- Beach Gear, Already Packed for You: No need to haul heavy gear from home - Nautilus 1602 comes equipped with two extra beach chairs, a cooler, and a beach tote.
- COMPLIMENTARY BEACH SERVICE: Beach service provided by our beach vendor includes two beach chairs and one umbrella with paid stays of 14 days or less from March 1 through October 31. Your setup is guaranteed, but the specific location on the beach is not.
- Vendor Rentals: Kayaks, paddleboards, extra setups and reserved locations can be rented directly from the vendor on the sand.

Payment and Cancellation Policy for booking direct through Nautilus Condominiums - If you booked through an online travel agent (AirBNB, VRBO, etc), the payment and cancellation policy of the platform applies. A $250 advance payment is required at the time of booking for a reservation to be valid. The final balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. If we have not received another form of payment 30 days prior to your check-in date, your credit card will be charged automatically. Cancellation of rentals that are made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will forfeit $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, you will forfeit 100% of the total reservation amount. If renter must shorten their stay within 30 days of arrival or after checked in, no refunds will be provided for the nights not used. Long term guests (28 days or longer) - must pay 1st months rent 60 days prior to arrival and must cancel at least 60 days prior to arrival or will forfeit 100% of total reservation amount. We encourage guests to buy Travel Protection Insurance to protect themselves. Once you are within 30 days of check in there are no moving dates, nor moving units. No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, or cleaning and maintenance concerns. If present and reported, all cleaning or maintenance concerns will be corrected promptly.

"beautiful beach getaway
We recently stayed at Nautilus unit 1602 and enjoyed our experience. The condo is positioned with a beautiful view of the beach from both living room, and bedroom. The staff and check in/out processes were all simple and smooth. Quick walk down to the beach, chair service was included. Bed was comfortable. Condo was clean and equipped with necessities. We were able to get to restaurants and other areas of the island easily from the condo and were able to rent a golf cart from a nearby business and use it to commute around the island. Would definitely recommend coming to FWB and staying with Nautilus. "

"Fantastic beach view
Condo was very quiet and clean. Everything you will need is available in the kitchen, but be sure to bring spices. If you forget there’s a small grocery just next door. The restaurants in the area can be very busy, so plan ahead and have a backup plan in case they’re booked beyond what you’re willing to wait on. We had a great time, spending 99 percent of our time on the beach."

"Great Ocean Front Stay!
We stayed at this condo because of the value. We stayed 8 days total and it was truly a great stay. This particular condo is ocean front and 1 bed 1 1/2 bath. Full kitchen and washer in dryer in unit. It was updated and fresh. I think the only complaint I have is the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great, I have thick hair and with the ocean water and pool it took me a while to rinse. It in great location to restaurants and a short 10min drive to destin. The beach was clean and at the time of year we went not as crowded until the weekends. Overall the stay was just what we needed clean quiet and relaxing. Perfect adult get away. "

"Charming Beach Getaway
We enjoyed our 25th anniversary getaway! We love FWB and this condo was just perfect for the two of us. Condo is ocean/beach front on the 6th floor. Small balcony but perfect for 2-morning coffee/breakfast and late evening romantic dinners. May consider upgrading the balcony chairs. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend The Nautilus and Condo 1602. Look forward to future stays!"

"Quiet relaxing beautiful views
We had excellent communication with all staff that we encountered before and during our stay. We had no elevator issues. The condo had everything that you would expect but what you really want is the view from the balcony or the awesome beach chair service. Im used to more of a public beach access and this stretch of beach was very quiet in comparison. Definitely no complaints on this rental. "

Beautiful unit. Nicely decorated. The sofa was a bit hard and uncomfortable but you will have that with a sleeper. The only thing I would recommend is new balcony furniture. We couldn't sit on it. There was no padding on the chairs. That is unfortunate because that is why we rent gulf front units. Please invest in patio furniture. I will rent again once that is done. "

"March vacation
Too many children so too much noise while trying to sleep. The south elevator rarely worked. The master bedroom bed was very uncomfortable. No ice maker. Since we are retirees, on a fairly fixed income, the last few years of increasing prices is making it nearly impossible for us to afford staying at the Nautilis. We have been VIG’s for a number of years and we are saddened that we may no longer be able to afford your condo. The staff has always treated us exceptionally well. We appreciate them very much."

"Nautilus 1602
You can’t get any better of a view. Gulf front is just beautiful. A very quiet unit around the corner from elevator.
The unit was advertised as completely renovated.... but how long ago it did not say. Kitchen cabinets are a mess, hang weird, some are put together with bits and pieces. Maybe not of good quality or badly in need of everything tightened up.
They are white and also very dirty. As in food splattered, black scuff marks, and above the sink cabinets have a black dust from the ceiling exhaust. At first glance I thought it was mold.
The backsplash behind the sink is dirty, again from food and grease splatters. Dirty spatula in drawer as well as a dirty glass.
Dining table chairs are a little dated and scuffed. Couch is light colored and had what looked like a recent Chocolate mishap on a seat cushion and arm. Same looking spot on chair. Couch covers may be a good idea and coasters for the end tables.
Wall clocks in all areas either don’t work or need new batteries.
Bed was super comfortable. Curtains were nice and modern.
Bathrooms very nice and clean. Very nice LVP flooring.
We had very little contact with staff but when we did they were very friendly and helpful.
I am willing to give Nautilus another try but perhaps not this unit.

