THE CONDO

Nautilus provides private beach access directly from the property to the public beach on Okaloosa Island. No street crossing is required to reach the beach.

- COMPLIMENTARY BEACH SERVICE: Beach service provided by our beach vendor includes two beach chairs and one umbrella with paid stays of 14 days or less from March 1 through October 31. Your setup is guaranteed, but the specific location on the beach is not.
- Vendor Rentals: Kayaks, paddleboards, extra setups and reserved locations can be rented directly from the vendor on the sand.

Payment and Cancellation Policy for booking direct through Nautilus Condominiums - If you booked through an online travel agent (AirBNB, VRBO, etc), the payment and cancellation policy of the platform applies. A $250 advance payment is required at the time of booking for a reservation to be valid. The final balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. If we have not received another form of payment 30 days prior to your check-in date, your credit card will be charged automatically. Cancellation of rentals that are made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will forfeit $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, you will forfeit 100% of the total reservation amount. If renter must shorten their stay within 30 days of arrival or after checked in, no refunds will be provided for the nights not used. Long term guests (28 days or longer) - must pay 1st months rent 60 days prior to arrival and must cancel at least 60 days prior to arrival or will forfeit 100% of total reservation amount. We encourage guests to buy Travel Protection Insurance to protect themselves. Once you are within 30 days of check in there are no moving dates, nor moving units. No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, or cleaning and maintenance concerns. If present and reported, all cleaning or maintenance concerns will be corrected promptly.

"We had a good time staying
We love our stay at Nautilus and this is our second time to stay in this condo. We have a problem though when we got there, the condo will not open with the given code. We arrived after office hour and there is no reception on site. We have to call. It took the agents more than an hour to sort out what to do and finally told us we can get the key just right by the door too with a code. Though we were able to get inside we feel disappointed that we traveled for more than 8 hours and we are tired and looking forward to sit and relax and that happened and it was so hot outside waiting. Also be aware that the bathroom shower by the main bedroom clogged when we were there. We noticed the water was draining too slow and eventually clogged and was not able to use the shower for the night. Glad there is another full bathroom. I gave 4 stars overall because of the issues we encounter. The view was fantastic in this unit though. It was clean and have everything we needed from cooking pots, utensils, beach towels etc. Still highly recommended to book and stay in Nautilus!"

"Million Dollar View!
This was my 3rd girls beach trip stay to Nautilus. We always book a beach front unit. Our unit 1606 this year had everything that we needed and then some! The unit is spotless! We prepared our meals and were astonished at how well equipped the kitchen was. The beds are so comfortable that I am still trying to find the same mattress for my home. Having the backpack chairs, beach towels, beach bag and a cooler was a great addition that started this year. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. I am so glad that we found The Nautilus! It is close to everything that you might need. Having my morning coffee on the wrap around porch, watching the sunrise, is truly the definition of a million-dollar view! "

The condo was so clean ! The views were amazing. Beds firm and comfortable. Plenty of seating inside and out. I’d book again.
The wicker furniture may need to be cleaned / checked for mold/mildew in the master bed. That’s my only complaint. The smell is strong. "

"AMAZING VACATION RENTAL
I have stayed at this condo a couple times now and each time has been just wonderful. The view cannot be beat- waking up in the master to a gorgeous sunrise! The porch is huge and the ice-maker in the unit is so thoughtful! Has everything you need for a great vacation and the master bath upgrade is beautiful. They even accepted a grocery order for me and put it away prior to arrival!! Love this unit and will keep coming back."

The unit was pretty clean, however the furniture is definitely in need of updating..the beds were very uncomfortable & forget about sitting on the living room furniture for an afternoon nap or to watch tv & unwind very old and broken down. Some items available for use in kitchen were not working (blender & margarita machine) balcony furniture old as well but functional. Would stay at property again but not this unit without updates."

The room was very nice and clean. The pool was very small for the size of the hotel. It could have used a bigger pool. The neighbors above us was very loud all night and kelp us up all night, and the neighbors a couple of doors down got in a argument in the wee early hours and the cops came because of them. But the hotel was overall clean and in a nice area. I would stay there again and hope for better neighbors. "

"Great view musty odor
We enjoyed our stay in unit #1606. A musty odor was smelled upon first entering unit. We were able to get rid of it if we left the bedroom door open to the balcony but it returned immediately after shutting door. We believe the source of the odor was the master bedroom dresser. Other than the odor we we enjoyed the condo. It was clean. Management company was nice. We would stay again. "

"Fabulous sea life.
The stay was amazing. We visited while the sun both rose and set close to the shoreline. We awoke to dolphins rolling in the water beyond the second sand bar and manta rays swimming along the shoreline. Osprey,eagles and shorebirds were everywhere.
The amenities are nice for a great beach visit. A pool and great lounging by the waters edge. The unit we stayed in had a wraparound balcony which lead to breathtaking views. The furnishings were not brand new but everything worked and there were lots of kitchen items not necessarily found in rentals. The trash chute so no garbage on the elevators was great."

