THE CONDO

Nautilus provides private beach access directly from the property to the public beach on Okaloosa Island. No street crossing is required to reach the beach.

- Beach Gear, Already Packed for You: No need to haul heavy gear from home - Nautilus 1501 comes equipped with two extra beach chairs, a cooler, and a beach tote.
- COMPLIMENTARY BEACH SERVICE: Beach service provided by our beach vendor includes two beach chairs and one umbrella with paid stays of 14 days or less from March 1 through October 31. Your setup is guaranteed, but the specific location on the beach is not.
- Vendor Rentals: Kayaks, paddleboards, extra setups and reserved locations can be rented directly from the vendor on the sand.
- Beach Access: Nautilus provides private beach access directly from the property to the public beach on Okaloosa Island.
- Property Access: On-site private access is stairs-only.
- ADA Access: An accessible public ramp is available immediately next door.

Payment and Cancellation Policy for booking direct through Nautilus Condominiums - If you booked through an online travel agent (AirBNB, VRBO, etc), the payment and cancellation policy of the platform applies. A $250 advance payment is required at the time of booking for a reservation to be valid. The final balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. If we have not received another form of payment 30 days prior to your check-in date, your credit card will be charged automatically. Cancellation of rentals that are made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will forfeit $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, you will forfeit 100% of the total reservation amount. If renter must shorten their stay within 30 days of arrival or after checked in, no refunds will be provided for the nights not used. Long term guests (28 days or longer) - must pay 1st months rent 60 days prior to arrival and must cancel at least 60 days prior to arrival or will forfeit 100% of total reservation amount. We encourage guests to buy Travel Protection Insurance to protect themselves. Once you are within 30 days of check in there are no moving dates, nor moving units. No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, or cleaning and maintenance concerns. If present and reported, all cleaning or maintenance concerns will be corrected promptly.

This was a last minute booking for us (midnight the day before arriving) so we were unsure what to expect. WOW were we in for a pleasant surprise! This was a super nice unit with the best balcony I’ve ever had! A great location and 2 chairs and an umbrella were included at the beach. "The Beach was Beautiful
It was just ok. The door lock just looked a little sketchy. Our unit needs a little bathroom plumbing updating. The bedrooms were super nice. We had an issue with our lock and maintenance came fast! We met a family that had been coming for 30 years so everyone has their own opinion. It was just ok and we probably won't stay there again."

"Fantastic Get-Away!
Beautiful condo with a huge wrap around balcony with the fabulous views of the blue water and the white sandy beach! It is so relaxing to sit out on the balcony and hear the waves! The condo is well furnished and updated! It feels so spacious with the sliding doors also opening out from the master bedroom to the huge balcony. The second bedroom also has sliding doors that open to a “Juliette” balcony overlooking the pool! We loved the sunlight coming through the condo giving the feeling of spaciousness accentuated by the mirrored wall in the living room. We will definitely stay at #1501 again! This is our second stay at the Nautilus Condos. We were not disappointed either time. Staff is very friendly and outgoing. The Nautilus is a short distance to Destin but we found wonderful restaurants and shopping close by. Totally enjoyed our stay!! Highly recommend the Nautilus Condos. "

Carpet extremely soiled.
Shower heads had mold on them.
Trash cans dirty.
Couch was soiled.
The entire unit needs a deep cleaning.
A lot of construction noise beginning early in the morning.
No offer of compensation from management.
I've stayed 5+ times over the years. As recent as April. This unit did not meet the standards of the other units I have stayed in."

"Not Good, Not Bad. -Attention to the room is greatly needed.
The condo had everything as listed and expected, but the updates that were noted when we booked were to the outside of the building, not where we spent our time in the room. I think that was a bit misleading. The place was ok though, just dated. The worst part was the carpet with stains, which is tolerable, but we started feeling sick a few days later so we figure there was mold in it. Also, the vents didn't look cleaned, so mold was likely in there as well. We know, because we immediately felt better after we left. Our oven door handle came off while cooking dinner which is a bit dangerous, but maintenance did come the next morning since it was afterhours. Easily called and fixed, just annoying since we were trying to eat. Master shower handle is broken or at least warped because you had to get it just right or else you get burned or have a cold shower. The heat element was out in the dryer. Absolutely didn't work. Those were the notable issues. Every other thing that gave us grief was just finicky due to being older, but still ok. Only other issue to mention is the boardwalk could use a slip resistant mat. It is very slick when wet, which is most of the time. Its definitely a lawsuit waiting to happen. I feel like this place has some easy fixes if time can be taken. But I wouldn't stay here again."

