This 3 bedroom home theater cabin features 3 suites and 1 suite with Jacuzzi tub, an outdoor hot tub, gas grill, pool table, game table and many other amenities. Watch movies on your own private 9 foot theater screen with surround sound system. Enjoy your favorite football or basketball game on the big screen television. Or have a cookout on the large deck that features a stainless steel gas grill. Free wireless internet in this huge 2 bedroom cabin. The upstairs bedroom features 2 queen sized beds and a private bath. The adjoining loft has a game table and queen sleeper sofa. The main entry level suite features a king sized bed, Jacuzzi tub and bath. With the lower level theater and game room adjoining another suite with private bath. For your convenience, this cabin is equipped with a washer/dryer and a dishwasher as well as a full kitchen with pots and pans. There is comfortable seating for 6 on the main level, 8 in the lower level and 6 in the upper level loft area. May 30, 2023 - Melissa S., Bolivar, TN "Annual Gatlinburg Christmas Vacation Location is PERFECT to avoid traffic and visit Gatlinburg daily. The cabin is nice and relatively clean. The beds are not comfortable and the furniture is not in good shape and in need of replacement. There is no communal bathroom (i.e. they were only in the bedrooms which presented a problem for those sleeping in the loft and in the basement. The thing we had most issue with were the threatening laminated signs throughout the cabin posting fines. It became a running joke that if we sneezed it would cost us $150. For those of us frequent flyers, we understand how to respect properties and found this very off-putting. The kitchen had bare minimum, but was enough to be able to cook and eat in. The gas grill a plus. The 3rd stair from the bottom heading to the loft was super slick in socks, 3 of us slipped. I unfortunately did not catch myself. Wear cabin socks with rubber padding!!! Honestly, we would stay again if the signs go and the furniture were replaced. Location again, is perfect so may look into other Elk Springs cabins for future visits." Close enough to all of the Smoky Mountain tourist spots but far enough away to ensure quiet and tranquil nights. The rooms are spacious and as described on the website. The pictures are accurate. Plenty of room for up to 12 people. The main concern was the housekeeping of this property. Everywhere you look there is at least one inch of standing dust. In the window sills are multiple dead flies —- especially in the large front window, easily 50-70 dead flies. When this was addressed with the office, they sent housekeeping 24 hours later. Housekeeping showed up with 3 dry rags and a bottle of windex. She put the dusty rags on the beds. For the price paid, it is suggested to provide more than one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels for the kitchen, etc. I would recommend sticking with a private Airbnb or VRBO instead. We still could strongly smell the odor upon leaving (I've lost a significant amount of my smell with Covid & I could smell it distinctly.) The walls in some rooms were very dusty and had cobwebs. The worst part of our experience was that we felt completely on our own during a 48 hour power outage. We - putting ourselves at risk during the pandemic - were outside exposing ourselves to other (unmasked) guests trying to help them in a snow and ice storm. (They came to us because - as true Minnesotans - we had shovels with us; we always keep them in our cars.) The resort people were nowhere to be found. (Last Christmas, we stayed at the beautiful Temperance Landing on the North Shore of Superior. We had a snow storm, and the resort had their plows out as soon as the first flake fell.) No compensation for the misery of trying to cook our Christmas dinner by flashlight outside in the cold on a gas grill. We tried to laugh and keep it positive, but the dinner I planned really did not turn out well. No compensation for not being able to use wifi, hot tub, kitchen, lights, fridge, HEAT. We were freezing (and we're used to the cold). The entire lower level became completely unusable - first because it was literally a freezer and then when the power returned because of the smell of mildew (perhaps no dehumidifier during power outage?). During outage, I had either zero response or negative response the few times I could get a connection from my phone which I charged in my car. We couldn't leave because no plow ever showed up during the snow and ice storm. We had to wait for temps to rise to melt the snow and ice. No love for the Smoky Mountains after the way we were treated. Next time, Vermont. I won't return to Tennessee. The sheets on the main level felt like it had dirt in them because the sheets are worn out. This might sound minor but when you are paying thousands of dollars you expect the minor things to be fixed. This is why we stay in a cabin so it will be like at home. Also we would think at the management level would look at how long guest