*** This cabin is not located on the main Elk Springs Resort Property. This cabin is located off ski mountain road in Gatlinburg towards Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area. You and your special someone will enjoy a romantic getaway at Cozy Creek. You can even bring the kids and the dog as there is an extra king suite with full bath. Enjoy sounds of the creek just below your deck, hot tub, wood burning fireplace, full kitchen and dining area as well as FREE wifi. The cabin is conveniently located about 5 minutes to downtown just up ski mountain road. Bedroom and Sleeping Arrangements: Main Level King Suite: King Bed - Sleeps 2 Loft King Suite: King Bed - Sleeps 2 *** This cabin is located in off Ski Mountain Road towards Ober Gatlinburg and is just 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. This cabin is about 20 minutes from Elk Springs Resort. Host requires the guest to sign a rental management agreement prior to allowing access to the unit. The agreement details our cancellation policy, terms and conditions. Must be 21 or older to reserve a cabin and person booking must be staying in the cabin. We provide a starter supply of paper products, detergents and soaps and coffee filters. We do not supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash and there are no pantry items, spices, salt & pepper or coffee included - guests should bring these items. This cabin is professionally managed by in Gatlinburg, TN. We provide concierge service as well as dispatched maintenance and housekeeping should you need assistance during your stay. I will say that if you are sleeping in the downstairs bedroom, the Jacuzzi tub is directly above you, and if the jets are on, it is LOUD. VERY LOUD. It probably louder there than in the Jacuzzi tub. That and the dryer didn't work, and I was freezing so I tried to use an extra blanket out of the closet and it smelled like people. We washed it, but had to hang it on the porch because the dryer would not rotate. We did report that issue so they have probably fixed it. There were a few glitches for us since we stayed two weeks. Bringing our own supplies for a long stay was a challenge for storage when we got there. We rearranged and managed. The upstairs bedroom is especially nice. I am sure that most people that can climb stairs and don’t have a little blind Yorkie would chose to stay upstairs. We loved being there. We did had an adventure with a bear looking for food. Fortunately we did not leave any food goods in our pickup and it was not damaged. We look forward to coming back! The beds were uncomfortable, pillows worn and the couches looked like the seams where about to split at any moment. The cabin was already small but it didn’t help that someone was storing there Christmas decorations in the back corner by the dining room table. I had to leave for a family emergency and the management was less than accommodating. I ended up paying $900+ for one night in a subpar cabin. We also needed to contact again regarding WiFi and that concern was handled with much more care and concern and was corrected very quickly. Perhaps someone was having a bad day during our first communication but after driving 12 hours and being delayed to check-in, I wasn't having a great day either, as the paying customer I felt my bad day likely should have trumped theirs. While I'm kind of kidding, I really was initially disappointed for how excited I was to get there. I definitely thought I had made a mistake booking with them but gladly I can say they did turn my initial impression around. All that being said, the cabin was in a great location, all of our concerns were addressed and I would absolutely stay here again. In fact, I have already recommended this cabin and Elk Lodge in general to several of my contacts. I would simply suggest some training on compassion towards traveling folks, especially after climbing a mountain for hours that they may not be used to doing. This cabin is further from the road than Bear Cabin, its immediate neighbor, with which it shares parking spaces. The hot tub is secluded and there is a supply of firewood for the fireplace. We visited in February and had a fire then entire time we were there. The wood was still a bit green, but burned nicely once a bed of coals started. Ober Gatlinburg is ten minutes up the mountain and Gatlinburg is ten minutes down. The kitchen has little counter space to work on. Unlike a VRBO rental, the cupboards are not stocked with spices or staples, so you’ll want to bring those with you. There are enough plates and bowls and cutlery for four, but serving more would be a pinch without being paper and plastic. We ended up buying more dishwasher tabs at the store just down the hill, because there weren’t enough when we arrived. At the end of our vacation, the snow was falling and we didn’t want to leave." There were several lightbulbs that needed replaced which made it dark in the space. The indoor jacuzzi tub didn’t work and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The cabin was dusty and dirty throughout, pet hair was found in both bed sheets, and the dining table was a sticky dirty mess. Lastly, the dryer didn’t heat and we ended up leaving the space with a bag of wet clothes, which was pretty frustrating. This cabin was a dream come true for me and my little dog. We could go down to our own stream whenever we wanted. I loved having my morning coffee down there while listening to my own mini waterfall. We could take our time in the mornings because the park is only 10 minutes away. Driving was very easy on this trip, no steep hills or hidden roads. As far as the cabin itself, I was impressed with it's cleanliness. The hot tub outside is private and worked perfectly. The jetted tub inside was great too, with a nice view out the windows. It was chilly for our trip, but we were well stocked with firewood and the heat worked well. I cooked all my meals there with no problems. We will be back when it is warm enough for us to play in the creek! This was our first Elk Springs rental, and I don't think we'll use anyone but them in the future. Our trip was initially planned for my parents and myself and husband with our 2 older dogs, things changed and it ended up being my mom and myself and my boxer. It was an absolutely perfect trip. We loved the cabin. We come to Gatlinburg frequently and always stay in cabins. This one will stay on our "return" list. The creek running in front of the cabin was so peaceful. We read in the cabins guestbook there was a mama bear and 4 cubs that frequented the cabins area. We didn't see all of them but we saw 2 of the cubs in the woods beside our cabin. The sister cabin next to us saw the mama and cubs walk beside ours, hate we missed it! I would like to let other potential guests know that travel with dogs (especially older) the cabin has a slight hill to get to the grass area, there are pavers in the gravel, but