THE CONDO

Nautilus provides private beach access directly from the property to the public beach on Okaloosa Island. No street crossing is required to reach the beach.

- Beach Gear, Already Packed for You: No need to haul heavy gear from home - Nautilus 1406 comes equipped with two extra beach chairs, a cooler, and a beach tote.
- COMPLIMENTARY BEACH SERVICE: Beach service provided by our beach vendor includes two beach chairs and one umbrella with paid stays of 14 days or less from March 1 through October 31. Your setup is guaranteed, but the specific location on the beach is not.
- Vendor Rentals: Kayaks, paddleboards, extra setups and reserved locations can be rented directly from the vendor on the sand.

Payment and Cancellation Policy for booking direct through Nautilus Condominiums - If you booked through an online travel agent (AirBNB, VRBO, etc), the payment and cancellation policy of the platform applies. A $250 advance payment is required at the time of booking for a reservation to be valid. The final balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. If we have not received another form of payment 30 days prior to your check-in date, your credit card will be charged automatically. Cancellation of rentals that are made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will forfeit $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, you will forfeit 100% of the total reservation amount. If renter must shorten their stay within 30 days of arrival or after checked in, no refunds will be provided for the nights not used. Long term guests (28 days or longer) - must pay 1st months rent 60 days prior to arrival and must cancel at least 60 days prior to arrival or will forfeit 100% of total reservation amount. We encourage guests to buy Travel Protection Insurance to protect themselves. Once you are within 30 days of check in there are no moving dates, nor moving units. No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, or cleaning and maintenance concerns. If present and reported, all cleaning or maintenance concerns will be corrected promptly.

"Two timer same condo!!
I stayed here 3 years ago August 2023 right after the remodel and again now August 2026. We got there right at end of peak tourist season when school starts back up and it was great!! No busy lines. No traffic anywhere. The unit is still clean and well kept after 3 years. Could use few paint touch ups but that’s to be expected wear n tear over 3 years. Kitchen is still fully stocked with equipment. The wagon and chairs for use were great additions!!
Only complaint is the tall high chairs on the balcony. There weren’t enough!! There’s 4 normal size ones but you have to look through the rail bars. There’s two tall ones but all us adults (4) were rushing to claim them because they make the view!! We would sit there all day and just watch the water and people. Dolphin watching in the morning. The tall chairs are the best!! Just need more!!

"Great place to stay!
Great view, spacious and clean unit. Would have liked to see more household items, ie flashlight, scissors, Tupperware, extra bedding. We had extra pillows but no pillow cases. Only 1 extra blanket. Nothing major that wld stop us from returning. Lots of space to add books or games to the unit for a rainy day. Anything we needed mgt on site was available and very friendly. Beach service was amazing and so convenient!! Area was a traffic mess with construction but doable! Would like to see more awareness to sea life! They have info posted but unit was not sea life friendly, ie, heavier drapes to block out lights, posting more to remind folks to use flashlights w red lenses. Was sad not to find any sea turtle nests roped off....nights the beach was full of white bright flashlights both ways up and down beach! Beach was huge w magnificent views!! Even when crowded did not feel crowded! Pool was clean and had plenty of seating! Location was ok, close enough for groceries, restaurants and a marina for a boat trip!! We did soundside cruiser and was a great experience! Price was reasonable and they really took time to create a great experience, kid friendly as well! Loved the texts that Nautilus sent as reminders from before, during and at checkout! Was very helpful!! Would recommend for sure!!"

I know there are roches in the area, but we had lots of them in every room, we have stay in the same unit before and they was not a problem so not sure why this time. Also we had ants in the bedroom and kitchen, they did spray when we called about them. Also 1 towel per guess is crazy I am on vacation I don’t want to wash towels every day. "

"We will never stay here again
Awful. Ice machine was broken upon arrival and we were never made aware of that. A group of men knocked on our door while we were dressing telling us they needed to fix said ice maker without any notice they were coming. There weren’t enough amenities nor accommodations for a family of 6, such as extra towels, shampoo, lotion, conditioner, sheets, pillows. The place really shouldn’t be for a family over 3 and definitely not suitable for young children. Needs a lot of updates for price requested per night. Lights needed replacing inside and on balcony due to being out. Washer/dryer needs to be replaced. There was leftover soap scum in master shower soap dish. Toothpaste spit on picture frames in bathroom. Very unhappy. We reached out to the office twice and never heard back. Once through text and once through our review we handed to them requesting some type of refund. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. "

