The listing says that the cabin is about a mile from Gatlinburg, which was our deciding factor in choosing this cabin. That’s incorrect though. After booking, we got an email saying this cabin is at a different location, actually closer to Sevierville. It took us 20 minutes minimum to get anywhere and at least 30 minutes to reach the national park entrance. They also advertise that it sleeps 8 with a king bed in a bedroom, a sofa couch, and a loft with 2 large mattresses. There’s only one mattress in the loft which left us short a bed. :( Our kids were most disappointed with that. This cabin does have a hot tub but unfortunately, it was turned off when we got there, leaving it lukewarm and not ready for guests. We gave it an evening to heat up, only to find that it wasn’t working properly. We called maintenance, they sent a guy, determined that a professional needed to come but couldn’t come that day. By our 4th and final night there, we still had lukewarm water and couldn’t get it to heat up. We left a message as we checked out and asked to be contacted about all of those issues, but unfortunately never heard back. The view is pretty and the majority of the place is very nice, we just felt like we didn’t get what we expected/needed or what we had paid for. I would highly recommend updating the listing and description as that would eliminate several issues." Furniture was nice quality and decor was lovely. our 4 kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. I appreciated the washer/dryer and detergent provided. Check in was super easy and received a text the day of check in with the lock box code. Couldn't be any easier. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a gorgeous cabin in the Smokies! Oh, and only a short drive from Pigeon Forge. Less than 10 min and it was nice to escape the hustle and bustle there. Once on the property, the road does snake up the mountain to get to the cabin, but it is well designed and we felt totally safe." We were out far enough to feel away from the hustle and bustle but close enough that we could explore Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Smoky Mountains National Park in just a short drive. The road to the cabin is winding and steep but it actually added to the appeal of staying in the mountains. Although cabins were nearby we never felt crowded. That all being said, they provided almost NOTHING in the way of supplies for our stay....for families like us who flew in and therefore couldn't really travel w/supplies, it became expensive quickly. We had to buy toilet paper, paper towel, salt & pepper, laundry detergent, trash bags...you name it. We were there for 4 days, and the 'starter supplies' they provided were gone by day 2. And shopping on the strip of Gatlinburg! We even had a blast doing the alpine coasters in pigeon forge. We ate at the chop house and it was fantastic. Our first day we ate Bubba grump shrimp and that place was sooooo good! We ate a mellow mushroom one night and it was pretty good but I'd recommend Bubba bump shrimp to anyone if your not wanting to eat somewhere really expensive. It's worth every penny you pay there!!! The location is just outside of Pigeon Forge, and the drive to Gatlinburg was an easy one. There was a spa, pool table, and foosball table available for our use (although we never could find the foosball). The cabin was very clean with the exception of an empty Gatorade bottle, dirty rag, and an open bar of soap in the bathroom (leftover from the cleaning crew, perhaps?). I appreciated that there were other cabins on the road so that we were not completely isolated and I also liked the availability of the zipline company on the same mountain as the cabin. It would have been nice if there was something to sleep on in the loft area because it is a great space for kids. In the future we'll bring a sleeping bag for this purpose, but my 5-year old chose to use the couch cushions as a bed in the loft rather than sleep on the sofabed. I would definitely like to return and stay again. Finding the cabin was easy and the check-in/out process was super simple. We had a great time."
