- Beach Gear, Already Packed for You: No need to haul heavy gear from home - Nautilus 1405 comes equipped with two extra beach chairs, a cooler, and a beach tote.
- COMPLIMENTARY BEACH SERVICE: Beach service provided by our beach vendor includes two beach chairs and one umbrella with paid stays of 14 days or less from March 1 through October 31. Your setup is guaranteed, but the specific location on the beach is not.
- Vendor Rentals: Kayaks, paddleboards, extra setups and reserved locations can be rented directly from the vendor on the sand.
- Beach Access: Nautilus provides private beach access directly from the property to the public beach on Okaloosa Island.
- Property Access: On-site private access is stairs-only.
- ADA Access: An accessible public ramp is available immediately next door.

Payment and Cancellation Policy for booking direct through Nautilus Condominiums - If you booked through an online travel agent (AirBNB, VRBO, etc), the payment and cancellation policy of the platform applies. A $250 advance payment is required at the time of booking for a reservation to be valid. The final balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. If we have not received another form of payment 30 days prior to your check-in date, your credit card will be charged automatically. Cancellation of rentals that are made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will forfeit $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, you will forfeit 100% of the total reservation amount. If renter must shorten their stay within 30 days of arrival or after checked in, no refunds will be provided for the nights not used. Long term guests (28 days or longer) - must pay 1st months rent 60 days prior to arrival and must cancel at least 60 days prior to arrival or will forfeit 100% of total reservation amount. We encourage guests to buy Travel Protection Insurance to protect themselves. Once you are within 30 days of check in there are no moving dates, nor moving units. No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, or cleaning and maintenance concerns. If present and reported, all cleaning or maintenance concerns will be corrected promptly.

"Great stay in Nautilus 1405
This is our second time staying at this property, and we’ll definitely be coming back! The beachfront location is incredible. Personally, I think Okaloosa Island is the best place to stay because it’s never too crowded, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The condo was great, and it had everything we needed. Plus, they’ve now added extras, such as beach towels, beach chairs, and a Keurig that you can use while staying there. Those were a really nice touches that are appreciated! There’s nothing better than being able to sleep with the windows open in your room, and fall asleep and wake up the sounds of the waves. The condo was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything was kept up well. We look forward to coming back to Nautilis next time, thanks!

"Beach vacation in October
Unfortunately we were disappointed in a few ways. Everyone pays a cleaning fee which should cover a clean unit. We found dirty drawers in the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. There was a used floss stick on a living room table. Bedroom curtains were quite dirty. Master closet was full of a dirty fan, mop bucket, old blinds, and a 5 gallon bucket. We literally needed to take these out to hang clothes up and store the suitcases. Looking down at the bedside table I noticed something black on the floor sticking out. It was a sticky mouse trap!
One evening, we went to grill out downstairs. There were no grilling utensils! My husband asked the staff about this and was told, they were probably in another unit! That certainly didn’t help us!
The main elevator button constantly sticks and needs to be either replaced or fixed.
Prices continually increase but quality has declined.We have been staying at this complex for over 25 years and we’re very disappointed "

Our unit had a gorgeous balcony view of the gulf. We enjoyed view all day, every day! It was a heavenly month escaping winter up north. The accommodation was very comfortable. The location was great. The only negative was one of the two elevators was out of service at times. The walkway to the beach was well maintained and had a sprayer to wash the sand off your feet. The pool was warm and clean. We loved it and hope to return next winter.

"Relaxing, Quiet, Getaway
We loved our time at the Nautilus, it was never over crowded, the beach chairs were an amazing bonus, and the room was clean and welcoming. There were a few things that needed some work like the shower, the washer and dryer, and maybe a few minor details to the condo cosmetically but overall the room was clean, the view was amazing, and the bed was comfortable- what more do you need? The kitchen was also completely stocked with utilities."

We didnt enjoy our stay as much as we would have wanted. Though the place was fine, It is just a couple of things that we didn't like. The TV says "Smart TV" but you can't even connect to Netflix or any other Apps. The TV in the bedroom wouldnt even come on so I didnt even nother asking for help because after enquiring about what to do to access Netflix on the livingroom TV, I never received an answer back. Second thing was that the burners in the kitchen smoked up the place both times we tried to cook breakfast and the smoke alarm kept coming on so we had to open the doors to let air in the unit. Other than that, it was ok."