"Summer Vacation
Overall we had a good experience. The view from the room was great. You don't go on vacation to sit in a room so location is important also. For us the location was perfect. Close to restaurants, shopping, jet ski rentals, fishing etc. Of course easy access and a short walk to the beach. "

"Never Will I Nautilus Again
This was my 12th or 13th vacation taken at the Nautilus and it will also be my last. My family has been staying there for approximately 12 years now, sometimes multiple times per year. We have always stayed a minimum of of 7 days during the summer and in the most recent years 16 nights per visit. The quality of this condo has drastically gone down to an almost unacceptable level. When we arrived this year we had several issues, the ice maker was broken, the oven did not work along with 1 burner that would not come on and 1 that would not always turn off, and the lounge on the balcony had a large rip in it making it unusable as well. The towels provided were basically stained rags and there wasn’t enough for a family of 4 to use once. The sheets were stained and tattered. The ice maker never got repaired, the stove was replaced 2 days before our departure. Not to mention the elevator broke at least 6 out of the 16 days we were there. Several days prior to our departure we tried to make reservations for summer 2022. There has been a 55% price increase (they must be trying to pay for the new paint on the building) over the summer 2021 prices, on the unit we requested for the same length of stay and during the same time frame. They mention a million dollar view on their website, now it will almost cost you that much to stay there. When I asked to speak to management, I was ignored. I made several additional requests to speak to management with no reply. Our family and friends occupied 6 units there this summer and were planning on doing the same for 2022. With the lack of communication from management, we will be taking our business elsewhere. We felt like we were imposing on them rather than welcomed by them as we were in years past. The Nautilus is now the 3rd most expensive condo on the island. Do yourself a favor and do a little looking, you will find a better quality unit for a better price and much better management. "

"Great stay
We had a wonderful stay at the Nautilis condos. The unit we were in could use some updating, the furniture and decor was outdated. Other than that, the place was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for a week stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We discovered our bathtub drain was clogged on arrival, I notified staff, and they sent maintenance right up to fix the problem. The unit was close to the beach, and the view was amazing! Would stay here again. "

"Overall Great Experience at Nautilus
We have stayed at Nautilus off and on for the past 18 years. Room 1406 has a BEAUTIFUL view and balcony directly overlooking the beach! However the unit does need to be a bit updated inside. Some things were very old and broken and the stove and refrigerator were very outdated. When we arrived, the unit was not clean. However, the property manager came right over on her day off. She offered to send cleaning lady’s back in but i chose to clean it myself. She took off the cleaning fee. She helped us in every way she could. We really appreciated that. Overall we were happy and comfortable in our unit but it just needs a little updating as i said. Again, the balcony and location are unbeatable!! "

"Definitely a million dollar view!
The room is everything we asked for our stay in Ft Walton beach. With the amazing view of the ocean we greatly enjoyed getting to watch the dolphins swim in front of us. The fully furnished kitchen helped with those quick meals to fix instead of going out every time, so we could spend more time on the beach. The only thing I would recommend for future renters is make sure you bring your own trash bags and toilet paper for when you run out it’s up to you to provide more. Other than that it was a great relaxing getaway for me and my family. "

We had a wonderful time at the beach for Thanksgiving! Our condo was great. We loved the quick access to the beach. This is our second stay at The Nautilus. The only thing not perfect is the pool. With it being in the back is seems unsafe and it’s really small. We will definitely come back when we can!"

We stay at the Nautalis every year. The view of the beach is awesome. The condos are usually really clean but this year there was a few bugs.There was a new girl at the front desk who was a little rude and several roaches in the condo and the steps outside. "

Our unit was clean and everything was in working order. I loved having the ice machine in the unit for the beach and the complimentary beach service. The wifi was slow for my kids and they missed not having a workout facility. The service was very friendly. We had a great time!"

We were so excited to be coming back to the Nautilus and our expectations were high after our last visit. needless to say, we were quite disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. We spoke to 2 different people and were given the explanation that the deep cleaning was to happen after the season ended. Honestly, that is unacceptable. The items that we spoke of and that were on the list that I handed the front desk, are items that should be addressed after every rental, not just after season. Ceiling Fan Blades caked in Dust, Vents caked in Mold and dust and cobwebs and dust bunnies on the ceiling in the kitchen blowing right over the counter space. The handle to the refrigerator was so dirty that your hand actually stuck to it when you grabbed it. Long Black hairs on the floor of the guest room bathroom. We did about an hours worth of cleaning before we unpacked... next time I will make sure to find a super and/or take pictures. When brought to the attention of the management, it honestly seemed like we were just complaining to complain. I promise you, that is not who we are."
