CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to your arrival date a voucher for a future stay will be issued in the amount of the deposit less the reservation fee for use for a future stay within 365 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). "Perfect vacation cabin for large family!
June 2025. Our family of 7 adults and 7 children very much appreciated our stay at Diamond in the Rough. The 3 story cabin was spotless and kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfortable! We stayed four nights and bears walked by on two occasions which was thrilling to see. Game room and theater were popular. We needed to buy an undedicated Roku remote to stream in movies. Jacuzzi was clean. Close to Gatlinburg on windy roads. Near the arts community. We hope to return and pick the same cabin! Thank you!"

"Extended Family Vacation
Our family of 12 stayed five nights in Diamond in the Rough. We had four vehicles and it was a little tricky for parking. We made it work but we weren't positive we parked where we were suppose to.

The third floor was very warm in the late afternoon, early evening. If the cabin had blinds in the game room it would help. Maintenance did come out promptly and looked at it.

The kitchen was stocked well with pans, utensils, cups, bowls and plates. The ice maker ran out of ice one day and it took a while to refill.

The decks are spacious with rockers on each level. A corn hole game was available to use. We used the grill with no trouble.

We needed more pillow cases and they came promptly. When we asked for more toilet paper we were told we needed supply it ourselves. Which surprised me, I assumed they'd ant to control the type of toilet paper that went into their septic system. I did pack extra trash bags, paper towels, dish soap and laundry soap.

The drive to town wasn't too bad. About 15 mins. Walmart and Aldi was a 20-30 minute drive. Food City with a Starbucks was about a 10 minute drive. "

"Roomy Cabin in a Great Location
We really enjoyed our stay at Diamond in the Rough! From the booking process until the end of our stay, we were informed on what to expect, check in / out process and given area information which was extremely helpful. The cabin was in a great location and had plenty of space for our group. The Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and enough dishes making it easy to cook our meals. Kids loved the pool table and movie room. We would returned to this cabin in the future!"

""Cabin's Looking Rough"
First, nothing I say in these comments are directed at the Elk Springs Resort management company. I have been a guest at their resort for over 15 years and they have been nothing but helpful, courteous and professional. These comments are directed to the private owners of this cabin.

We stayed at this cabin 3/14/25 - 3/18/25 for a family reunion. We have stayed at numerous cabins @ Elk Springs over the years and this was probably the worst cabin we've stayed in. The furniture and appliances are very outdated (1980's-1990's) and not well maintained. The wooden floors and most of the wooden furniture are scuffed up pretty bad and in need of repair or replacement. The rooms with King beds have very firm and very uncomfortable mattresses. The inside front door frame has been scratched and splintered from dogs clawing when their owners are away. One of the downstairs bedrooms has severe rust and mold growing on the HVAC ceiling vent. Many of the wooden window blinds in the main floor windows are broken and have been chewed on and torn up by dogs that previously stayed there over time. They need to be replaced immediately. The hot tub cover has no fastners to secure the cover to the tub, so when the wind blows, the cover is blown open and leaves and other outside debris gets inside the tub as happened numerous times while we were there.

I undertsand that this is a pet friendly cabin and things get damaged by dogs but the owners should take a portion of the thousands of dollars they make off this cabin in one year and update this cabin and replace damaged furnishings.

We were very shocked in the condition of this cabin. I said the name should be changed from "Diamond in the Rough" to "Cabin's Looking Rough". "

"Christmas in Gatlinburg
Our family of 11 stayed in the "Diamond in the Rough" cabin for the weekend to celebrate Christmas together. It was a wonderful experience! The cabin is beautiful and has amazing amenities! We enjoyed the hot tub, theater room, game room, and king size beds! The arcade wasn't working, but the resort called to check on us and when I mentioned it, a serviceman came and fixed it within the hour! We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone with a large group. "

"Wonderful Family Vacation at Diamond in the Rough
We chose this cabin due to its location and that the rental is pet friendly. The cabin ended up being in a wonderful location with easy access and lots of parking. "Nice Cabin
The cabin was great. Plenty of room for the family. The cabin was clean. Enjoyed the theater-that was a plus. A member of the service team check in to make sure things were going smoothly. Great location-10 minutes from downtown. Limited parking-which they did mention. Overall, five stars ⭐️. I definitely will be booking again."