The unit was freshly painted and new floors. Unfortunately it is also in need of a good deep clean and in need of repairs to other cosmetic things. The location was great though. And the view was beautiful. The front office staff upon check in was really nice. The sheets on our bed were clean but they were stained. This should have been noticed by the person cleaning. And other sheets used. "

"Wonderful Trip, Great room/facility, AMAZING STAFF
Overall we probably had one of our best vacations ever. So much so that we booked an extra night and switched rooms to stay longer. The staff helped us move without having to wait between check out and check in. We also had one small issue with our room late at night and they came immediately and resolved it. The pool was the perfect temperature for winter and the view was gorgeous and both rooms we stayed in were so nice. Comfortable furniture and beds! Nice kitchens. The place isn't brand new like some condos/resorts but in my opinion it was just right. Great price as well. We will definitely be staying again. "

"Good View... but not great overall
Good location and great view. Those are the best parts of this rental. Unfortunately, the floor was very dirty and caused our feet to turn black on the bottoms after only walking around in there for 10 min. Lots of mold on the bathroom ceiling. The bedroom furniture was warped and there was missing baseboards throughout the condo. Couch looked dirty. There was one baseboard just sitting against the wall with nails sticking out of it. Had to move so my toddler couldn’t get it. The patio door did not lock so my toddler could go in and out; did not like that part. The people above us did not follow quiet hours and blared music, partied and stomped around for a few days straight late in the night. The pool is small and also next to the parking lot so not ideal. Location and view were great but that was the good part of this condo. The kitchen is relatively nice also and does have an ice maker. It definitely needs some maintenance throughout this condo and there are things that can be improved. "

"Great Location, Great Value, Unit Needs Work
Overall: A great value for a short stay. I'd be happy to stay in this building again for a longer trip, but if we do we'll get another unit.
I'd give the building and location 5 stars, but the unit 3 stars. The beach is fantastic and I loved the smaller size of the building. That kept things from feeling crowded and it was a quick trip from the condo down to the beach. The common spaces in the building are no-frills but totally fine as long as you're not looking for something fancy-pants.
The unit itself had a great layout, great view, was well decorated, and had everything we needed. Unfortunately it felt a bit unclean and needed some work. MOST IMPORTANTLY: the locks on the balcony doors do not work at all and need to be fully replaced. If you're going with little kids check to see if they've been fixed before booking. Other things needed maintenance and repair as well, from little things like banged up furniture to big things like an entire wall being just bare drywall and bare wood framing around the window. "

"Great Beach - Tired Unit
We've stayed at Nautilus a few times and love the location which is just enough West of Destin to avoid the crowds and traffic. We also love that they have 1 bedroom condos, on the beach, with a balcony and master bedroom window overlooking the Gulf. There are nicer units than this one (although the prices are the same). The cabinetry appears to all be original and it's warped in many places. The master bath is so jacked up that the countertop doesn't even join with the cabinet which is warped- cabinets/drawers don't close properly. The bedroom furniture has to be from the 70's or 80's (plastic wicker) and is blistered. There's a nice chair but it's covered with an elasticized brown universal liner that must be from Big Lots- cheap. Overall the unit felt unattended by the owner. The kitchen seemed to be equipped nicely although we didn't use much of it. Be prepared to bring every little thing you need, including coffee filters. They provide one kitchen towel. The furniture on the deck is too much to maneuver.
We left a message in the office concerning construction that was happening in our room and never received a call back so not sure how responsive they are - never had an issue in the past.
The good news is you probably won't be inside much! We'll definitely stay somewhere else next time."

"Large condo with excellent unobtrusive beach views
Catch sunrises and sunsets from this belcony the sea is little more than a stones throw away with pure white sand between you and the sea,the condo is great and we'll equipped,kitchen is huge and the bedroom is large with the same views as the belcony,also 2 x WC's one just off the lounge and the other in the main bathroom, the only negative comment would be the broken sliding patio doors, they were hard to slide and the lock was broken, I put a small ironing board in the runner to prevent it being opened,(it was on the 4 floor but nevertheless) on the plus side we had a visit from the HOA and these are all being change soon."

The condo is nice but honestly could use a little updating / I’ve stayed in this unit at least the last 3 yrs and nothing has changed. The shower faucet has issues like the wall is not solid behind the faucet and the sliding glass door to patio needs attention - it is very hard to open. The left side sink at the dual vanity needs a little work on the sink drain everything else is great "

"Nautilus Unit 1405 Review
We enjoyed staying in Nautilus Unit 1405 and have stayed in this unit several times before. It would be helpful to have a side table on each side of the bed as there is only on side table now. The only other suggestion would be to encourage the complex to repair the elevator problem as soon as possible."

The furniture was less than satisfactory, missing coffee tables and end tables, there were only 2 chairs at the dining table making it hard for a family of 4 to eat together. There were spiders and ants. The carpet was dirty. The condo could use major updating. The view was very nice. "
