With comfortable seating for 5, you can enjoy the fireplace or go up to the loft and play a game of pool. The full kitchen and dining room adjoin the great room where there is seating for 6 including the breakfast bar. A washer / dryer is included for your convenience. Also on the main level is the suite and suite bath with king sized bed with upgraded mattress as well as rustic yet luxury furnishings including the true stacked logs as well as the 4x6 ceiling beams. Upstairs next to the loft pool table area is a full suite with king sized bed and full private bath for privacy. Admire the vaulted ceilings and finish work in this lofted bedroom. Worst of all, the downstairs mattress had blood on it so I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in it at all. There were several other areas that were dirty or had caked on messes. Out of the three times we have stayed with Elk Springs Resort, we have never had an experience like this with Elk Springs cabins. Because of the filthiness of this one, unfortunately, we won’t be using them again. Too much money spent not knowing if it’s filthy or not. :( very sad about this. We stayed in March, so the trees were bare and we could see the mountains. This cabin is away from the noise so I enjoyed the birds and wildlife every morning. Shops and restaurants are only a 10-15 drive. The cabin comes equipped with all your needed appliances but be sure to stock up on coffee filters, tp, laundry detergent, etc. The cabin felt clean overall. We did find a clump of hair in our master bed and changed the comforter out. I know things happen but the bed comforter had lots of hair throughout the fabric. I appreciate that the hot tub was drained and refilled-even if that meant it wasn’t fully hot when we checked in. The bathrooms are large and have good water pressure and beds decently comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tub each night and watched for shooting stars. If we return to Gatlinburg we would stay here again. I had my grand daughter bath in the tub the same night they went check for the leak and water was dripping into the bottom bathroom again, so we had to share the bottom bathroom with 5 people because we did not want to ruin the ceiling in the bottom bathroom. Would like to say in closing that all and all it could have been a great stay because the place is really nice and location is good. But paying for a 2-bathroom place, and only being able to use one was very inconvenient for the entire family. We have one grandchild that has a lot of allergies and we spent the first day cleaning the beds and bathrooms, missed 1 day of our trip to make sure when her and her mom showed up that the place was ready for her. There are pots and some pans provided as well as plenty of eating utensils for cooking if that’s something you look forward to doing on your trip. We like to have a couple meals at our cabins but this cabin did not have salt, oil, or anything at all edible so if you do plan on cooking you will need to bring those little things. This is more of a hotel feel than an airbnb. As for toiletries, towels for showering were provided but there were no larger towels provided for the jacuzzi. The towels are the small thin ones- hotel style. Hand soap is provided but shampoo and body wash are not (unless you use the hand soap). You will be expected to do a couple of chores before check out but nothing excessive- just loading the dishwasher and removing linens and trash. The location was great, you can easily get to pigeon forge or gatlinburg without driving more than expected to when you’re in a cabin- they’re both about a 20 minute drive away. As for the staff the communication is top tier. I was able to text a member one on one about any and every little question I had and they were so gracious and knowledgeable with their responses. I would come back to another cabin just because of how great the customer service is. The enormous problem was absolutely no insulation between upstairs and downstairs. It was just a wood floor that was also the downstairs ceiling. Any movement whether in the bed or upstairs was extremely loud and amplified downstairs. You could hear each other talking and understand what was being said between the upstairs and downstairs. The bands were extremely uncomfortable and noisy. Also it warmed up on our last two days being in Gatlinburg and we were hot and cooking and doing laundry so one of the air conditioner on but it has a govern only down to 68. I don't want to be governed I want to be comfortable and be able to have my room at the temperature I'm accustomed to. I'm paying enough on the rental and I should be able to put my AC at what I want. So there was no sleep for an entire week. And I will never stay there again nor recommend anyone stay there again. Also they have signs about their plumbing and stating if there's any issues you're going to have to pay to plumber. First night we got there the toilet was about to overflow. I did not want to even contact them because I figured I'd have a big fat bill for a plumber. But my son-in-law found a plunger upstairs and we were able to take care of the issue. I would assume that the people previous to us didn't want to pay a bill either so they did not contact them. So be wary about their plumbing because it does give a lot of trouble and I'm pretty sure they won't bill you." Nov 27, 2022 - , Ragley, LA "Sadly Disappointed The mattresses are AWFUL. There were either what felt like straight rods sticking out or they try to cover the mattress with an incredibly soft foam topper which causes you to roll inward toward the center of the bed and moves throughout the night. The towels are genuine sandpaper and did not even cover my 21 month old from shoulder to rear end. The sheets are so old they have a ton of rough balls throughout. We were given 1.5 rolls of toilet paper for a four day trip in a 2 bedroom cabin that sleeps 6. We were also given 1 trash bag for the same amount of time/people. I asked the front desk for more to which they responded, sorry once you run out of your starter pack you're on your own.While check-in is supposed to be at 3 pm, we did not get our door code until 445 pm. I called and emailed many times ahead of the trip to see if we could get an early check-in and were told they always try to get the cabins ready early but can't guarantee it until 3 pm. The reason I kept calling was because we had to plan a very long drive with a toddler and a dog so we wanted to time it perfectly to have our cabin be ready on time upon our arrival. We received a text in the afternoon saying the cabin wouldn't be ready until an estimate of 4 pm. With a screaming child who needed a nap I called to find out why and asked to speak to a supervisor. They said it hadn't been cleaned yet and I couldn't talk to a supervisor and that there was no guarantee 3 pm is the check in, it's just what they aim toward. I am not disagreeing that the rental agreement says that, but I kept telling the woman every single other person I spoke to said check-in would be 3 pm. I asked again to speak to a supervisor to which I was told one wasn't on duty. As I pressed the issue and said I find that very hard to believe that there's no boss on duty for a customer service hospitality business on a Thursday, she said you twisted my words what I meant was they're not available but I'll have one call you.more 2 say" Oct 04, 2022 - Crystal S., Spring Hill, TN "Not so Shabby!!! The pool table is too big for the space in the loft making it impossible to actually play pool. This space may be better used for something else. The location was very quiet during the week. Laminated signs all over the place saying not to do X or Y is not very cozy. Overall it's hard to say whether I would recommend this stay. For the same price you can stay in Hilton Head, which I much prefer as a vacation. Gatlinburg is VERY touristy, which would have been fine if the cabin was more secluded and relaxing." The kitchen was huge, and had so much counter space. There were so many storage closets, which came in super handy because traveling with a baby means packing a ton of stuff. The bedrooms each had the most amazing king size beds; they were easily the most comfortable beds we had ever slept in. There was even a pool table upstairs in the loft, with some stools and a tv for just hanging out and having fun. One of my personal favorites were the rocking chairs out on the wraparound deck. Sitting out there day or night and just taking in the scenery was so relaxing. Spending time in this immaculate and beautiful cabin for nine days was truly so much fun. I thought maybe the cleaning girl missed it and cleaned it before my children could see. One daughter told me during breakfast she heard squeaking and scratching. There was no hiding anymore and my daughter would not let my grandson eat on the dishes. I washed dishes before I cooked and after. Not much of a vacation for me. The pool table is to big for the area. Every shot you make, you have to move the pool table to give room for the smallest pool stick. Yeah you can't use the long one. Good thing we don't take pool seriously. The hot tub smelled musty. I'm not sure if it lacked chemicals or what. last but not least, the bedrooms are on top of each other and downstairs can hear every move upstairs makes and the bed squeaks.