"Mountain Getaway
Very nice. Spacious million-dollar + property. Game room was a major hit with the whole family.

Fully stocked kitchen. A couple of minor issues (including ants in one bathroom) but maintenance came out same day & fixed. Floors were a bit dirty but everything else was great.

Away from the traffic but convenient to both Gatlinburg & PF. "

"Diamond in the Rough Review
Everything was great at the cabin, the only issue was some of the electronics seemed outdated and somewhat hard to use. The projector room had wall instructions that said use HDMI 1 but we found out it was 2. Also there was only a stand alone BD player in the theater room with no apps on it like Netflix. Also. The projector was misaligned on the Screen as well. But this was a small issue for the overall trip. We will be back for sure."

"Good Stay
We Loved the layout of the entire cabin. It was very spacious. We would have liked some extra blankets. Also, the floor in the kitchen was soft in places. The game room was very cool, but the hockey table did not work correctly and the pucks were broken. Also the projector did not work for half of our stay. "

"For the money not the greatest. The view was beautiful.
It was okay. The beds were horrible. My husband is still trying to recover. You could feel the bed springs on several beds. The overall place was very dusty and we have several with allergies. The top floor bathroom was nasty with hair in the shower. Internet was horrible and remotes didn't have batteries. The furniture needs updating for sure. "

"Disgusting
This was by far the worst cabin that I have ever stay in the last 15 years that I have been coming to the Smokey Mountains. It was disgusting, not clean at all and infested with roaches. I will just leave it as this place needs to be closed deep cleaned and deep exterminated."

This cabin was gorgeous! We stayed here for girls trip. Theater room felt like we was actually at the Movie Theater. Staff with Elk Springs called to make sure check in was good and let us know to call if we needed anything. We rent cabins a few times a year this has been the only place that has ever reached out to check on their guest. I thought that was a huge plus! "

"Diamond in the rough
I have stayed at elk numerous times in all different cabins, this cabin by far was the worst. We decided to go with a pet friendly cabin this time the carpets had stains. Not very clean, then we had the experience of squirrels in the house, I got a 5 bedroom so we all had a room and we wound up losing 2 nights of sleep and slept on couches. I called to let them know about the rodents inside our rooms and they did nothing. I called 2 days in a row, no maintenance and no call back the second day. Don't think I'll be going back after all these years. "

"Perfect for 11
Just a few things that would have been helpful
More hooks in the bathroom, there was nowhere to hang wet bathroom towels or towels/swimsuits outside by the hot tub.
You need rugs, one long one by the hot tub door, it’s slippery and dangerous. You need another large rug by the front door, in and outside.
Grilling tools, we had to buy a spatula (which we left there for the next group)
The area rug in the living room smells, replace it.
Label all the switches in the main areas and update the instructions in the theater room, it doesn’t even have the right brands. And, just pick up the garbage every two days, especially for groups our size, and you should supply more tp, dishwasher tablets, sponge and garbage bags. Adjust those supplies based on group size and time of stay. Guests should not have to worry about that stuff.
The lighting in the kitchen is terrible making it difficult to cook at night, even replacing the bulb with a brighter one would be helpful. The kitchen towel that was hanging in the sink smelled like mold and needs to be replaced.
Other than that, it was great. Plenty of towels, it was clean and lots of extra blankets. I’d recommend this cabin. Thanks!

"Best Cabin
This was one of the best cabins we stayed in, it was more than enough space it was overall great. The location was wonderful just a few wavy roads lol. The movie room was our favorite. My only one problem which wasn’t really a problem was just make sure the cleaners remove hair from the towels after they clean them. We definitely will be using this cabin again when we return to Tennessee. 10/10 definitely recommend this place or any other cabins by Elk Springs"

There wasn’t good parking for this property. It was off to the side or out away from the cabin and the traffic could drive between my vehicle and the cabin just to get to another rental. On the second day we found dead roaches in the movie theater room. The arcade game didn’t work and if we played pool or air hockey the noise traveled downstairs where it kept anyone from going to bed early. The kitchen floor was soft and I could feel it move under my feet next to the kitchen sink. The bedroom lights didn’t work, so we used the lighting from the bathroom to see into the bedroom. Also, the coach pillows and living room rug smelled like dog pee. Not recommended. "