"Vacation May & Sept.
We have rented this condo several times in the past years. A few years ago it was updated now it really needs it again. We stayed there twice this year and we were so disappointed at how run down it is getting. The mattress cover was dirty & soiled the carpet & furniture needs to be replaced or steam cleaned. The wood work was dirty. The dishes and pots & pans were all disorganized. The ice maker was never replaced and the furniture on the balcony needs to be replaced. We are hoping this condo can get back the way it use to be this picture was from a few years ago. We are hoping to find another condo that is clean and updated it is a shame to get charged so much for a dirty place. "

"Beautiful, Stunning & Definitely a Million Dollar View
We had a wonderful stay, the property was beautiful & our condo (1602) was pristine. The location was great, the staff was super friendly & helpful - we will definitely stay here again. I would have given 5 stars in all categories, however the elevators kept going out or took way too long to respond. We also had issues with a beach attendant from Sunset Beach Service over how the “complementary chair” program worked, I think a handout should be given in the condos to explain because when you ask them questions they can be awfully rude. I didn’t include that in my rating because it’s not a reflection of the Nautilus, but that of the beach service. I just wanted to include that because it made it hard to want to go use the chairs. "

"Horrible Unit 1602
Unit 1602 was not finished with painting. It looked awful! I did not want to be on vacation with an unfinished condo. It clearly states on the website that it has been newly renovated. Ruined the entire view of looking out the bedroom window for us. This condo.should not be rented out until it is finished! Would you want to look at an unfinished painted condo on your vacation?!?! Plus the amount of money for renting something not finished is ridiculous!! The master bathroom was gross! I had to clean hair out of the shower. The baseboards and cabinets had dirt and hair all over them. The shower does not drain properly. The towel rack was broken. The toilet lid in the half bath was broken. Plus, the elevator stayed messed up or broken a bulk of our trip. "

We had a very nice stay. Loved the neutral decor. The only windows face the ocean so it is easy to forget everything else. It was well-equipped. Everything worked. Would definitely rent this unit again. Loved the 6th floor view. We have been frequent visitors to the area for years and have stayed a number of times at Nautilus. Property has been upgraded a bit since we last visited."

I was not going to review this . But they sent me this so I figured I would. It was absolutely terrible. We arrived at 8:30 pm the office was closed . I got in through the code they emailed me . The condo was disgusting . I mean the ceiling fan had dust 3 inches thick . It smelled musty . And it was very old . The furnishings were very nice though . I called they told me they nothing else . So I went to Walmart and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned it . Bought soap so I could wash the sheets just to sleep. I was afraid they weren’t clean either. Anyway after I cleaned it from top to bottom. It was a great stay . I even stayed an extra night. "

"Great unit, great getaway!
This was my second time staying at The Nautilus, but first time in this unit. The view of the ocean from the balcony is amazing. They did a great job with the updated furnishings inside. The bed is comfy (you can see the ocean from bed if the curtains are drawn too), there's ample closet and dresser space, the shower is nicely tiled and clean with lots of hot water, and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking.
I will mention that there is a space in the lower kitchen cabinets where maybe an ice maker may have been, which would have been nice for our frozen drinks, but the fridge does make some ice (we ended up buying bags of ice so no biggie). There weren't any throw blankets for the living room area, so those would be a nice addition for the future. Also, we noticed the bedroom fan making some noise upon arrival, but maintenance came by and fixed it the next day.
The beach is clean and wasn't too crowded. We pretty much stayed on property due to COVID, but we did get some takeout from Stewby's down the street and The Donut Hole and Back Porch in Destin.

We had a wonderful stay!! 10 days in paradise!! The unit 1602 was beautiful all beds both king and sofa beds were comfortable!! Gulf front at affordable rates its our second time there and we will be back for a third we paid double last year at a bigger condo complex for less time!!! The view from this 6th floor rental is great! Very clean. Didn't use the kitchen much other than the coffee pot. The only negative was the sliding glass doors to the balcony were really hard to open and close. Otherwise, we were very satisfied and had a wonderful time. "

"Qwners need to be educated
I have stayed at the Nautilus many times and have enjoyed it, sometimes twice a year. But this unit 1602 sucks. Nice appointments but they have a governor on the Air Conditioner, during the day ok but you have to have fans on super high to try and sleep at night with no covers on till early in the morning. Maybe ok for some but I never have had this situation anywhere else where I have stayed. The bedroom needs shades or drapes. They have flimsy slats that don't even cover the full windows. At 6am it is so bright in the room you think you woke up on the beach, (wish the owners were as bright). Coffee pot went out but this can happen. Not blaming this on the Nautilus as units are individually owned but if this is where its going, I will be looking for another location"

Condo was nice size for just my husband and I. Could definitely accommodate another two people. Currently, there are only vertical blinds in the bedroom. Drapes should be added to darken the room. Cookie sheets should be replaced. Other than that this condo met our needs and was very comfortable, located directly on the beach. The pool was nice and clean. The condo was really very quiet. Nice family atmosphere. I would go there again. I would rate this place a 3.8 out of 5."

Great trip. Building a little tired but good for the price. Staff very helpful. Great to have chairs set up at beach. Wyndham 2 doors down for lunch and drinks if you want to stay on beach.
