The interior was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with essentials, including a full kitchen that made cooking our own steak dinner feel special. The view from the deck was stunning, especially at sunset, and the hot tub was a great way to unwind after a day of exploring Gatlinburg. When we arrived at the cabin we realized that another cabin was being built right next to the cabin. It should be required to disclose that information, luckily they tried keeping the noise down as much as they could. We personally prefer a cold cabin/room however at these cabins the AC is only allowed to be set down to 70 degrees which for us felt pretty warm since the temperature outside was in the 90’s. We found some dead bug parts on the “supposedly clean bed” and my boyfriend also got bit by a centipede in the middle of the night when we were in bed sleeping. The main thing we wanted to do at this cabin was get in the hot tub and enjoy the view. The cabin does have a nice view but the hot tub needs upkeep. The cover is falling apart and instead of keeping the water clean it made the water dirty, that’s probably why we found a huge water bug in the tub. This cabin was supposed to have a swing on the back porch but it didn’t. In the dining area the lamp hanging above the table has not been clean in months is was so dirty. We did send an email to management and they stated if we would have reached out earlier they could have addressed the issues. Why should we spend our vacation time getting things in the cabin addressed? These things should’ve been addressed before we got there. Isn’t that your responsibility? While yes it was a little steep to get up there the inside was clean and homey. The views around us were nice and even had the opportunity to see a bear. However, the tv did not work, the gas logs were not turned on to use and a lightbulb was out. We called the staff and were treated well and got everything running well. After the maintenance man left the TV only picked up a smattering of local channels, QVC, but no ESPN, movie channels, or any of the other channels you would expect to receive from any provider's base package. After that, the TV refused to work at all, hence we watched our programming on a laptop. The wiring in the back of the Tv set was a mass of spaghetti that would challenge a rocket scientist. The cabin did show some wear and tear from usages, such as rippled flooring, dislodged tile by the indoor hot tub, and a leaky refrigerator. Beyond that, we had a great time. The view was spectacular but not as good as the rental pictures indicated, but still nice. I would have preferred something a tad more secluded since these cabins are practically on top of each other. We spent a lot of time at the cabin and in the tourist areas which were very conveniently located to us. It was quiet except for the partiers a stone's throw from us. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable when it came time to sleep it was quiet. We had one of the best Vacations ever. Oh, yes, the hot water was non-existent at the kitchen sink, bathroom sinks, and we had to wait a while for the water to heat up in the shower. But we still had a great time knowing the outdoor tub was excellent, being between seasons we had a good deal of privacy with a few exceptions already mentioned. My wife and I made the vacation great because we were together celebrating 45 years of marriage. The place we stayed was pleasant, with some flaws, but that didn't matter. I will say for that many issues charging as much as you do is a shame. If I had to give a grade it would be a B-. They primed it and then it worked. But, the hot water takes a very long time to heat up in the faucets. We had to run the shower to speed up the process. The toilet was leaking onto the floor in the adjacent bedroom, and the wooden floor tiles were warped and wet. They came to fix it, and it still leaked, so we turned the water to the toilet off after each use. The dishwasher stopped working on our 4th day there. They did respond quickly to the calls we made. The hot tub is great, the pool room and video games were fun. The darts had no tips so we couldn't play that. View was amazing, great location, and we saw some bears! I like that it's outside of Gatlinburg, which is very crowded during Covid - not much mask wearing!! We would recommend it, but not if the same problems still exist. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we felt very safe and comfy here and had an amazing time that we'll never forget! It was very close to downtown and so easy to get to anything you wanted to do/see. Newfound gap is 17 miles away on 441 and all kinds of trails to choose from are nearby. Not too close to the busyness of Gatlinburg, but close enough that we were able to enjoy the experience when we wanted. The only small drawbacks were from time to time, the sinks would not produce hot water upon command. To get hot water from sink faucets, I would have to turn them all on (bathroom and kitchen sinks) to get hot water to flow. Lastly, the tv channel selection was frustrating. There was no distinctions of channels available, so upon surfing through the guide, if you selected one of the channels listed, you would only know after selecting it if it was available to watch. Overall though, I would return and stay at these cabins again. The beauty of the area, and the seclusion the cabin provides is well worth it." Though it rained most of my stay , the view from the hot tub was amazing. Hot tub worked perfectly as well as the in room jacuzzi. The games on the second level all worked and the furniture wasn’t old and worn as one review mentioned. We were minutes away from a local grocery store in addition to a moonshine distillery! Also, we didn't have any hot water. We had ran the water in the kitchen sink and the two vanity sinks for several minutes [and several different times] and the water never even got warm. I called the service number at 11:30pm. Response time was great. But, the next morning, we still didn't have any hot water. I called again and a service guy came out within an hour. He thought he fixed it but it wasn't. All week, we had to run all the faucets together for about three minutes before we could get hot water. The floors were very dirty and I noted that when I called, but they only offered to let housekeeping know. That didn't help us at all. After the dirty floors, I was convinced the hot tub had not been cleaned and refilled because I didn't notice any odor of chemicals and the water was murky. The couch was very worn and the fabric was shredded. The mattress was foam, I think, but just collapsed to nothing when you sat on the edge. When I got home I emailed the resort and received a poor response. I responded that I wasn't happy and said I should have been offered a refund. I finally got one, but it was very poor refund. The jets in the hot tub outside seemed to be stuck on the mildest setting. The couch looked like a cat had torn it to shreds(pretty sure this one is a pet free so not too sure how that happens) prob just old.
