With all the cabin has to offer, you may never want to if you do you are close to so many of the areas best attractions. You are just 20 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg, 10 minutes to the historic Arts and Crafts Community and only 10 minutes to the Greenbriar entrance to the National Park. From the amazing views, to the spa shower, to the hot tub, to the outdoor fireplace to the pool table and free cabin has so much to offer for couples looking for the ultimate romantic getaway. Bedroom and Sleeping Arrangements: Main Level - Bedroom 1: King Bed - Sleeps 2 *** This Property is located 25 minutes from Elk Springs Resort in the Cobbly Nob Area. Theater Room with 9 foot screen and projector WIFI King Suite Shower Grotto with Shower Jets and Heated Towel Bar Full Body Massage Chair in Main Bedroom Incredible Views of the Smoky Mountains Porch Swing Hot Tub Pool Table Wood Burning Fireplace Outdoor Dining Area Lounge Chairs Washer/Dryer Gas Grill Free WIFI, a washer / dryer, iron and ironing board, and paved parking are included for your convenience. All linens and towels are provided as well as a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, soaps and detergents. Host requires the guest to sign a rental management agreement prior to allowing access to the unit. The agreement details our cancellation policy, terms and conditions. Must be 21 or older to reserve a cabin and person booking must be staying in the cabin. We provide a starter supply of paper products, detergents and soaps and coffee filters. We do not supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash and there are no pantry items, spices, salt & pepper or coffee included - guests should bring these items. This cabin is professionally managed by in Gatlinburg, TN. We provide concierge service as well as dispatched maintenance and housekeeping should you need assistance during your stay. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). The kitchen is stocked with all the basics - microwave, coffee makers (drip and Keurig), plates, utensils and more. The main shower was super nice. The cabin was clean, and the keyless entry is a plus. We stayed three nights - three bears visited during our stay, and by visited, I mean they hung out on the deck and porch for lengthy periods. There’s a groundhog living somewhere close, and we saw it several times. An earthquake shook the cabin pretty roughly, but there was no damage. The covered porch is a real bonus, especially during a thunderstorm one evening. Theatre room was fun, with easy to follow instructions. So, lots of excitement in a really beautiful location. Customer service is great, with timely text and email communications. We’ll definitely go through Elk Springs again for our next trip." I rented this cabin for the views of the mountains and the wood burning fireplace. the views were great, the fireplace not so much. Zero firewood at the cabin. Not even a small amount of firewood. Just a zip lock bag of kindling on the hearth and a lighter. Instruction book at the cabin says that there should be a starter supply of firewood. this would of been helpful info to know before I reserved this cabin. Lesson learned. Never rent a cabin that has wood burning fireplace, gas fireplace only. I messaged the property management company asking about the amount of firewood that would be available at the cabin. The response I received was that the owner provides the firewood. FYI, a small bundle of firewood at the store is $5.00 for 5 small sticks of wood and this cabin has two fireplaces. All tables had been wiped at some point but obviously with dirty rags as it was smeared . Master bedroom tv not functioning . Would be excellent cabin with serious cleaning and some attention to a few things that are broken also we experienced high winds and the gate latches don’t line up and spent half the night closing and trying to keep it from beating the cabin up. In my opinion the place would be absolutely stunning if it had the right caretakers in place not worthy of a premium price in the current state ." Bear signs are throughout the lodge. You have be prepared for the drive up the hill as it has two one lane switch backs. Just go slow up/down the hill. We also enjoyed the Christmas store, Elite Fitness, Tom & Earls back ally grille (don't get the BBQ - save that for one of the BBQ's places on 321). Might want to bring a blanket if your a warm sleeper or want to cuddle on the couch. One more thing bring your own dry wood. The wood that is there has a blue tarp but smokes and hard to burn. Kitchen floor was sticky to walk across, cans of "bed bug spray" were left out next to the bed, finger/toe-nails were found on the master bedroom floor, the "towel warmer" was a towel rack that was once a warmer (didn't work), the fancy shower was broken at the shower head and spewing water out the top, the hot tub was warm, but only half of the jet