"Excellent condo/clean, stocked & sounds of ocean
Pro’s: Condo is clean, well stocked and the view and sound of the ocean, can’t be beat.
Con’s: I contacted the management a month before arriving to make sure the unit had beach chairs and a cooler. If not, I would buy one in town where it would be less expensive. I was told there were both. As it turned out there was no cooler. I contacted the management and they told me that I was given wrong information. Through a process of emailing and texts, they dropped a small cooler off 2 days into our stay. This was great! What was not great, is giving me a bad review for it! If you give information to a renter that is spending $1,000’s on their lodging, I don’t think requesting a $25 cooler, should not be a hostile situation. "

"Beautiful Views and a Comfortable Stay
We were traveling with a group of five and needed at least two bedrooms while staying within a budget. We ultimately chose this unit because of the ocean view, knowing we wouldn’t be spending much time indoors due to our packed itinerary.

The view was absolutely worth it. Watching the waves while drinking coffee each morning and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean every night was incredible. The beds were comfortable, and overall the unit met our needs well.

The unit itself felt somewhat dated, and as someone who notices cleaning details, I felt it could use a little extra attention in areas like ceiling corners and parts of the bathrooms. These weren’t major issues, but they stood out to me.

One thing to note is that there is no air conditioning. I didn’t think much about that when booking, but it wasn’t a problem for us. The ocean breeze kept the unit comfortable at night. We were rarely there during the hottest part of the day, so I can’t really comment on daytime temperatures.

My biggest criticism is the communication. Upon arrival, I texted the number provided for the hosts with a question about parking. We had very limited cell service and it took quite a while just to get connected to the Wi-Fi. Despite sending the message on our first day, I never received a response during our three-night stay. Thankfully, we were able to figure out the parking situation ourselves, but it would have been concerning if we’d had a more urgent issue.

Overall, the incredible ocean views were the highlight of this property and the main reason we would consider staying here again. While there are a few areas that could be improved, the location, views, and comfortable accommodations made for an enjoyable stay."

"Million Dollar View
If we ever have the good fortune to come to Kauai again, I would rent this exact condo. The view was truly astounding. You could see both sunset and sunrise, and if sit in the center of the balcony, you can't even tell you have neighbors. We had everything we needed, except AC, but we knew that going in. The area feels so safe we walked around at night several times to enjoy the stars while listening to the ocean. The unit is spacious, very clean and very comfortable, even the beds."

"Mellow and Comfrotable
Easy to check in and check out. Clean. No surprises. Right on the cliffs above the water. We listened to waves and chickens all day and night. Sat on the patio and read. Close to everything we needed to get to, but then again, it's a small island. Makes us want to buy a condo in the same facility, will definitely stay here again."

"Wonderful views, and Ocean Roar
We arrived at night, so the views were a fantastic surprise in the morning. We loved hearing the waves crash on the cliffs below. We felt the location was wonderful, and safe, and just minutes to Hanalei. Parking was less than 100 feet away from the front door. The unit has been partially updated with granite counters and new appliances. Plenty of linens and some beach towels and even two camp chairs for the beach.
Some areas need some love; The guest bath light fixture and tub are rusty. The sliding door screen handle was broken and hanging, so I went to the hardware store to get what was needed to repair for less that $2. The front door deadbolt receiver needs some repair, it works, but looks shaky. Some areas were not dusted. Don't know when it was used last before us, but it smelled a little musty when we arrived."

Nice condo and nice complex. The condo was well stocked and a good size. Views were beautiful as described. There were quite a few bugs in the condo and the property management wasn’t always responsive when I called them.

"Beautiful ocean front stay
This rental is in a wonderful location! Gorgeous ocean views from both bedrooms, you can hear the waves crashing anytime windows are open. Amazing bird life and activity. The rental seems old and has some wear and tear (especially the lānai and lānai furniture) but to us the location made up for it. With a little TLC this place would be absolutely phenomenal. "

"So perfect!
The view was absolutely amazing! Condo was clean and surprisingly large, with a nice quiet desk in the back bedroom for when I had to work in the mornings. The grocery store is close, Hanalei is a short drive. We saw whales from the deck and albatross flying and other little birds came to sit on the rail and entertain us."

"Outstanding location for enjoying the view and sound of the ocean
We usually avoid ground level units but this one has an unobstructed view and a lanai above ground level. It is possible to walk below the lanai but no one did so while we were there so it was very private. The proximity to the ocean was delightful. It is furnished with 3 double-size beds with two of the beds in the master bedroom. The windows are well designed to catch the breezes and the temperature was comfortable during our visit."

"Great Princeville Stay
Alii Kai 3103 is a nice two bedroom condo with a clear view of the Pacific, perhaps forty feet below. The unit is not overly fancy, and there are places where the rust has a foothold, but it was perfect for us. Well equipped kitchen, good washer and dryer, nice shower in the master bath. Oddly, there is no mail service, which was a problem with Amazon, but the property manager accepted the packages for us. I'd go back."