"Nice visit
We arrived early and were told we could check in early. So we tried getting in with combination they gave us. It would not work but we called and they quickly gave us a new number that worked. The house was roomy and had all of the necessities needed. Some things weren’t perfect but the few things that were wrong they sent someone out to fix right away. The view was better than expected! "

"Stay at Diamond in the Rough
The property is in a nice location. The cabin was not cleaned well. The fridge, fans, and kitchen area including cupboards, dishes, silverware, etc., were dirty. The cabin is pet-friendly but had dog hair all over the living room. The emails from Elk Springs said there was cable in the theater room however there wasn't and when we contacted them to ask about it, we received no response. We did request an extra garbage pick up that was done timely. The grill could not be used to cook on because it was so dirty it would not work properly. "

"A little disappointed
We have always had a good experience with booking cabins in Gatlinburg. This cabin was beautiful but needed to be cleaned better. There were stains in the toilet, garbage under the bed and hairballs in the closet. It was a little disappointing that the game machine was not for guest and you could only play DVD's in the movie theater with no movies in the house. The location was ok but probably will book another cabin next time."

"Family vacation to the Smokies
We chose this cabin online because it had enough beds to accommodate our large group and it also allowed pets. The cabin was beautiful and had enough room for everyone to spread out, have their own space, then gather together when we wanted to. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. It’s just a quick trip to the grocery store which is nice also.
We had some issues with the wifi/router and the movie projector when we first arrived. There was a bad storm the night before and I think it knocked the router offline. It took a few hours but all issues were fixed that same evening. At first the help desk staff though we were just unfamiliar with using the projector correctly but it also had an issue that maintenance needed to fix.
My few complaints are the windows needed cleaned. With beautiful views like that, it’s nice to have clean windows to enjoy them from inside. But we definitely spent time outside on the decks to enjoy the views as well.
Also we weren’t given enough dishwasher tabs for the dishwasher. We had a 5 bedroom cabin, with 14 people staying and only 2 dishwasher tabs. All other supplies were adequate.
We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. This was the first large family trip we’ve been able to take all together. Now we are ready to plan another trip! "

"Okay Stay
Cabin was beautiful; however, very dirty. Upon entering the floors had clearly not been cleaned. There were crumbs of food and dead bugs. The whole place had a very stale smell. We immediately went to the store and purchased our own cleaning supplies. There was so much pet hair from a previous guest that our black socks were white when we went to bed. We vacuumed hair of the couch three times. We had ants throughout the cabin. My husband woke up to one crawling on him in bed and found a live roach in the kitchen. We called the management to report this and they offered to send someone to clean the next day, but we had done so already and felt it would be disruptive to our vacation to have them coming the following day. They also offered to have the exterminator come again; however, with children and dogs in the house with us, we felt that was not safe to their health. Management was very responsive and the cabin was beautiful and we had a wonderful time despite the above; however, for the money we spent, we expected cleanliness, especially in the midst of COVID. I felt as though we should have walked in and been able to smell that cleaning products had been used, rather than having a stale smell greet us, especially as they had texted to notify us when the cabin had been cleaned. "

"Annual Family Vacation
Very comfortable for our family of 16.We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the rockers. The hot tub got a lot of use as well as the game room. We did have a toilet leak but it was taken care of quickly. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials. I was worried about the stairs before we arrived, but they are wide and not steep.

"Lack of cleanliness.
The rental wasn't terrible. It lacked the essentials like comfort and dated bedding. Stayed in Heavenly Heights a few years ago and had a wonderful experience which prompted this rental. It didn't have a thorough cleaning and we also had bugs in the rental and they did not offer any type of compensation on our stay."