are operational. The kitchen sink smelled like someone had cleaned fish in it and left them to rot. Yes, there was a can of bed bug spray, but not a can of Febreeze to cover that smell. I've stayed in cleaner campsites. I normally don't even write reviews, and certainly not to complain about cleanliness. However, this place not only fell far short of my expectations, but it was bad enough for me to take time to point these things out to warn future renters." My only suggestion, the game room and theater room were a waste of space. This would be a perfect cabin of 4 if the two rooms mentioned were combined into a second bedroom." The only problem we came across was that there were so many large black ants in the kitchen and a huge abundance in the master bathroom. Kept my shoes on almost tge entire stay. We got bit by quite a few. Contacted management and they were able to get most of them cleared up. We still ended up with a couple bites, but manageable. I expected a few but not that many. The first night we stayed we had a bear outside where we sat. Couple nights later we ended up with a mom and two Cubs that were visiting a bit. It was very cool! Overall good experience. We only got part of our money back even though this was a huge inconvenience during our stay. Had this not happened, we would have really loved this place! While the amenities this cabin offers are good, the cabin itself is in POOR condition - both cleanliness and state of repair. We are not typically complainers and since we were there to escape COVID, we did not want daily repairmen in the unit. However - management (and owners) would be appalled to rent this unit with all the shortcomings. When we arrived, there were many dead insects on the kitchen countertop that had obviously been there awhile. (We have our own cabin and understand this can be issue when vacant awhile). We realized that the coffee maker did not work (the following morning) and it was replaced (by lunchtime) with a mini- coffee maker (2-cup) / the microwave works sporadically (was filthy when we got here) - stops before done and sometimes the cooking time does not progress as it keeps on cooking / the ice maker does not work at all- in fact it constantly makes a thumping noise whether it is on or off position. The roof leaks in the 2nd bathroom when it rains / the master bedroom shower was filthy with mold (my wife worked for an hour to clean)- one of faucets in the shower drips all the time/ the bathroom floor in the master bath has all sorts of defects and is “soft” around the toilet- so much so that we use the other bathroom. Washing machine stops in mid cycle - has to be manually advanced. As noted the place has tremendous potential - we just feel this place is in poor condition for the “luxury” quality advertised: extremely disappointed by the number of non functional items and condition of this cabin. The shower is the best, once you figure out how to work the 3 shower heads, the “shower wand”, and the 6-8 jets coming out of the wall, and control the temperature on all of them. Complaints... need to be told that movies on disc can be brought to use in the Theater room, and the fact that the A/C can’t be moved be low 70 degrees is a big negative. Sad that you pay that much for a weeks stay and have to buy a fan for the bedroom/bath area. Being told the unit will freeze if the unit goes below 70 is a joke!!! Elk Springs, the actual property management company isn’t much better. 3 days after the reservation confirmation, Elk Springs called and told me the booking website didn’t transfer my payment information, therefore they need my credit card info again and I could have booked directly with them. There is one turn that is a 180 going up hill. Needless to say, we didn't leave the cabin much, so It wasn't a big concern. Will definitely be staying with Elk Springs again. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and well-appointed. We visited in February, so the weather was too cold for us to use the outdoor amenities, but we don't feel like we lost out on the experience. We loved being able to have breakfast while looking out at the beautiful view of the mountains and loved winding down at night with a fire in the fireplace. The only thing that surprised me about the cabin was that it is located directly adjacent to another cabin (on the next property just above), as I had imagined it to be more isolated based on the photos on the website. However, we had no problems with having neighbors (didn't even see anyone until we were packing the car on the last day) and felt like we still had sufficient privacy due to the layout of the cabin. A tip for future travelers: Bring at least a day or two of food with you. Bring matches or a lighter if you want to have a fire in the fireplace too, as they are not provided. By the time we arrived on a rainy evening, we knew we would not have easily made it down the mountain