To the laundry room wouldn't close properly, the doors to the balcony were hard to open & close, the curtains were missing the rods to open & close them, paint was falling off the ceiling in the master bedroom, the shower barely had enough pressure for the shower to come on. Just some things that need attention. We didn't let it ruinp our stay. "

We were only visiting for a two night stay. Checking in and out was quick and easy. View was beautiful from the condo. There were only two of us, but we had plenty of space. Maybe a few updates to the condo would have made it better, but overall it was perfect for a two night stay. "

"Good but not the best, unit 1501
Overall, nautilus condo was good. The pool and ocean views from our condo were excellent but otherwise the property was clean and well kept. Only negative thing about the condo- elevator takes a while to get anywhere so we took the stairs a lot. Now the Unit 1501 that we stayed in definitely needs updating in a bad way. The dryer in the unit ruined several pieces of clothing including brand new clothes purchased on our trip. The furniture in the unit is old and dirty and has lots of stains on them. They are also very uncomfortable. The bed in the main bedroom is super high. There were soaps from the previous guest left in our shower and old coffee left in the coffee pot that we had to clean up.
Things we loved: the balcony space and view, the kitchen was well stocked, the beds weren’t terribly uncomfortable.
Our family would not probably choose to book here over another condo again but especially not this specific unit. We paid a lot of money for this condo rental and we just expected more."

"Always A Great Stay
We love staying at the Nautilus, so much so, we have been loyal renters for the past 8 years. The staff is always great and the views are unbeatable. We love being able to go right out to the beach or swim in the pool.
As for Condo 1501, it was not completely updated even though it said it had been on the website. The stove, microwave, washer, and dryer need to be updated badly. The dryer did not dry our clothes after several cycles. Maybe the heating element is out? The microwave also did not warm food without adding a lot of extra time. The patio furniture was also older and was rusting and very over-used. The seats on all the chairs were very thread-bare and the legs were rusting away so the chairs did not sit evenly. The first picture of the brown furniture is correct (and must be older), the second picture of cream colored patio furniture was not accurate. The sliding glass doors were also VERY heavy and did not open easily. The one off the master bedroom only my husband could open and close. The mattress in the second bedroom was also older and when slept in kind of folded in to the center.
Overall it was not a bad condo, just needs some updating and TLC. We were there to enjoy the beach and being outside, but it would have been nice to have the other amenities within the condo updated. We will not choose that particular condo again, but we will continue to stay at a different condo within the Nautilus. Our condo was clean, but that is something we have never had an issue with at any of their condos. We also used the outdoor grill for burgers and chicken. We love having the area to be able to do that. We also enjoyed the beach toys available in each condo and we always love being able to use the pool. Thanks for another great vacation."

"Good view-Not so good on the rest
Clothes dryer burned holes in clothes, dirty utensils in kitchen drawer, oven/stove burner temps not consistent, sliding door locks broken, hot water faucet in master bath stuck and doesn't work, mattresses in both rooms uncomfortable. Lots of competition in the area. Keep looking.

"Great View
Great view - mostly clean condo. The dust on the ceiling should be cleaned and you should leave more trash bags for your guests. DO NOT USE THE DRYER! It burned holes, in multiple pieces of clothing! the stove also doesn't heat correctly, I would recommend an update. Overall it was a great stay, the heated pool was nice but I felt it could have been warmer. Overall very clean common areas. "

"Disappointed
I completed the NCA,Inc.Guest Survey form and turned it into the office and requested a copy for myself. We know that this has been unprecedented year in all areas of life but we have been coming to the area for 30 plus years and staying at the Nautilus for the majority of those years. We have never been as disappointed with a unit as much as we have with unit 1501. Maybe we're spoiled, as we should be, but when you spend time & money on a vacation you expect it to be hassle free. Our 1st week was understand-
ably interrupted by workers in and out of the unit cutting out portions of existing drywall then coming back daily to inspect and take pictures of the unit. the whole unit needs a lot of care and repairs. Needless to say we cut our stay off by one week. For more detailed info please refer to the Guest Survey we filled out."

