We do this every year all around the country and this has been the most perfect house, grounds, layout, owners, we have ever dealt with. The house is so well laid out for a large group of people, who although they love each other, also need to get away from each other sometimes! We were able to bring our new boat and dock it right at the house - that was a great bonus! So much fun tubing and water skiing! Some first timers too! Loved the kitchen as we always cook big meals together. And it was generously stocked and so much fun to cook in. Laura was always responsive when we had a question and she was great to work with. Bedrooms with breathtaking views to wake up to (the master bedroom is REMARKABLE!), a fully-stocked HUGE kitchen, state-of-the art appliances, a dining room table that seats 16 (18?), a home-theater, a bar, countless cozy sitting areas, a hot tub, great lakefront a large lawn for whiffleball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, etc. Great decor and spotlessly clean throughout. If I were to imagine my dream home, this would be it. The PERFECT combination of LOTS to do, and LOTS of opportunity to relax and be comfortable doing nothing. And owners Laura and Jeff Lehner are friendly and accommodating. A text away from "where's the best place for pizza delivery?" or "the dock is underwater" (Jeff was on site an hour later to lift the dock!). In sum, if you are looking to rent a lakehouse for a large group, I can not recommended this property with any more confidence." Views from almost every room in the house, and the views are breathtaking. The home is so beautiful on the inside, the owners did not cut any corners. The beds are beyond comfortable, as is all of the furniture. Every room you walk into it seems there is somewhere convenient to sit and it is comfortable. 4 full bathrooms was great! Not having to bring towels or linens was so convenient, as was the stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, soaps and tp :-)) Even on a rainy day the upper deck is sealed, so you can hang outside on the spacious patio or in the hot tub. It was awesome to have the dock to swim out to and it was the perfect distance. The owners are always responsive and completely accommodating. My family rented in the middle of August and couldn't have asked for more perfect weather! We played in the lake everyday. This house met all of our needs. It is large enough for everyone to have their own space yet for dinner, there's a table for 12! The furnishings and decorating are fabulous, a true NY Mountain house experience. The view is just breathtaking and you see it from every window. We cooked in most nights but did venture out to Lanzi's and the Island Pub, both delicious. Oh we also ate at Pour Jim's, that was good too! We rented a pontoon boat one day and had a small island all to ourselves! Another day we drove to Saratoga Race Track. Northfield is a cute little town for souvenirs. Nice neighbors. Beautiful Home. Gorgeous Vistas. Everything inside you could need. This place was heaven on earth. My family and I were lucky enough to be able to rent this wonderful home for a summer week and plan to do so again next summer. The house is everything that you could want for a large family reunion/gathering. The house sleeps plenty of people in its large bedrooms (4 on the second floor, 1 large room on the 3rd floor that is plenty for all of the kids), the views out of the back of the house on all 3 floors are spectacular. My wife is re-doing our kitchen (after getting a bunch of ideas from this house) and the eating areas are comfy and spacious for everyone. The basement is a nice cool recreation area and the hot tub is great for relaxation. The large flat yard down to the lake is plenty big enough for a volleyball or wiffle ball or kickball game.
