Payment and Cancellation Policy for booking direct through Nautilus Condominiums - If you booked through an online travel agent (AirBNB, VRBO, etc), the payment and cancellation policy of the platform applies. A $250 advance payment is required at the time of booking for a reservation to be valid. The final balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. If we have not received another form of payment 30 days prior to your check-in date, your credit card will be charged automatically. Cancellation of rentals that are made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will forfeit $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, you will forfeit 100% of the total reservation amount. If renter must shorten their stay within 30 days of arrival or after checked in, no refunds will be provided for the nights not used. Long term guests (28 days or longer) - must pay 1st months rent 60 days prior to arrival and must cancel at least 60 days prior to arrival or will forfeit 100% of total reservation amount. We encourage guests to buy Travel Protection Insurance to protect themselves. Once you are within 30 days of check in there are no moving dates, nor moving units. No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, or cleaning and maintenance concerns. If present and reported, all cleaning or maintenance concerns will be corrected promptly.

"Sept stay
The power was scheduled to be out for two hours. This was not told to us when we booked. The power flickered a couple of times the day before. We had my grandma stay with us and had to go down 7 flights of stairs when the power was out. The second to last day, our code to our door quit working. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay. We just wish before booking, that they would’ve advertised or informed us that the power would be out. That is why I rated the staff and maintenance a three."

"Perfect room with the perfect location!
The condominium that we stayed in was great! The location and beach access was the best part of the trip. The beach and town was so peaceful and quiet! My (our) first time ever going to Fort Walton. I will definitely return to the town and this property, the staff at check in could have been a little a lot more friendly instead of making us feel like we were inconveniencing the two ladies! They came off kind of rude to a family who just paid money to stay there! I’ve stayed all over Florida at different beaches and this staff is probably in my bottom two for friendless and professionalism, but maybe they were both just having a bad day! "

We really enjoyed our stay! Everything was as listed. Stayed 4 nights with husband and 7 and 12 yr old daughters. The views were amazing and the location was perfect! "Another great week at the beach
Our first time staying at the Nautilus was over 20 years ago. We have stayed other places however,we always seem to come back. The location is great, the beach views are like no other and there are many great restaurants nearby. The complex is smaller than most, well maintained and the staff are always accommodating and readily available. The condo was just as it was described with a wonderful view of the gulf. The Nautilus will continue to be our go to place on the beach."

"Great communication from booking to checkout
Both elevators were working in September 2023. Building is right on the beach with easy boardwalk access (no gate or lock). There is a bin of beach chairs and toys by the boardwalk where people have left items you can use. New appliances in the condo. I was most impressed with the excellent communication from the from the property managers. I was very well informed of all procedures and what would be in the condo upon arrival. Unit 2708 is on the top (7th) floor. Amazing Gulf views from the living room, master bedroom, and balcony. The water is clear and beautiful. The sand is clean and white. We loved the free beach service. There is a bookshelf full of books in the office. We will definitely be back!"

"Great Condo!
This condo exceeded our expectations! From the very beginning. I accidently booked the wrong unit and the manager was super helpful in helping me correct my mistake. When we got there we let them know we were early but did not expect an early check in. We hung out at the beach and used the chairs that come a long with the rental which was great. While there, I got a text that our room was ready early! We went in and the condo was very nice and most importantly very clean! I was impressed by the whole place. The shower was amazing, they had everything we needed and even provided a full bucket of ice which was very appreciated for us beach goers. There was an abundance of extra blankets and pillows too. I feel they went above and beyond our needs. Its probably the best VRBO I have been to!"

We have been visitors to Ft. Walton Destin area for over40 years.One of our first vacations was a stay at the Nautilus Condos. This particular unit probably has not been renovated in years. The furniture was subpar and looked liked yard sale purchases.The master bath was a joke. We will not be back. We loved the staff and any concerns were addressed immediately."

"Love Nautilus, This Unit, Not So Much
We have stayed at the Nautilus for many years and in several different units. This unit was [probably the one that needed the most updates. The fridge barely closed (we had to push with quite the force). The coffee maker was very old and gross. Kitchen items were minimum. Guestroom headboard was falling over. Carpet needed a refresh. And while the view from the balcony was great, this will not be a unit we stay in again without some DRAMATIC changes. There are many other units that are updated with views that are just as amazing. "

"Great repeat (8th) stay at Nautilus
As in years past the Nautilus is a great. Each condo. Proximity to the beach is a primary requirement and the nautilus certainly meets it. This is our 8th visit the rooms are always super clean and well stocked. The staff are friendly and responsive. The only negative on this trip is the 2nd bedroom was listed as having 2 queen beds when they were actually full size. I think it's great the condo also supplied everything needed for grilling out (charcoal, lighter fluid, grill tools) and adding a third grill was nice too."