at night my boxer struggled with her vision (the sister cabin is on the flatter side). It is not steep by no means and accessible just a little difficult for some older dogs and there is 4 porch steps for them to climb (as well as the upstairs bedroom, which I used a baby gate to block her from climbing unassisted). Although it’s fairly close to a well traveled road, the soothing sounds of the creek drowned out most of the road noise. The cabin is definitely cozy. The upstairs loft space was nice with some room to move around, but the downstairs bedroom hardly had room left to walk around the king sized bed. Although the furnishings were nice, the cabin could use some ‘freshening up’. The sofas were well worn, the spread on the downstairs bed had some tears and seemed to be in need of a cleaning, and the cabin had a ‘musty’ smell, almost as if it had been shut up for some time. The location of the cabin was very convenient to downtown Gatlinburg, and the staff at Elks Springs were so kind and friendly. My favorite part of our stay would be having my morning coffe in the rockers on the front porch and relaxing in the shady swing and listening to the creek and while cooling off in the afternoons. I don’t know that we will choose Cozy Creek again as it was a little small for our family of four’s liking, but we will definitely book with Elk Springs again. Even with a discount, I paid more than I have in the past for equal quality accommodations. We always look for a wood burring fireplace in the fall or winter and we usually visit a couple of times in that season. There was a nice one in the unit. I did have to call for firewood as there was none at the cabin. They quickly responded and delivered a few bundles of wood that can be purchased at the local food lion. I though that was nice, However, there was no additional wood provided. Very pleased with how clean this cabin was! Big plus. I might consider renting again with the right promotion. I do like the way Elk Springs handles check in, very nice. I just felt over all this cabin was overpriced for what was quoted as an upgrade due to confusion with our first rental. I would certainly give this staff a big plus for customer service. There could be a few more items that would give it more of a personal touch like.. wood at the cabin, maybe a starter stack in the room, coffee filters, first coffee pack, a few extra towels since there is a hot tub, and a jetted tub inside. Over all we were cramped a bit when sleeping and getting ready, the stay was relaxing and comfortable and I would say a good experience." There is a beautiful jacuzzi tub in the loft area that unfortunately was surrounded by dead ants with quite a few piled up inside as well. I'm glad they were dead, but still... 3 of the lamps that would have made for nice lighting did not work. Most of the dishes we had to re-wash or rinse because we could not tell if they were actually clean. We had to have maintenance come out to fix the hot tub, but found out it kept throwing the breaker so it never got up to a good temperature to enjoy it. These are very simple things that should have been taken care of by the cleaning service and for as much as I paid to stay there, I felt it was unacceptable. The creek in front of the cabin is lovely and as advertised. What was surprising was that when you look up from the creek, you are looking at the main road vice deep woods. We were also disappointed that the fireplace was inoperable. There was a sign saying not to use it. We called to ask why and were told the gas was turned off. It's a wood burning fireplace. We chose not to risk using it and getting a fine. But what's a cabin in the woods, or by the road, without a working fireplace? Do to the way this cabin is situated between a steep mountain wall, the creek, and then the road, there is no outside free space other than the deck. Also helpful to be aware that downtown Gatlingburg is a huge tourist trap. Think Myrtle Beach combined with Virginia Beach and plopped in the mountains. There are throngs of people everywhere. Very overcrowded. Traffic was horrible and I was there on a random weekend in May. Can't imagine being there when school is out of session." You have totally changed our minds about vacation stays, at least in the Gatlinburg area. Every thing was just as pictured, with the exception of a swing (frame was there, but no swing). Other than that, this was def a "what you see, is what you get" experience. The location was absolutely perfect!! The sound of the stream running outside your front door was AMAZING!!!! Everything you could imagine needing was provided for you, with the exception of a hair dryer (our only suggestion would be to add a crockpot to the kitchen & an indoor doormat to the front door. In between the recent rain & "leaf showers", it was difficult to keep the floors clean). All decor is adorable & very fitting for the area. Entire cabin was very clean. Beds were absolutely the most comfortable bed we've slept in while away from home!! Our only regret was not booking for longer!!! They didn't forget anything. We rented it for a quick trip during spring break. I was a little concerned that it wasn't on Elk Springs property. It as soon as we climbed the mountain and saw this beautiful property and cabin we felt like we were home away from home. The location was PERFECT! Just a few minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountain National Park. Also a short drive to Pigeon Forge. Elk Springs communication was great! We got a call about an hour before we were to check in with the door combination. No need to stop at the office to check in. Also received a call the next day to check in with us to see if we were satisfied with the cabin and if we needed any additional supplies. The cabin was equipped with all we needed. Enough paper products for the weekend along with dish detergent, dish soap, soaps for the bathroom and laundry soap. We would absolutely stay there again. Of course a trip into the Smoky Mountains is a must. We would recommend Clingmans Dome if you only want a quick look at the mountains. The drive was pretty and the views were gorgeous. We also enjoyed the Comedy Barn and the Darren Romeo Magic Show in Pigeon Forge. We took a ride to Ober Gatlinburg on the tram. Save your $ and your time and drive up the hill if you feel s need to visit this attraction. The lines were terrible! If you are looking for a thrill the Alpine Coaster in Pigeon Forge was a blast! It is off of Traffic Light 3. Don't let the line scare you. It moves fast. We rode twice. Once during the day and once at night. The cabin was very clean and the setting was awesome. It was very close to the downtown and its shopping and restaurants. We loved it and would not hesitate in booking it again. We liked the fact that the management company checked in with us to see if we needed anything and to make sure we were happy. Loved it!!