to get to the grocery store. We also loved the hot tub and pool table. Unfortunately, the house lacked a few important things and we were unimpressed with the response of the staff... We reached out before we arrived see if the TVs had access to Netflix/Hulu and we were told that they did. Once we arrived at the house, however, the TVs had basic cable and did not in fact have access to streaming services. If we were told ahead of time, we would have brought our Roku, but instead we were given incorrect information about this. Also, the beautiful shower lacked hot water for more than one of our showers during the stay. The shower was amazing, but not when it turned cold. We had no dish towels. This made it difficult to clean our dishes throughout the visit. We were told someone would bring us some, and no one ever came. At the end of the stay, we asked to talk to the manager (as we had to call 4/6 days we stayed), and the staff never called us. We had an amazing honeymoon because we were together and the mountains were gorgeous, but we were surprised about the lack of hot water and the false information provided before we arrived. The outdoor fireplace was the place to be. We did have to get some starter logs because the wood provided was "green" wood. But once we had a bed of coals, it didn't matter. We will be back! We had septic back up in cabin our 4th night and maintenance couldn’t fix issue. The next morning, we were told a septic company was on the way to fix it, only to get a call 2 hours later saying they are not. Long story short, we spent 5 hours (car packed full of our stuff, cooked food, groceries, soiled towels of mine I used to clean up the mess) trying to find a COMPARABLE replacement only to drive 6 more hours to go home. You can bet I was not a happy camper nor my husband, whose birthday was the next day (reason for trip). No manager, that had any authority, was working that day but I was told I would get a call back the next morning from one in regards to a refund. I had to call each time after this incident and last time I called they couldn’t tell me how much they were refunding because it was already processed. Makes perfect sense right? Don't expect anyone to return your calls unless you're booking. Other than the issue we ran into, we did not want to leave. If another company rented this cabin, we would go back again. We stayed at this cabin from Thursday to Sunday last week and overall enjoyed our stay! Here are the pros and cons: Pros: 1. BEAUTIFUL cabin! Loved the layout and modern/rustic feel. Very spacious cabin for it to be only one bedroom. 2. Amenities were great. Lots of things to do in the cabin from the hot tub, to the theater room, pool table room, to the outdoor area, and more! They even had board games to play as well. And the massage chair in the bedroom was definitely a plus! 3. Views!!! Enough said. Cons: 1. It was in the 40s during the day and some nights in the 30s and 20s during our stay, and we even got a little snow one morning. The thermostat has a lock on it that will not let heat get up past 75 degrees. We called the resort and they informed us about some cabins having temperature locks. So with that being said make sure to bring robes, house shoes, etc. to stay nice and warm. The fire place in the living roomed helped but no fireplace in the bedroom. 2. The shower was gorgeous and roomy, however the hot water did not last very long in it. When we used the multiple nozzles in it, we only got hot water for maybe 7 minutes or so. In addition, with the heated towel bar located in the shower, we just didn’t feel like it got hot enough to really warm up the towels. Tip: throwing them in the dryer was better. Side note: wish there were more towels and blankets provided. 3. The theater room was a nice plus, but you are not allowed to hook up your personal things to it. For example, if you have movies on a flash drive etc. you will not be able to use it without fines associated with it. So we ended up buying some red-box dvds. 4. The power did go out on Sunday morning, but they resolved this within an hour. There you have it for out pros and cons. Again, overall great cabin just wish there wasn’t certain restrictions in order to maximum comfort of stay in winter. The second night we stayed, it snowed at the higher elevations, and from the cabin you are looking right at the mountains across the valley below. After the New Found Gap mountain pass was opened we were blessed to drive thru a "winter wonderland". I don't expect I'll see anything like that again. That same morning there were muddy bear tracks on our back porch. The cabin itself has a "homey" feel to it. The bed was very comfortable. The walk-in shower was amazing with (3) shower heads and multiple nozzles, plus a heated towel rack. I was totally revitalized each time I used it. The theater room was a great place to unwind and spend a little down time. Wish