Access to outdoor seasonal community pool, outdoor pavilion, sauna, steam room and fitness center included in your stay. Enter on the upper level where you will be greeted by amazing views through the great room with vaulted ceilings. You will enjoy relaxing on the luxury leather furniture in front of the fireplace and big TV with digital cable. The adjoining fully equipped open kitchen is perfect for preparing in cabin meals and is stocked with most the items you'll need including cookware, coffee maker, blender, mixer, toaster, pots and pans. There is a dining room with seating for 4 - a perfect spot to enjoy a meal while surrounded by mountain views. An upper level covered deck is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee! The upper level also features a queen sleeper sofa as well as a full bath with stand-up shower. Head downstairs to the fun! A pool table and covered deck with hot tub will keep you occupied when you choose to stay in. OR, if you do venture out to the many attractions in the area a 100 degree soak in the hot tub might be the perfect way to finish the day. The lower level king suite with adjoining ensuite bath includes a Jacuzzi tub and shower. You will enjoy waking up to the views of the great smoky mountains just out your window. The property was exactly as described with the advertised views from two outside decks (upper and lower) overlooking the Smokey Mountains. We spent time in the morning sipping coffee and soaking in the views - evening sunset and star gazing was amazing. The cabin was clean and nicely appointed, kitchen had everything needed to cook a few meals. The master bathroom was huge with an oversized whirlpool tub, not to mention a whirlpool on the lower deck! Elk Springs Resort staff were helpful throughout and received timely communications before, during and after our stay. We loved how close the cabin was to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, about a 10 minute drive. Be sure to visit the Gatlinburg Welcome Center and Sugarlands Visitor Center to pick up maps and attraction brochures. We picked up scenic road trip maps, waterfall maps, and Smokey Mountain road/trail maps - all great resources to plan out scenic day trips, attractions to see, and restaurants to dine out. Our favorite drives were on the Newfound Gap Road up to Clingmans Dome and the Little River Road drive with many pull-offs, a beautiful picnic area and amazing waterfalls. We also spent a half day + on Glades Road to visit the many artisan shops - very talented artisans and beautiful artwork from hand crafted woodworking, baskets, paintings, photos, knives, old fashioned brooms, myriad handmade products and art. Hot tub was clean. Was actually shocked at how clean both of these things were, as I used to be a housekeeper at a hospital. Room was ready by 2:45pm even though it was supposed to be ready at 3 (so 15 minutes sooner) And I especially loved that the check in was convenient! We didn't arrive at the cabin until 2am. I love how you don't have to check in at a front desk like a hotel- They text you a code to the door, pool, and gym and you enter and exit at your convenience! Would rate stay a 12/10 and also recommend to others! That’s when we came across this place, we didn’t go in expecting much but were amazed upon arrival. It is the perfect destination for a honeymoon or couples trip. Check in was easy peasy! The cabin was clean upon arrival. It offered enough amenities within the cabin that you could probably spend a day there and be content. We however, did not do this we stayed busy the entire time it is conveniently located. We had an issue with our hot tub when we arrived, we called maintenance and they arrived within 20 minutes. The issue was quickly resolved. The view is gorgeous from both decks! We would enjoy our breakfast on the top deck which is connected to the living room and kitchen and we enjoyed the view on the second deck while in the hot tub. Our only other complaint about our stay is that the towels were rough, if you like soft towels I would suggest bringing some of your own. This has been literally the best cabin we’ve ever stayed in! It had everything we were looking for and more. You have amazing views of the mountains for starters. You can see Mt. LeConte in plain sight, as well as, Ober Gatlinburg Ski Mountain and it’s lit up at night. We wished we had brought our binoculars to watch the skiers at night, very cool! It has a BIG screen tv in the living room with a fire place, a tv in both the bedroom and play room, and even a smart tv outside with the hot tub!!! There was also a Pool table and Arcade game and we played both every day. Both of the bathrooms were very nice and very clean, and the windows were huge so that you could enjoy the views from within. If I had to say one bad thing about this place, it would literally only be the bed. I’ve honestly slept in cheaper hotel rooms with better mattresses. This is suppose to be a luxury cabin, and everything is truly luxurious, except for the mattress. It’s not a deal breaker, and I would still give this place 5 stars and stay again and again....I would just be better prepared and bring a memory foam mattress topper to try and sleep better. But yes, I highly recommend staying here, if you’re looking for an amazing time to spend in the mountains. We had multiple floors with multiple decks that overlooked the mountains. On one of the decks, we had a hot tub, which was just what we needed after a long day of travel and another long day of walking around the strip in Gatlinburg. We could not have asked for a more relaxing weekend, and we will most certainly return soon. We did have a couple maintenance issues with the cabin, but nothing that caused us to enjoy our stay any less. The toilet in the bathroom next to the bedroom was missing the chain, so we had to flush it manually. The curtain in the dining room had a broken link as well, but it wasn't a big deal at all. We traveled 10 hours from Penmsylvania to be here and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks Elk Springs for making our 30th anniversary a very special and memorable one. The only problem we had was having to leave. This place is defiantly a little piece of Heaven. What a concept in resorts. Highlight the spectacular views with a spectacular Cabin with all the amenities including a gormay kitchen and open space concept. We will defiantly be back." The only problem I had was the fireplace. It is electric...not gas...not wood burning so we could never get any heat from it. It blew cool air if you turned on the fan. So it was not as cozy as it could have been. We had extremely cold weather while we were there so it would have been nicer if we had a fireplace that produced heat. This cabin did not have any kitchen supplies- not even a coffee filter or salt and pepper so just plan accordingly. Overall, it was a nice stay... Renters should know that while the kitchen is stocked with the typical utensils you would find in a kitchen, the pots & pans are not non-stick. I brought minimal food, etc. so this was a small problem. Renters should also know that the grill on property is not a gas grill. Two things that we struggled with...the A/C and the bed in the master bedroom. The A/C just wasn't cooling the downstairs area and sleeping at night was almost impossible. Seems some of the vents had more air flow than others and then team that with the mattress that is beyond needing replacement, well our sleep was limited.