Unfortunately this was probably the worst cabin we have stayed in the Gatlinburg area. We will not be using this cabin again. This cabin was dirty with dog hair when we arrived,mold in the bathroom from the exhaust fan not working,non slip on the porch is missing very slippery when wet,rocking chairs broken and held together with tape,porch had lumber hanging from over head, air hockey table did not work, only one poor stick had a tip, driving distance is not what is in the description. "

"Very mixed review, but great vacation!
The cabin was wonderful as far as size, location, and comfort. Management was great, very responsive and timely the 2 times we needed to have maintenance. The cabin however, was not clean. Under the sofas, top of fridge, windows, all looked like they hadn't been wiped in months, even the floors throughout were bad. We would wipe something up with a paper towel and the towel was black. The upstairs shower had a rim at our eye level and there was old soap and even two pink fake fingernails left over from a previous guest. Window blinds all dusty, ceiling above the stove was grimy. The cabin really needed a thorough do over. With that being said I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again but will remind management about what we found last time and ask for special cleaning. "

The rental was everything we imagined and more. There was so much room and entertainment we enjoyed days not even leaving the premises. The view was amazing and we even saw bears. The weren’t even bothered by our presence and did not approach the cabin in anyway. We loved every minute of it. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials we needed to prepare a family meal for 15. We had plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. The night breeze was perfect for the jacuzzi located right on the cabin porch. The theater room even had a pull out couch which made movie watching so relaxed and enjoyable. I highly recommend this cabin for family get aways. Stores and entertainment outside the cabin were 10 to 20 min away. Very convenient when traveling with a large group"

"Smokey Mountain Family Escape
Management was excellent, quick to respond to any needs or concerns that arose (which were minimal). Large spacious cabin with ground level walk in for those who have difficulty with stairs. Had all the basics necessary for a comfortabe stay. The game room was priceless , escpecially for the one rainy day during our stay. Kept the kids and adults entertained. Was able to utilize the theater room for movie viewing. THe migrating millipeds were our only concern, they invaded the lower floor, but this is a cabin in the woods so bugs are to be expected on occasion. Would recommend to anyone needing the space that this cabidn extends for large families or groups. Would definetly stay again. Cabin was also conveniently located to Smokey Mountain National park, Gatlinburg , Pigeon Forge, Townsend, as well as Fox Fire Farms ( WHICH WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND). THanks for a great family vacation."

"Not a clean cabin
Elk Springs customers service was great. The cabin Diamond in the Rough was okay. The place was dirty, dog hair everywhere, the rug in the living room was nasty and not cleaned, the carpet in the main bedroom was nasty, had dog pee stains, dead lady bugs everywhere, the couches where old and worn down, the arm of the one had a hole. The comforters on the beds where not clean, it looked to have dog slobber or something else on them. The rocking chair by the door was broken. For the amount of money that was paid to stay there, I would have expected a cleaner, updated furniture cabin. Elks Springs did offer to send someone back to come clean but I had already started cleaning. "

there were 11 adults that met there only 7 slept. It was big and roomy enough for all of us with the exception of seating. 6 chairs at dinning table,4 stools at kitchen island. There were four more up 18 steps at game table. So not everyone can sit to eat and you have to carry chairs around to play games upstairs. I couldn't figure out the movie projection and probably needed some extra cords. "

"Unhappy with rental
Not that great. Washer was full of dirty water when we arrived. They did send a repairman but he could not fix because he needed a part. When we went to use the grill out on the deck it was dirty as well & we had to clean it before grilling. There was a pole lamp in the living room that was broken. I could tell it was not cleaned very well . The down stairs toilet moved every time you got off of it & make a loud noise. It was not bolted to the floor dry well. We asked for a partial refund & were denied both by Elk Springs & Airbnb. Not using either place ever again . "

Pleasant vacation. Great quiet location.
The cabin could use a more thorough cleaning. Inside the closets and under the beds had not been cleaned in some time. The grill was covered with grease and grime. Overall the cabin was well stocked, plenty of plates, cups, glasses and utensils, towels, etc. It could use more than two dishwasher tablets for a five day reservation. There were hundreds of small worms around the hot tub area coming into the basement but that is not the owner's fault. An exterminator did come by the adjacent cabin and stopped to spray for them.
Overall, very pleasant, relaxing location. The check out message asking for certain items be done (start dish washer, etc) arrived after we have already left. A bear came to check the neighbor's garbage cans (100 feet away) as we were loading the car to leave and it was not phased by our shouts or car horns. "