have been coming and try to do something nice for them like gift basket upon arriving or more the 10 % off. Just a thought. You can look back at our record and see how many years we have been coming. But are seriously considering other resorts this year. We had to go out and purchase many you would have in a hotel room, let alone the cabins in this resort. There are no common bathrooms, all bathrooms are in bedrooms, the Hot Tub was very cold when we arrived and took a day to heat up(We were only there for two days so that was disappointing) Also, if you are wondering why there is not a picture of the Theatre room on the website, it is because there is not one. There is a common room in the downstairs area with a projector screen. Not a Theatre Room. The Cabin overall was nice, but not for the price compared to the other properties here. It gave each family a floor of their own for privacy, but areas for family time. Everyone was pleased with the cabin. The only issues we had was a light out in the top floor bathroom, and had problems getting the dishwasher to start. Also, we assumed coffee filters for the coffee pot would be furnished. A grocery run had to be made before we could get our morning coffee, and for us coffee drinkers, waiting sometimes is not pleasant. Next time, however, we'll know." We reached the cabin at 3 PM sharp and still no code. We waited outside the cabin for about 45 minutes before they gave us a entry code. So we sat in the living room for another 30 minutes while they were restocking and making beds. 2. We planned Bar BQ on July 4 th and brought marinated meat with us , however when we attempted to start the grill it barely gave any flame, so we called the company and they told us that it will be 1 hour before any one can come, we waited for 1 hr and then called back and were told that someone on its way , finally a guy showed up after 2 hours and tried to fix the grill but could not , so our July 4 th Bar B Q plan went down the drain. Despited 2 major issues , no one really bothered to call . I requested the company that I want to talk to the manager to express my concerns , they said someone will call , but no one did till today. This was our second trip to Elk Springs Resort because the first trip was so great. This trip ;however, was not as great. We stayed in Mountain Magic & this was the wrong cabin for us. The acoustics in this cabin are terrible. We stayed on the mid level & could hear absolutely everything that happened in the bedroom above us, only magnified. There is no insulation between floors, so every single move was heard. The beds on the top floor have wheels & the mattresses are VERY squeaky so we could hear every single time someone walked, sneezed, talked, rolled over, etc. Very little sleep to be had on this trip. Also, the mid level bedroom had no door to the toilet, so no bathroom privacy. I would definitely not recommend this cabin to anyone. The resort is nice & like I said before, other cabins are enjoyable. This is just recommended to anyone who would like a good night's rest on their vacation." It was a last minuuute booking and the rental company was very easy to deal with and the rate was good for the 4 nights we were there. There was plenty of room for the 5 adults that stayed in the cabin. We rented movies from the Red Box that was in front of the grorcery store and enjoyed the home theater in the cabin. Like other people that have left reviews, the furniture needs to be updated. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. We went to Walmart and purchased foam mattress toppers and put on the beds that helped some. The sofa in the main living room was "broken", for lack of a better word. It felt like sitting on the floor and had no support in the seats. Also, you could hear every movement of the people on the floor above you. At night it was difficult to sleep, between the hardness of the mattress and the squecking of the floor above. But, over all it was very clean and a nice cabin for a last minute stay. There were six people in our group (all couples), so each pair were in a bedroom on the three levels within the cabin. I'm very particular when it comes to the cleanliness of bathrooms and I was very impressed with how put together they were. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary pots, pans and other cooking ware that would be needed during out stay. The downstairs area provided great entertainment for everyone in the evening with the pool table, hot tub and movie theater area. In the event that you plan to utilize the movie projector, make sure to bring DVD movie formats (no cable/tv is connected to the projector). In the daytime, we traveled to Gatlinburg, which was about a 10 minute car ride to the Parkway strip and to restaurants, so the cabin is close enough but not in the hustle and bustle of downtown. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend the Elk Springs Resort and we will definitely consider this resort for our future stays in Gatlinburg."
