items. Also no detailed instructions on hot tub use. There was water already in there so didn't know if clean or what so me & family couldn't take advantage of that. I also would've like to have been told about construction that was being done near us that woke us up our first morning there." It is secluded but it doesn’t look like for much longer bc it looks like a cabin is being built right next door. We had a few issues which is pretty common for us. Everyone’s bed was uncomfortable, especially ours downstairs. It leaned so bad we would roll towards the edge. Pillows weren’t great either. Easy fix and hopefully they’ll get those replaced soon. Only other complaint was that when using the jacuzzi tub downstairs they had dirt or something built up along edges. I called on a Saturday morning and was told they would have someone come clean it but it never happened so we never used it again and left it like that. Very disappointed that happened. The floors were sticky in the kitchen. Bathrooms were dirty too (Mildew in the showers). Water leaks around faucet handles in kitchen and upstairs bathrooms. Don't believe them when they say "Google Maps" will guide you all the way to this place. That is totally wrong, you'll be led to multiple locations and streets that are maybe within a hundred yards vertically from the cabin. Beds badly need replaced! You can visibly see the indentions in every mattress and it feels like sleeping on cardboard. Poor customer service: only partial voucher provided when I needed to postpone my stay, but when they cancel the stay there is no monetary apology. They threaten a $75 fee for not running the dishwasher prior to leaving, but when the machine won't start without 10 minutes of trying to push buttons to get the stupid thing to start, THAT FEE IS A SCAM!! The cabin temperature regulation is out of control. Most floors are extremely cold, while the main level is burning hot. Time definitely doesn't stand still when their construction dudes show up to block you in while they scratch themselves thinking of what to build next. The views overall are very nice." The amenities were up to par and would be used by families, we only played 2 games of pool one evening befor bonfire time. We did not use any other amenities but they looked great. The cabin was clean and completely furnished. We would rebook this cabin in a heartbeat. We are pleased with Elk Springs Resorts as a whole. I mention this just in the case that anyone has trouble with stairs. We had no problems reaching the cabin. Please look for the cabin name sign on the left when you arrive and continue up the slope. We had a wonderful time roasting smores while listening to music on the porch. We played pool, watched movies on the big screen and used the charcoal grill for burgers and steaks. There was a drawer with additional tips, for the broken darts, but the tips were the wrong size and don't fit * There is a grill but no propane. Would be nice if it was full * Downstairs shower had "scum/mold" in the corners. The Elk Spring Rep called when we arrived to check on us and make sure our check-in was fine. We truly appreciated this. Once we got settled, we checked everything and there was only one thing wrong when we arrived. The sliding doors to the master bdrm balcony did not close all the way to lock. We called the rep back and they immediately sent someone to come fix it. After that we just enjoyed our time grilling, playing pool & later watching a movie. We took advantage of all the close needed places and activities such as the grocery store, restaurants, Dollywood, & Downtown Gatlinburg which are only 20-25 minutes away. I reached out and was told someone would come spray. The next day they called and said someone sprayed right before we came so no one would be out. Throughout the stay there were several wasps flying around still, it’s a good thing we aren’t allergic. Also there waa a dart board but the darts were all broken. Couldn’t figure out the alarm system. When I asked I was told there’s directions by it. I ended up searching YouTube. But the “stay” mode was crossed out and I was unsure why. Never did figure out how to use it. Written instructions would have been nice. We spent the majority of our days out and about anyway so not much time in the cabin. But nice views. We had stayed in this cabin the last three years (was with a different company then). Elk Springs was the first company to ever call and check on us the next day to make sure we made it okay and everything with the cabin was ok. This cabin is perfectly situated for our needs. Easy access to Pigeon Forge, Sevierville (via Veterans Blvd), and Gatlinburg through the arts and crafts community. Helps beat a lot of traffic that can occur on the main stretches. The cabin is well maintained and has had new additions added. It is very secluded, which I like. Absolutely no complaints." The pool table with the movie theater and game room was superb. The main living floor was awesome, kitchen, farmhouse table and sitting are was perfect. Now for the best, the view, the Great Smokey Mountains are in your back yard. Very,very private. Once we figured out the best route getting to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge was easy. The only shortcomings could be the carpet in bedroom should be replaced and hot tub was only partially full. Very small issues. This is a definite place for us to stay again!" Especially the downstairs. It was not the cleanest and the cable was out. The countertops were filthy as were the toilets. Main level TV had some connection issues that were fixed by maintenance, but it occurred again the next day. Management was very responsive. They could use a new cleaning crew the head boards of the beds were dusty , there was a dead bug under the glass top night stand in the kids room (they made sure I saw the big bug ) floor of master walk in shower was dirty ,the rain shower head had a lot of scale on it so water was shooting different ways, the silverware tray had lots of crumbs etc in it . The rug when you walk in was dirty and upon arrival the doors were unlocked. Also the fridge door panels fell off a lot ,leather couch had patches and a rip. It was in a good location 20 minutes to just about everything. Kids really enjoyed the theater room and roasting marshmallows. The adults enjoyed the views and playing pool in the evenings. Linens were nice and clean beds comfy. Maintenance was friendly and prompt when my two year old locked the upstairs bathroom. Check in and out was easy.