"Overall... great unit
Unit has a great view and great location on the island. I loved having a Tom Thumb right next door. The walk to the beach was as short (or shorter) than any unit we have stayed in. Overall very pleased with this unit. The only criticism would be that some of the furniture was pretty out of date and a bit beat up."

"Hurricane Sally's aftermath
Well, thanks to Sally, we were moved two times in our four night stay at the Nautilus. The first room acquired very loud fans to dry any mold potential, so we moved. The second room was booked for only two nights by mistake cuz it turned out the owners were coming in to look at the damage. So the fourth night we were put in the top floor penthouse. Too bad we couldn't have been there all along! What a unit. We loved the girls at the front desk. They were cool and calm in what was obviously a confusing time."

"Paradise on a budget - perfect for a family!
We booked our condo at Natilus about a week before our stay. From the beginning The staff went out of their at to accommodate - even going to specific rooms to check to ensure we had a pull out sofa bed.
The condo was clean and included everything we could need, even beach toys & boogie boards!
We were able to check in early and really enjoyed our stay! We will definitely be returning!"

"Stunning view & wonderful family time
First off, you are greeted by the wonderful staff that are so helpful with information about the city. Secondly,you walk into the room and meet such a stunning view of the ocean! The room was clean and furniture perfectly.The furniture could stand to be replaced due to obvious use. Other that, it was a wonderful stay and experience for the family. Here are somethings that stood out on this trip: we woke one morning to a flat tire, the staff assisted with airing the tire and gave us the address to Tire Plus, which got us back to enjoying our trip. The staff also gave us suggestions on places to eat. All of the places were ABSOLUTELY wonderful and AFFORDABLE! We took one afternoon and ate at AJ's beach & bar- mistake to eat there. We had burgers and fries and I kid you not, it cost us $85. The next day we ate at Whataburger and those burgers and fries were way better that AJ's and not to mention way cheaper! The staff at the Nautilus is what made our trip what it was. We would have been in real trouble with our van. Not to mention, the awesome food that we experience. The beach was wonderful, but if we didn't have your staff for their help, we wouldn't have enjoyed it."

We have been staying at the Nautilus for 30 years when we do come to the Fort Walton Beach Area. When we checked into the unit 2708 we didn't realize how our stay was going to be. The dishes in the cabinet were dirty as was the silverware in the drawer so we had to wash both. The screen door on the patio doors blew off from the wind and I could not get the patio doors open my husband could so I could not go out if he was not there. The bedroom carpets were dirty and matted down, they really needed to be replaced. It took the washing machine 25 minutes to fill with water. Maintenance did come up and check the patio doors but we were told the doors were wore out and needed to be replaced they did put WD40 on them but only helped the day they did it after that it was back to the same old thing they wouldn't open. If we washed the dishes by hand and did a small load of laundry with warm water we would have to wait at least an hour to take a shower for the water to heat back up. The view was great we watched the fireworks on the boardwalk from our unit. We would love to try that Nautilus again sometime but definitely not the same unit unless it has a lot of work done to it."

"Amazing stay!
We rented unit 2708 for a 4 night stay in November . The unit was exceptionally clean and well maintained. My husband is an engineering manager at a worldwide resort and he generally picks a part all the issues at places we stay. He said everything was in good shape and there were very few maintenance issues. "

The view is totally worth it. Hearing the waves crash as I'm laying down to go to sleep and the first thing I heat as I wake up. The toilets seemed to be a tad small, but I don't really have any complaints. We enjoyed our weekend getaway"

"First Anniversary Stay
We came for our first anniversary and our somewhat high expectations were met. The staff was friendly, the room was actually larger than what the pictures showed. We were close to great restaurants and Destin as well. The only real negative was the master bed literally folded up into a “V” when I’m use which made it very uncomfortable each night. Side note: the beach staff need to enforce people NOT feeding the seagulls - it makes the experience less enjoyable. Overall I’d give Nautilus a solid 4/5 stars for the price you pay. Very reasonable, great location and a quiet/safe place to stay! "

"Wonderful
Great condo with plenty of amenities. Had a few questions for the office and answered with no problem. Maintenance crew was great. We had a facet break and they were there to fix within minutes. Pool and beach access was always clean. Room had a better view then had expected. Overall very pleased and would definitely go back. "

"Vacation at Nautilus’
We had a wonderful stay. Loved the location. Loved the access to the beach and having our own beach service included. The condo was nice and clean. The only issues we had was the beds were very uncomfortable and mattresses were very hard in both rooms. We did not sleep well at all. Overall it was still a great place to stay "

good first day 2nd day got back from beach that evening water all in living room and kitchen floor had to wear shoes very slick 3rd day went down and spoke with office about it 4th day the air condition quit about mid night 80 degrees in room.i thought the beach chairs and umbrellas where first come first serve with option to get another one when asked for still had to pay Good Price to get two"