This review will pertain to the 5 bedroom cabin "Diamond in the Rough". On their website they only post the positive reviews. My family, 10 of us, were extremely excited about going to Gatlinburg and staying at this cabin after reading the reviews posted on their website. Once we got to the cabin we were extremely let down. I will list some of the issues here. The cabin wasn't cleaned well. There was trash left behind. For example there was a used bar of soap left in one of the showers. Too much to list past that one. The TV in the living room couldn't have been bigger than a 20". One of the smallest TVs that I have ever seen. It was laughable. The lighting was terrible. There were extremely dim lights all over the home. However the biggest issue that we had was that the bottom floor was completely overtaken by centipedes. Alive and dead. It was terrible. Thousands of centipedes. 3 of the 5 bedrooms were downstairs so that means 3 couples had to deal with them. I attached a photo for reference. I never write reviews unless it is absolutely a terrible experience. Well it was just that. I hope this helps someone."

initially trying to find my specific cabin and log in and get the access code was a little frustrating because the property has low internet connection through out and I could not get the information I needed when I arrived. however the customer service representative was very helpful and gave me everything over the phone. Cabin was clean, Jacuzzi was clean. we just had a very bad centipede/ bug issue downstairs in the room and hallway. they responded fast and Steve's pest control however the issue was the entire duration of our stay."

"Perfect family getaway for 10 Adults, 10 children (ages1-9)
The cabin was in a great location. We were tucked into the woods with magnificent views, but 10 minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg. Dollywood, Anakeesta, Island at Pigeon Forge, is the many hiking trails, museums, aquarium all within 30 minutes. Cabin was 3 floors of fun for all. Theater room huge hit, pool and air hockey used a lot. We turned heat down on hot tub and that served as a “swimming” area for a couple of little ones.
One negative...MILLEPEDES! They freaked out some of the children and they would not sleep in their rooms. My husband and I had at least 4 extra on our floor every night.:( Guess it was a tough year for them, management did come out every day to clean up, spray in and outside."

"We loved Diamond in the Rough!
We were living our dream during our 6 night stay at the Elk Springs Resort. The property was wonderful and with 5 adults and 4 children, the 3 floors easily fit all of us and allowed everyone to do their own thing without crowding each other. The kids adored the game room and we all loved the theater room. The beds were comfortable with plenty of room and bathrooms for all. From morning coffee on the deck to cooking steaks on the grill, it just couldn't be any better. Our grandkids kept giving us hugs and saying "thank you, thank you!" We loved it and being so close to the Park, the Arts Community, shopping, was a big plus. The refrigerator was not working properly when we arrived and maintenance was out right away to bring us a substitute frig while they worked on ours. They had to replace the refrigerator, but kept calling to give us progress updates even when we were out exploring. Great customer service"

"Nice Cabin
Overall, a nice cabin and a good location for a 'safe' stay in the winter in case it snows. The drive up to the cabin is pretty easy. The view wasn't bad and the grassy areas around the cabin were great for our dog. The beds were comfortable. The couch in the main room is definately showing wear and tear and the TVs in the common areas were really too small for the rooms. Better towels would be nice - they really felt like sand paper when drying off. And brighter lights in the kitchen would be nice - it was almost too dark to cook. But overall, we had a great time and the cabin fit our group of 6 very easily."

Our son decided on a destination wedding in the Smokey Mountains. We needed a large enough cabin for 15 family members. This was perfect! Clean and cozy. Besides the picture perfect wedding, we enjoyed ice skating, snow tubing, shopping down town Gatlinburg, and especially enjoyed a few hikes in the Smokey Mountains National Park. It snowed the day we arrived- Gorgeous!!! We also enjoyed the view of the evening sun setting over the mountainside from our front deck and star gazing at night with a cup of hot chocolate. "Last Fling Before the Ring

"Beautiful View
Staying in the cabin was a lot of fun, it was very spacious and the theater room was great for watching movies with my family. It was a little tricky getting to the cabin due to it's location and us not being used to small roads but after a few trips it was no problem at all. The location was perfect for going to the mountains and a grocery store was conveniently available close by. We had an amazing time, although the air hockey table was broken when we arrived the maintenance team did their best to quickly repair it."