"Lovely condo and location!
We loved our stay at Alii Kai rm 3103! Beautiful condo and view. Our only complaint was that only 1 burner was working on the stove while we were there, and they weren't able to get it fixed. When we checked in, one burner wouldn't come on, one knob wouldn't turn, and one was missing a knob altogether. Since we had brought food and planned to cook all of our meals, this was not only a nuisance, but caused us to need to eat out more as our meals required more than one burner at a time (and we assumed the condo would have that). We did request some sort of discount to make up for that, but we never heard anything back, even though we were told that we would. Other than that, I would highly recommend this condo!"

"Look Elsewhere- MOLD
Gorgeous views, updated bathroom and kitchen but that is as good as it gets. Outdated living room furniture has spots of mildew and mold on cushions, carpet is old, mildewy and sticky to the feet. Stayed here for three nights and girlfriend had burning and itchy eyes most likely from moldy furniture. Coffee maker in operable, toaster only works on half of one side, broken straps on Old beach chairs. This place needs a serious makeover, for your own health please look elsewhere!! Evan, at property management was zero help with TV cable issues. Still waiting for his promised call back"

"Cliffside beauty in Princeville
Over the course of two weeks, my family stayed at four different locations across two Hawaiian islands. This condo had the best view of anywhere we stayed. It is worth it to stay here simply for having this balcony right by a cliff with 180 degree views off the north coast of Kauai. Words can't describe how beautiful it was.

The unit itself was spacious for my family of five. It was very clean and well-maintained, and the property manager did a great job providing everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and it was helpful to have the washer and dryer. The unit was really hot when we arrived, but once we were able to open it up and get a cross breeze, things cooled down quickly.

One thing I want to point out that is hard to see from the listing is the set-up of the bedrooms. The room shown with two queen beds was designed as the master bedroom for the unit. As such, the master bathroom is directly off of that bedroom, that bedroom has a vanity, there is more closet space, etc. The bedroom that is shown with a queen by itself and that I figured was the master is a lot smaller and across the hall from a smaller, not as nice bathroom. Deal breaker? No. But it was annoying to me as the mom in a family of all boys."

"Ocean view forever
The Condo is on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
WE saw and photographed Green Sea turtles from our windows. There is a turtle cave below the cliffs. Can be dangerous to get to and waves can be rough. We saw and filmed spinner dolphins attacking a school of fish, jumping out of the water from our balcony. Everything in condo worked and a large number of cooking utensils. Unit was clean and had extras, i.e. a fishing pole- boogie board, and chairs for beach. Parking was easy and right out front. The building is number 3. The building is the last building on right. The GPS will tell you its sooner and to your left. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was great. Would stay again and would recommend to others.

"Amazing ocean views!!
We stayed in this condo for 2 months. It is Probably the closest location (for a condo) to the ocean that you will get here. My husband and I referred to it as the cruise ship with a balcony. Really mesmerizing!! The unit is very private, and comfortable. On the older side though. We did not use the pool, for the water was quite cold. We have booked this unit again for next year. Also, the rental staff was wonderful. Very helpful with any issues, or questions that we had. Would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a little peace, and tranquility."

"Big wave Panarama!
I thought the view was wonderful! Overall, it was a very good trip. The unit needs a large flat screen TV in the living room for sporting events such as the Super Bowl. The mattress on the bed in the master bedroom nearest to the window could either use a much firmer mattress, or, at minimum, have a plywood sheet cut and put under the mattress. Many of your renters are older and have lower back problems. Housekeeping was quite good, but next year I would like to be able to set the dates for these several mid stay cleanings rather than the housekeeper coming When it is convenient for her."

"Soothing sounds of the Ocean
Lovely ocean view condo in a quiet complex.
Well appointed with all supplies and beach toys needed. Only caveats would be: beds are quite firm,almost uncomfortable; TVs are difficult to operate unless you are a real techy; (who needs 4 remotes?) the small bathroom needs a grab bar in the tub shower, it's a little slippery to get out. Overall a lovely place to stay."

"Beautiful rental condo in Princeville
When we got to the rental apartment, it was late night in a raining day in late Aug. To my surprise, the apartment is directly facing the ocean in north. The sounds of wave made us so exited. The access to the room was smoothly. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The big kitchen was equipped with all necessary requirements. The owner provided a lot towers and beach stuff. The location was the best. Only several minutes driving would reach queen’s bath. You could also discover your own secrete beach. If there is a suggestion, I would say bugs were there in rooms. But it did not bother us too much. "

Never before have we been limited on how much toilet paper ( 1 1/2 rolls per bathroom) and paper towels (1 roll) we could use. If we ran out, we had to buy for ourselves. No beach towels provided. Unit was NOT equipped with air conditioning. Parking was convenient. View was breathtaking."

"Unbelievable view !!
The view from the balcony and all the windows was unbelievably beautiful. Completely private and surrounded by ocean on all sides. Couldn’t ask for better. The condo was clean and well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Temperature was comfortable no need for AC. No problems with any part of the experience. Would definitely stay here again. "
