Nautilus provides private beach access directly from the property to the public beach on Okaloosa Island. No street crossing is required to reach the beach.

Enjoy the freedom to explore the beautiful Okaloosa Island shoreline. From Nautilus, you can walk for miles along the beach toward Destin, enjoying the sand, Gulf, and scenery without constantly encountering private-beach barriers interrupting your walk.
- Beach Gear, Already Packed for You: No need to haul heavy gear from home - Nautilus 1505 comes equipped with two extra beach chairs, a cooler, and a beach tote.
- COMPLIMENTARY BEACH SERVICE: Beach service provided by our beach vendor includes two beach chairs and one umbrella with paid stays of 14 days or less from March 1 through October 31. Your setup is guaranteed, but the specific location on the beach is not.
- Vendor Rentals: Kayaks, paddleboards, extra setups and reserved locations can be rented directly from the vendor on the sand.
- Beach Access: Nautilus provides private beach access directly from the property to the public beach on Okaloosa Island.
- Property Access: On-site private access is stairs-only.
- ADA Access: An accessible public ramp is available immediately next door.

Payment and Cancellation Policy for booking direct through Nautilus Condominiums - If you booked through an online travel agent (AirBNB, VRBO, etc), the payment and cancellation policy of the platform applies. A $250 advance payment is required at the time of booking for a reservation to be valid. The final balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. If we have not received another form of payment 30 days prior to your check-in date, your credit card will be charged automatically. Cancellation of rentals that are made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will forfeit $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, you will forfeit 100% of the total reservation amount. If renter must shorten their stay within 30 days of arrival or after checked in, no refunds will be provided for the nights not used. Long term guests (28 days or longer) - must pay 1st months rent 60 days prior to arrival and must cancel at least 60 days prior to arrival or will forfeit 100% of total reservation amount. We encourage guests to buy Travel Protection Insurance to protect themselves. Once you are within 30 days of check in there are no moving dates, nor moving units. No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, or cleaning and maintenance concerns. If present and reported, all cleaning or maintenance concerns will be corrected promptly.

"Fabulous experience
My Nautilus condo was fabulous! Perfect location, great view from living room/kitchen and also bedroom. The pool was a great addition, but the beach was my favorite! The staff was so helpful with all my questions before and after booking. My room was ready early, as they knew I was already on property. I had access to beach, chairs, and pool before check-in and the day after checking out. Two chairs and an umbrella, set up daily at no extra cost, was a pleasant surprise. Even the day of rain from Tropical Storm Bertha, we enjoyed relaxing in the unit and seeing and hearing the ocean past our balcony. I will definitely book again next year."

First time staying with Nautilus. 1505 was a great location and nice size for 2 adults. Condo itself was average we had most of what we needed. Some things needed updating. Pool is on the parking lot side of bldg, so that was weird but our Gulf Side condo was good. No gym. Easy check-in and checkout. "

Such a wonderful place to stay. We could hear the waves, sunshine every day, and a beautifully decorated home away from home. "Beach Therapy! Staycation! I want to stay here forever.
This was my second stay at The Nautilus and once again I was happy and satisfied with my experience. It is located close to a variety of restaurants with amazing food, places to go have tons of fun with family/friends (for example The Track in Destin was only 20-30 minutes away), tons of brochures and information on different activities you can do - parasailing, fishing, and much more. The condo is very clean and well-maintained; the staff are all friendly, helpful, and professional. The environment around the pool, beach, and the condo itself is safe, comfortable, and family-oriented. My first stay at this location, we were not ready to leave so soon - we called to see if we could extend our stay and that process was easy - fortunately we were able to stay 2 extra days. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you have children!"

"Would not rent this unit again!
This units photos don't really show the actual up close details that need painting, cleaning and fixing! For the price of this condo we feel that the owners could work on the details. The oven doesn't work well, the stove doesn't either. Makes it hard to cook food. The kitchen was lacking in some very important items like a cookie sheet, pot holders among other things. The patio furniture pictured on VRBO is not the actual furniture and it didn't have cushions which is not comfortable. I also feel that this owner could provide paper towels, toilet paper and have cleaning products available for things missed by cleaning people. I mean how much does it cost to provide people paying thousands of dollars some time and p towels? We always rent VRBO or Air BNB and have stayed in some amazing condos. This wasn't to the point we couldn't stay and work around it since we where there and it was paid in full. But if I had read my review I wouldn't have rented it. The beach service is great, the condo really could be AMAZING with a bit of attention to detail. Natilus was a decent place and staff where great! Beach was awesome!"