we would of had the time to enjoy the outdoor fireplace and hot tub. Looking forward to returning again someday." Our experience with Elk Springs Resort has been wonderful for the last four years and this cabins did not disappoint us! The agents have always been more than helpful and eager to accommodate our needs. The highlight of this cabin was the outdoor deck. The view was breathtaking. We loved the outdoor fireplace and television (there was ample firewood). Most of our time was spent on the outdoor deck. The spa and shower were wonderful and the multiple televisions were accommodating. A sweet old Bassett hound visited us each morning (we hope he was a resident from down the street ). We loved the grill but a word of caution it brought two black bear encounters. We believe they found the drip pan on the grill since it was on the ground when we arrived. It wasn’t a nuisance and was actually the highlight of our trip. We would like to advise to pay attention to the bear instructions in the cabin. The massage chair was an added benefit, but we did not use the theater room or pool room ( beautiful weather did not allow for time ). This was our second stay with Elk Springs this year and we were surprised that this cabin was as spectacular as the cabin we normally occupy. We did find that the quality of the cleanliness was not what we were accustomed to. There were spiderwebs everywhere, but the beauty of the property allowed us to overlook this aspect. We cook all meals in the cabins due to the beauty of the surrounding. The cook-wear was dated and there was no corkscrew or coffee mugs (there were tea cups ). Several “personal touches” that we were accustomed to in our former cabin were missing to include three calls to housekeeping without a response. We also enjoy the journals that was missing. These were minor issues and we would definitely stay in this cabin again. The cabin view is nice if you overlook the huge RV campground in the valley just below where the cabin sits. It’s not a private area. Cabins of different sizes and styles are placed as close as you can build right next to each other. It is also a longer drive away from Gatlinburg than I would have preferred. We rented this cabin for a week and were so happy with our stay that we are talking about renting it again next year. The location is not on the main property, so it feels more like you are staying in a privately owned cabin rather than being on a resort property. In fact we saw exactly one neighbor one time driving up to the cabin. That's how quiet and peaceful it was. You do have to drive to get to places for hiking, eating, etc, but it's not far for an area like this that we thought. On average expect around a 40 minute drive to get to Sevierville or Pigeon Forge for eating/activities, or 25 min to downtown Gatlinburg due to how busy it can be. There are close hiking areas right off the main street but the "main" hiking areas of the Smoky's is up Newfound Gap Rd and you need to go through downtown Gatlinburg. The cabin was clean, everything was maintained, the amenities were wonderful. We loved the theater room and that there was a TV in almost every other room including out on the patio. We brought our own Roku to hook up for Netflix/Hulu so not sure what sort of local TV service they had, we didn't use it. If you bring movies, only the theater room has a blu ray, the rest are DVD players. The free wireless worked great. Side note... the shower... was epic. The bed had a pretty hard mattress that I liked but my wife thought was a bit too hard, but that's a small thing. Overall consensus: WONDERFUL STAY!" We planned a romantic dinner in and spent a good amount of money and our dinner was ruin do you to our grill running out of gas I believe for the price that we pay these things should be monitored closely and check beforehand. We had to drive all the way back down the mountain and spend more money on a dinner that we had already bought. Our dinner was late thus ruining the rest of our evening and causing us to spend extra money that wasn't necessary. I have many pictures of the cabin that I would like to email to Somebody. The floors were not swept when we arrived I had to thoroughly clean the lounging chairs and tables outside they were filthy like they hadn't been Cleaned in months. Our comforter had dried old food on it the other blanket i got out of the drawer was also dirty. When I went to cook the knife holder was so sticky and covered in filth. Also the pans I got out of the drawer to cook eggs then were dirty and had old food in them..the largest Pan was so scratched up it was unable to be cooked In . The inside of the coffee pot was also molded and dirty. I feel on my vacation I shouldn't have to clean a thing. Most likely will not be booking with yall again. I did call about the gas and it got replace but way after our Food was ruined. I let them also know about the cleanliness