"In love with this place
The only reason we didn't give 5 stars all around is because of the construction. So with that said, once the construction is done it will building will be GORGEOUS. WE LOVED our stay other than that. The front office and all workers were outstanding and went out of their way to make sure fun was had by all! We would diffidently stay here again :)"

PROS- ABSOLUTELY THE BEST VIEW EVER! WEATHER WAS PERFECT - NOT ONE DROP OF RAIN - WATER WAS PERFECT EVERY DAY BUT ONE - HAD SOME ALGAE. CONDO WAS VERY CLEAN, COMFORTABLE BEDS, KITCHEN VERY WELL STOCKED WITH ALL UTENSILS. EXTRA BEACH CHAIRS TOO! OFFICE STAFF WERE AWESOME!!

The stay was very good... there were a few things that could of been better. It could of been cleaned better. I stayed on the 6th floor couple years ago in pent house and I felt like it was taken care of better but over all I would go back to the Nautilus."

"Home away from home.
We love staying at the Nautilus. This was our 5th year there, and we continue to return. Love the view of the beach and water. Enjoy watching the dolphins play in front of us. Like the location, as it is close to Fort Walton Beach and Destin. Staff is very friendly and most helpful. Enjoy meeting other guests and regulars at the gatherings the staff provides for us."

"Amazing Location and View
You could not ask for a better view than this unit. High enough to see into the water (dolphins and stingrays) and glass doors on two sides of the condo a well as a large wrap around porch for complete viewing of the gulf and beach at all times. Wonderful place to stay, I wish I owned it!"

"It was an ok place.
Okaloosa Island is one of the best places to stay in that coast line, the white sand beaches are immaculate. But the Nautilus has seen better days. The unit was updated in certain areas but still needed attention in a lot of different ones. Cracks in the walls, ice dispenser didn’t work, dryer wouldn’t heat up to dry (which drove my wife crazy), killed a few cockroaches in the unit and outside, needs new carpet, water drainage issues in different areas of the complex and vacuum looked like it was bought at Goodwill. For the price we paid I just feel like the unit should of been more updated and appealing. When we come back we will prob stay at a different complex on the island. "

"Great view, great vacation
This was our first stay at Nautilus. I usually choose a smaller property on Okaloosa Island. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Even though this property was larger, it was quiet and not overly crowded. I loved the view and the beach chairs! The wrap around balcony was wonderful. The beds were comfortable. The sofa was not so much. In unit laundry was a plus. The unit was clean but could use some additional updating. Bring beach towels, a hair dryer and food storage containers. "

We had a wonderful week at the Nautilus. Great 2 bedroom condo with very well appointed kitchen and baths. The patio furniture was in great shape (which isn’t always the case) and made sitting outside in the morning and evening a pleasure. Very comfortable beds. We will be back. "

"What a Great Location!
Had a relaxing time enjoying the view from the beautiful patio overlooking the water. This resort has been well taken care of; condo was very quiet and comfortable. Although there were others above and below us we could not hear neighbors. We will definitely be back to stay: such a nice, clean, relaxing, (unit 1501) condo! Great friendly staff too! "

My family absolutely LOVES this complex. We normally stay in a different unit, but were pleasantly surprised by this one. This unit is decorated beautifully and the view is AMAZING! "Spacious balcony with a beautiful view!!
The staff was friendly and helpful when we dealt with them. The condo is a corner unit on the 5th floor and we haven't stayed anywhere with a balcony this spacious! The unit is very accessible to the office, the beach access walkway and the parking lot...perfect location!! The layout of the condo is good and we had everything we needed. The only downside was the bedroom needs heavy shampooing or replacing. We very much enjoyed our stay!"