We loved the cabin and amentites. The only complaints I have is the fridge didn't work properly at first we had to unplug so we lost food that we purchased.
Also they only provide 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom and 1 roll of paper towels. no dust pan or clears of any kind. So if you book bring toilet paper for sure. Other than that the layout was nice and offered privacy for each floor level. parking was crowded with neighbors but was workable. "

"Cabin was Ok!!
Me and my family stayed at this cabin and unlike the cabin my mom, grand mom and aunts stayed in itbhad a few things I had to call office about. I needed a few more towels that they texted me and told me I couldn’t, lightbulbs were out. Knives were extremely dull, I didn’t get in jacuzzi myself but my son did and said it was “kind of slimy”. The jacuzzi also has a very mildew smell that came off of those who DID get in and the smell stayed in their swim gear. The freezer did not seem to be programmed to a very high setting because it took a long time to freeze popsicles. Last but not least , we had a few issues getting the TVs working in 2 bedrooms maintenance was called and took quite a while to come back for that and simply replacing a bulb and s family member eventually got the TVs working correctly. I also do not like the fact that more garbage bags are not given and that our garbage did not get replaced one time during our 3 day stay and it was coming out of the cage. The family getaway itself was nice and the cabin was descent but sometimes it’s the littlest things that can frustrate a trip and those are a few listed above."

"Beyond expectations
We are extremely positively surprised by Diamond in the Rough. Sometimes pictures can be deceiving but the cabin looked even better in reality. The house was very clean and very spacious. The beds were comfortable.The only minor comment that I would make is that there weren't enough plates for one meal for 13 people so we ended up having to buy paper plates which I don't find very environmental-friendly. Overall our stay was fantastic and we are planning to come back next year."

"Family Reunion
Wonderful cabin full of room and opportunities for lots of fun. However, the pictures online do not show how close the cabins are to each other. No room for the children to play outside by this cabin. Parking was a huge headache. We had a problem with spiders. We reported having a huge black widow spider outside the front door area and many other spiders. Someone finally came and got rid of the black widow but did not spray or even sweep away all of the other spiders around the cabin. It was a huge concern with our young grandchildren. "

"HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE, Don't waste your money
The cabin was not well maintained! We stayed in a pet friendly cabin that had multiple urine stains, dog hair in the comforters, door that we scratched up, tears in the couch, tears in comforters, yellow stains flat pillows, dirty dishes. We asked for clean linens, a refund or to switch cabins. We were offered none of the above. We had to go buy pillows, blankets and one of the families would not stay at all."

"Poor maintenance planning
Overall stay was great however management scheduled a maintenance in the middle of our stay. The work lasted 3 hours which consisted of a lot of noise and them running in and out. "Nice Stay But Management Not Accomodating. Will Not Stay Again
We were very excited to spend our family weekend together due to me having to work Thanksgiving holiday. For a party of nine the space was perfect. The check-in was great, and communication up until that point was amazing. The problem that we had, was the fact that when we arrived there was no heat upstairs! No heat in the mountains especially at night is terrible. We realized the first night we stayed that it was out. The office called the next morning to find out how our stay was, which by the way was a nice touch. They sent 3 technicians out the same day, and no one was able to repair the heat. We received a final call around 7 pm, asking us to relocate to another cabin. This would have been fine if it was just 2 people. This however it was 9. Remember, I had worked Black Friday in addition to my other 2 jobs. After unpacking all of our items, Thanksgiving dinner included. We were to exhausted to move, and we were there for only 3 nights we didn't want to spend a couple of our hours packing and unpacking. Instead of spending our quality time together. When asked what other accommodations could be made. We we were told the only choice was to move. Considering this was not my 1st stay at this resort, as a family we were prepared to book our next trip, however after not being fairly accommodating we have decided to stay at another resort. "

"Amazing family get together
The place was beautiful and roomy. The setting was perfect and the views were amazing. Unfortunately the advertised rocking chairs on the deck did not match so sitting out as a group was not an option. The game room was well utilized and there was plenty of sleeping space. Would have like update televisions to be able to use playstation but this was minor in relation to all of the amenities. Will definitely plan to return."

"Nice view
Nice cabin with a nice view. The cabin interior was very dated. The TV's were the old large box type of long ago. The cabin was not particularly that clean. Blinds, baseboards etc. need a really good cleaning. The heat upstairs was programmed not to go past 68 degrees it appeared so on the night that is snowed the upstairs bedroom was pretty chilly. It would have been nice had it had a closet or armoire in that room if it is marketed as a bedroom."