of the cabin and they offer to send a housekeeper out but We didn't want to be interrupted and thought it was unnecessary to send someone out to do a job that should have been done before we got there. Thankfully, I was shocked to see my wife acceptance to the overall appearance of the cabin. We still did a little cleaning, knocking cobwebs from corners and our standard ( sanitizing the bathrooms and linens on " Our" bed). This is when things changed...We uncovered the bed to spray it with Lysol before getting in it to discover what we assumed to be bodily secretions. This dry white cloudy substance was not only on the flat sheet of the bedding, but multiple stains on the inside of the comforter. My wife ALWAYS travel with extra sheets and towels (THANKFULLY), but we went to Walmart to purchase a top blanket and mattress cover so we could be comfortable and enjoy the remainder of our trip. We informed housekeeping who was willing to bring clean sheets, but we had already used and purchased our own items...didn't really trust it after what we had witnessed. I'm sure the Owners of ADIP wouldn't be pleased. To have such a beautiful place with subpar cleaning is so disappointing. However, the place alone is gorgeous and we would still recommend this place, just bring your own personal items (sheets, etc). As I said the cabin was very clean, I saw no bugs in insects or anything of that sort, the shower in the master is to die for! Something I noticed was Elk Springs website doesn't show a 2nd full bathroom on their website in this cabin. The theater room runs off a projector, no cable tv in that room, theres cable tv (Comcast Xnifinty) in the family room, master and the outside TV. A BIG downfall is the TV thats outside can not be on the same time as the TV thats in the family room, you have to pull the HDMI cord out of the cable box and either plug the family room hdmi or the outside hdmi into the box, so its either or. Which sucked!! Overall very nice secluded cabin which a million dollar view! BOOK IT!" It's also about 15 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and the closest grocery store. The shower in the main master room was also incredibly amazing. It was made out of rocks and it had a total of three shower heads with a towel warmer inside of it as well! I definitely recommend booking this cabin; you won't be disappointed! Trust me! The cabin and view were gorgeous with everything covered in snow but the roads to get to the cabin were pretty scary. The inside of the cabin was very clean. Our stay was wonderful except for a few things. The pipes on the hot tub had frozen so it was not working when we got there. We called to have maintenance come out and fix it and they sent someone out pretty quickly. The only thing is he was unable to fix it so they had to send someone out the next day and it took him a while to fix it so we were unable to use the hot tub for most of our stay. In regards to the theatre room, it was nicely set up and a great idea but the way all of the cords are run the sound bar was never going to work and it wasn't very enjoyable trying to watch a movie and having the sound just coming out to the tiny projector speakers. We have tried to contact management multiple times but still have had no luck." The cabin is very private & there in enough room to park a trailer in the driveway. The roads are curvy/steep but paved & manageable. There are 2 pools in the complex but they're tricky to find. You're about 20 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg & 35 from Pigeon Forge. We encountered a few minor maintenance issues upon arrival & someone came out right away and was able to address most of them. Be sure to check the level of water in the hot tub is high enough when you check in, if not you can add water with the hose. It would be helpful if the management company left a welcome manual to the home with maps to the pools, etc. If my budget allows I plan on returning to Another Day in Paradise again and again. Unfortunately, I left a somewhat negative review due to some issues that we had. When we arrived, the door code would not work and the problem was not resolved until about an hour later. To redeem the inconvenience, we were promised a 12 o'clock noon check out. However, around 10:30 of the morning that we were going to leave, the cleaning lady showed up and was soon followed by the maintenance man. Around 11:00, we were asked if they could "work around us" as they had another renter checking in that day. So for the next hour, my husband and I had 2 strangers in the cabin with us as we were trying to pack and eat lunch to head home. We felt rushed to leave and it was not a relaxing or good ending to our stay. We were very disappointed that we couldn't complete our stay as promised and would've liked the extra time to enjoy it without having people coming in and out and invading the space we were paying for.