"Love rhe View
The balcony is the best part of the condo. We spent many hours looking at the white sand and blue water. Once the sun set we gazed at thr stars from the balcony. The unit was cleaned well. We were disappointed to find out that the sliding glass doors from the master bedroom did not open. The washing machine had mildew on the gasket inside the machine. Everything else worked well. We appreciated the beach service. The Nautilus property is very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. A convenience store was a quick walk away. We are looking forward to staying at Nautilus again soon and definitely recommend Nautilus for anyone who wants to enjoy the gulf coast"

"Cockroach Infestation Nightmare :Property Mngmt Unsatisfactory
Paid a month in advance to Nautilus Rentals prior to arrival on May 16th. At that time and no time after were we notified of the roach problems that have repeatedly been treated in the unit, which would have afforded us the opportunity to cancel or reschedule the reservation. We were caught quite off guard when we discovered the bugs in the ice maker, on counter tops, on floor and particularly when lights were turned off! We killed on average 20+ roaches daily before and after the unit was sprayed (by your own staff and then by professional pest control) We have been regular visitors to this unit and other units at Nautilus since 1999 with NO previous issue regarding roaches or bugs for that matter. So in good faith we trusted that the unit would be clean and bug free, especially after opening up after the Pandemic year of COVID-19. An infestation of roaches ism not only a health hazard but additional stress even with something as simple as meal preparation-wash all cooking and eating utensils prior to use, keeping all food within direct eyesight during preparation so as small baby roaches don't crawl from underneath countertop into fresh food being prepared on counter, and even when serving food for the meal making sure it is NOT left on stovetop or counter uncovered. We were unable to store ANY closed condiments or baking preparations in cabinets as we have in the past. And no fresh fruit could we leave out on counter for fear of finding bugs on it. EVERYTHING we brought for cooking had to be kept either in large plastic sealed boxes or stored in the refrigerator. Even cereal had to be put away, in this case stored in freezer because we had no more room in the plastic boxes! Preparing to leave we had to carefully inspect everything we packed away in the kitchen and even in luggage. Our luggage from the trip we kept in our Garage tightly sealed in a large garbage sack for two weeks! Condo Rental Manager was to investigate & get back to us-still hasn't."

I originally rented a one bedroom, but upon check in I was given this 2 bedroom. The condo is clean and well furnished, if slightly dated. The huge balcony and view more than made up for it! We loved our stay and would rent again if we were in this area. Suggestion: provide an iron and hairdryer. I had a hard time getting ready for the wedding without these items. "

"Spring Break
I love the Nautilus - I come at least 2 times a year with the exception of last year. However, i will never rent this unit again, but my favorite unit 1506 was already booked. The owner of 1606 needs to spend some money for much needed repairs and updates. Some of the lamps just did not work, had to add buy light bulbs for the night lights, the beds are stiff as boards and of course just general updating. Wall paper peeling. and put cable TV in the master bedroom. But as I said, i love unit 1506 but will never rent 1606 again. Thank you. "

"Love the condos Hate the beach service
We have stayed there many times and I love the Nautilus but really disappointed in the beach service. Sat next to someone I didn't even know while my family sat in front of me. Asked the beach guy to put our chairs together but he said he couldn't. The day we were leavinlg looked out and there were 5 chairs together. Unhappy to see that. "

Overall we had a great stay. The person in the office was not as friendly as the person we had before when we came there. She was a bit cold and I felt like I was annoying her by having to check in. Everything was AWESOME... from the rental experience itself, to check in, the condo and check out! Everyone there was so helpful! The condo was clean, floor plan was just as it showed during my rental process. I would highly recommend others to stay with the Nautilus! This is my second time staying in these condos and for the second time I’ve had a great experience, the condos are very clean, the gulf view is breath taking, it was a very quiet and comfortable place to stay. The only “negative” things I would have to say is the elevator is quite slow but other than that I only have good things to say about my stay. The staff was very polite and helpful!"

"Marred Beauty
Experience was less than perfect! Location of condo on sixth floor overlooking the beautiful Santa Rosa beach and the Gulf was great! What marred our experience was 1. Hidden mold with the washer gasket tunnel - odor (and spores, I'm sure) permeated the condo when washer opened.
2. Construction beneath our deck (router saw starting at 7:15am!!
What made matters worse was the management attitude. For the mold issue the office manager did have maintenance clean, with high powered bleach, the washer gasket. Improvement was made but mold was still there, as evidence when I swiped with paper towels (lots of pictures) Management did give me a code to another condo to use their washer - and low and behold the mold odor was starting there also ( but no black showed on paper towel. Different washers but poor front door gasket design.
Most annoying, and should have been avoided, was our location that exposed us to the daily weekday construction alarm clock and disturbance to our use of the deck. When booking I had called the front desk, asking questions about two condos - this one and one located on the opposite of the building ( one away from the construction site) Since the construction has been an ongoing project the desk should have informed me of this obstacle to a relaxed vacation.
Management's attitude was that I could call the proper municipal agency to complain!!"

Everything was great! Only issue was that we planned on a particular condo so we could be next door/ on the same level as other family for convience and we were placed in a different condo on the floor above our family which made it a little more difficult with a toddler going back and forth. We would also prefer no smoking at the pool with children present. "
