And, of course, only enough washing powder for one load. Had to buy our own. Bare minimal (dishwashing liquid, soap for bathroom, washing powder for clothes, toilet paper, and paper towel, trash bags) etc. Had to go and buy all of that. Furniture is old and used. TV channels were horrible. No stations except local. NO cable!!! Positives: The jacuzzi tub and the jacuzzi outside, however, all cabins seem to have that." The views were not near as nice as our previous stay. After a couple of days the smell was back in the cabin. Also, the floors in the bedroom bath area were in bad shape due to moisture. We had a great week exploring Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Great Smoky Mountains. Upon arrival to the cabin we were honestly a little disappointed with the location. The photos of the cabin on the website show a single cabin with nothing around it besides Mountain View’s. However it is surrounded by multiple other cabins in a very congested area. The inside of the cabin looked just like the photos online which was nice. The back deck with the hot tub unfortunately had no romantic views whatsoever. It is all overgrown with trees which block your view completely. Again, not as advertised on the website. The front porch had a decent view of the mountains but were still obstructed by the surrounding cabins neighboring ours. As far as cleanliness, overall it was clean to our standards. However the refrigerator had a brown sticky substance on the front, the area rug in the living room had not been vacuumed and was filthy, the jacuzzi tub in the bedroom had black specks coming out of the jets as it probably hasn’t been cleaned properly, and the outdoor hot tub had a black scum line along the inside water line from not being cleaned properly. Everything else appeared to be clean. Overall my wife and I had a great time, we were just a little disappointed with the lack of views and privacy that we were hoping for by looking at the photos online. The most disappointing is that the cabin was called “romantic views” but due to condensation in the windows, the view was obscured. There was hair in the tub AFTER it was "cleaned" There are two back doors and only one had a lock. That is a safety issue. Parking was VERY tight. We checked out a day early due to how unhappy we were and requested a refund for the 1 day we did not stay. Overall, we had a nice stay. However, there were a few details that took away from the allure of a romantic getaway. The main thing was the pests in the kitchen. Everything was seemingly fine upon our arrival (we arrived late Sunday night, took a quick look around the cabin and got ready for bed). The next day we noticed a small black bug (not sure what kind) on the countertop. We got rid of it and didn't pay it any mind. Throughout the stay we started to notice little things here and there. There are cute little decorative figurines all over the cabin. However, they all had a noticeable layer of dust and didn't look like they'd been dusted in quite some time. If dusting isn't a regular housekeeping task, I'd recommend removing the figurines altogether. There is also a heart shaped jacuzzi tub surrounded by a tile finish. Some of the tiling along the base of the step leading up to the tub was cracked or missing. By day 2, we had picked up a few groceries and had food in the kitchen. We were starting to notice more of those little bugs on the kitchen counter and had to be diligent about bagging up any food left out (we didn't just roll up the open bag of chips and cookies, we tied it in a grocery bag to prevent anything from getting in). The final night of our stay, we were cleaning up and loading the dishwasher. When I opened the dishwasher door, I saw 2 more of the bugs crawling around the inside. At this point, we felt it was pointless to call maintenance since we were leaving in the morning. We did leave feedback on voice-mail when we called to check out so hopefully they were able to spray before the next guests. The location and views were really nice. There are floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the mountains, nice for the views if not for the outside smudges. Decent stay, would've been great with those few adjustments."