We have stayed there 6 times and this visit was disappointing with regards to the condo. The stove takes about 45 minutes to cook bacon or sausage --needs to be replaced. Dryer only works on low heat or shuts off. Very minimal basics aren't provided. Cleanliness has majorly declined. Definitely needs a deep clean. Luckily, the other parts of our trip were positive to make up for the condo being an issue. Next trip another location will be sought after. :-("

I stayed with Nautilus for a little over a month on a business/leisure trip. This was by far one of the best experiences I've had. The professionalism was amazing. The condo was beyond expectations. The owners of 1505 were amazing to work with as well. They certainly have done an amazing job with the interior. I really appreciated how the Nautilus team made my experience so personal and peaceful. During these trying times customer service has seemed to go by the wayside. However, I received a very genuine welcome by all members of the Nautilus team. This includes not only the front desk reception teams, but also the maintenance personnel, grounds keepers, and beach side support members. I felt as if I owned the condo and was not just a temporary customer. The condo had all the amenities I could ask for. The beautiful view included a certain warmth that took away the toils of the day. The character of the condo made you feel immediately at peace as you shut the front door and took in the view. Thank you Nautilus with sharing with me your 1505 unit. My requests were immediately addressed, the unit was immaculate, the view was priceless. I will return and enjoy this beauty again. "

1 week May 11-18. We would not stay in that unit again. Everything was very good except living area. Only a standard size sofa and some cheap uncomfortable chairs. Unit should have the sofa and a normal living area chair with foot stool or maybe a recliner. Very uncomfortable living area."

"Great Condo and great location
Great experience, the condo was really nice and the quick access to the beach was great. Also the tom thumb store that shares the same parking lot was a huge bonus. Condo was clean and the bed was comfy."

"Summer family vacation
We loved our stay at the nautilus! It was so family friendly with no partying around!! The room was clean- our only suggestion would be some door mats at the entry ways to wipe sand off before going in! At the front door and the balcony! The balcony table and floor wasn’t really cleaned well but we still enjoyed it!"

"Wonderful Time
We love staying at Nautilus when we come to Ft. Walton Beach for vacation. The only complaint I have about this unit is, there is a wall beside the sink that needs to be painted. The window seals needed to be cleaned. These are minor improvements and would not stop me from staying at this property again. Already planning our next vacation. "

The condo was in good shape and clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The view on the gulf can't be beat. Then only thing I wish was that the pool was on the gulf side of the building and not on the street side. "

Great location. Easy access to different restaurants and shopping. We have been to the Nautilus three different times. Are planning to return next year. The people in the office are friendly and helpful. The condo its self was clean but needs some updates in furniture. Plenty of kitchen utensils, dishes and pots and pans.

"Spring break 2018
For the past seven years we have traveled to the Nautilis on ocaloosa island for our spring vacation. The Nautilis employees are always accommodating and friendly. As always, the condo was clean and comfortable. It's location is perfect for a getaway. It's close enough to all the restaurants and activities but far enough away to be relaxing. The provided beach service is second to none thanks to Chandler."

"September visit
Our unit 1505 was a very nice unit. Everything was updated. The bed was a little hard but we made due. We were however disappointed in the facility itself. This was our third time visiting in two years and we found it was not up to par. The elevator doors were not working properly and we found it a bit scary. The building looks as though it needs some freshening up. Maybe a paint job and fill in some cracks. "

"Unit 1505
My husband and I had a mini vacation and stayed in 1505. The unit was very clean but there were some things that were outdated and small things that could have been done before we stayed. The table outside did not sit down on all four legs and one of the chairs was broken. My husband almost busted his tail. The screen door was broken and when we came up one afternoon it had blown down. There were blown light bulbs and about 3 out of the 4 clocks in the unit did not work and needed batteries. My biggest concern was one of the elevators kept acting funny. One of the men we ran into staying there said he had reported it. Well my husband and I got stuck on the thing. It got stuck between the floors. It did not work right since and no one ever put an out of order sign up or anything. Lastly, we had a major water leak in our room but I will say the maintenance man was there within an hour and got it fixed. We did enjoy our eventful stay but needs updating! "

Very nice place and good prices on rooms. My only complaint was that the pool was out front instead of in the back with an ocean view. But overall a very nice place that I would stay at again. "