"A Great House
Our group of 13, 4 adults and 9 children, fit well in this house. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of things to do and places to hang out. The theater room was a hit. The kitchen could use more plates, bowls, and utensils. There were only 13 plates, 9 bowls, and about 20 spoons, but a large number of pots and pans. The dining room table and island bar sat a total of 11 people. We used two game room chairs to accommodate our entire group for meals. It was a short drive to the grocery store and downtown Gatlinburg. This is a great house. "

"Great stay!
It was my first time in Gatlinburg and first time in a cabin. I had a great time and enjoyed the cabin and the wonderful views for sure!! I was really bummed out to find out that there wasn't a Elk Springs Resort pool though. Also the railing on the 3rd floor balcony was extremely loose BUT I was able to send a texted late in the evening and management was at the cabin bright an early the next morning! Some of the roads before getting to the resort were scary but resort roads were fine! Can't wait to go back!"

Cabin was very nice, loved the location. Wish there was a better direct view of the mountains. We were only disappointed in the lack of furniture in the cabin. It sleeps 16 people, yet in the main area, there is only one sofa to seat 5. Very inconvenient. Same in theater room; seating only for 6. Staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Add some furniture and the cabin would be excellent!"

"Enjoyed Our Stay!
We had a great time at Diamond in the Rough. We had a big extended family stay for a couple of nights, there were plenty of beds to accomodate our large group and the cabin was very clean and spacious. The only downfall is that the kitchen is not fully stocked so if you are planning on cooking you might want to check it out before planning on your meals and the coffee machine did not work for us.We had a lot of children with us and you can hear everything, the walls are thin, just an FYI but I think most cabins are that way. Other than that the cabin was great and it was the perfect location for going into Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mtns. We would definitely return!"

"Perfect in every way!
Since this was our first visit to Pigeon Forge, we really had no idea where to stay. We hit the jackpot with the fabulous cabin a perfect location with the most picturesque mountain view we could wish for! There could be no hotel that would be more cozy , luxurious, clean and welcoming with the best quality of workmanship and furniture then diamond in the rough. And we made so many wonderful memories; the three teenagers found lots to do and we loved the game room and the theater room! Thank you so much for a great experience in the mountains! "Great Cabin
Beautiful Cabin, BUT the floors are so thin. When someone is walking on a floor above you it sounds like a heard of cattle. Cabin was clean. The quality of towels and utensil were below average. When we arrived our code did not work. I called the maintenance line and he just magically appeared!! That was great because it was so cold. All and all a great weekend. Just pick the top floor if you want to sleep!!!"

"Unaccessible
We have asked for accessible property the last 2 years booking and have had to be moved to cabins wasting one day of our 2 last trips ugh....moving on vacation is not my idea of vacation. Ending up in a cabin I did not choose to begin with. the cabins we were moved to were worse then the inaccessible ones we booked initially. As long as the grandparents are along we will select another resort it crucial staff have knowledge about the properties and are not looking a photoshopped pictures to help customers many miles away book a cabin. After several years of being a returning visitor I think I have had my limit. ....every year is something.....hot tubs on the porches with traffic that are noisy acme low water levels, bats with poop covered porches is just not my idea of a relaxing vacation.....point being we have stayed for several years and with each visit the issues are starting to affect our ability to enjoy our vacation. "

"Poor Stay - Poor Customer Service - Poor Follow Up
This is not my first rental of a cabin in the Gatlinburg - but unlike competitors Elk Springs lakes in product quality and customer service. Multiple maintenance issues and cleanliness at a low level. TVs are in desperate need of repair - old tube TVs. Carpeting is stained and generally dirty and in need of replacement. I have called multiple times to resolve - always having to contact Elk Springs to attempt to resolve - to date no resolution. Premium price paid for substandard product. I will never rent there again and My opinion is neither should anyone else. Too many better "

The house was great! Nice layout and plenty of space. The only issues we had with the cabin were the large amount of lady bugs(some dead some alive) in the sleeping rooms and the game room did not have any pieces for the poker table(we were told we had to bring our own) which we were not pre warned. Also it would have been nice to have updated televisions and a way to control the temperature. Downstairs was freezing cold while upstairs was hot! Overall it was a decent experience and we would possibly come back and visit again. "
