Nautilus provides private beach access directly from the property to the public beach on Okaloosa Island. No street crossing is required to reach the beach.

- COMPLIMENTARY BEACH SERVICE: Beach service provided by our beach vendor includes two beach chairs and one umbrella with paid stays of 14 days or less from March 1 through October 31. Your setup is guaranteed, but the specific location on the beach is not.
- Vendor Rentals: Kayaks, paddleboards, extra setups and reserved locations can be rented directly from the vendor on the sand.

Payment and Cancellation Policy for booking direct through Nautilus Condominiums - If you booked through an online travel agent (AirBNB, VRBO, etc), the payment and cancellation policy of the platform applies. A $250 advance payment is required at the time of booking for a reservation to be valid. The final balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. If we have not received another form of payment 30 days prior to your check-in date, your credit card will be charged automatically. Cancellation of rentals that are made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will forfeit $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, you will forfeit 100% of the total reservation amount. If renter must shorten their stay within 30 days of arrival or after checked in, no refunds will be provided for the nights not used. Long term guests (28 days or longer) - must pay 1st months rent 60 days prior to arrival and must cancel at least 60 days prior to arrival or will forfeit 100% of total reservation amount. We encourage guests to buy Travel Protection Insurance to protect themselves. Once you are within 30 days of check in there are no moving dates, nor moving units. No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, or cleaning and maintenance concerns. If present and reported, all cleaning or maintenance concerns will be corrected promptly.

"Nice but needs work
This is our 5th time staying with Nautilus. No discount for returning customers, so there is no incentive for us to return. Master bath needs major updating, doors on vanity hanging off, shower old and needs replaced. 2 out of the 4 windows in the condo wouldn't open; we notified management, nothing was done, nor were we communicated with further. Balcony lounge chair broken and duct taped. Guest shower faucet duct tape. Dishwasher didn't work properly. People on lower balconies were smoking cigarettes as well as marijuana and it constantly wafted to us. I feel this should be a no smoking facility.
On the positive side, bed was extremely comfortable, view was amazing and the water was hot. There were 2 beach chairs, cooler and beach towels were provided. Kitchen was nice and they had salt, pepper and cooking spray for our use. "

"Cozy condo with beautiful views
I took my wife & two teenage sons here for a week long getaway. This condo is fairly nice, considering the price. The building itself is quite old, built in the 1986. Unit 1702 has two king size COMFORTABLE, memory foam mattresses. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and comfort of the beds. We have stayed in many condos, even upscale brand new units, and the beds always disappoint, but not this time. The refrigerator does take a very long time to cool off anything when you first put your food in there (around 12 hours or so), and does not have water/ice dispenser equipped on the fridge. There is a very nice under the cabinet ice maker that was a pleasant surprise though. The biggest disappointment for us was the jetted tub that is in the master bedroom, the jets do not work. They are broken. I noticed on the persons review back in June that they were broken back then also so that’s something to keep in mind. It is a huge soaking tub, but again the jets do not work. The interior could use some updating, but overall, it’s a cozy condo with very beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico. The elevator is super slow, however, so be prepared to use the stairs if you want to get downstairs quicker. There is one pool that is fairly nice however it is not facing the ocean, so your views from the pool will be facing the parking lot, no hot tub though.
The nice park that comes with this unit is it does come with beach service two chairs, and one umbrella. However, you must get down there by 8:30 to get yourself your set before they’re all taken. It’s first come first serve. Overall, it’s a nice quaint condo to stay in if you’re watching your budget. "

"Accommodating and Great Views
Nautilus was very nice, welcoming, helpful and prompt. The views and location were great. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking pans and utensils. My only gripe was the bed. I’m 32 and woke up feeling like my ribs were bruised. The floors were a bit sandy when we arrived, but that’s to be expected at the beach. "

This unit was THE best stocked of any condo I’ve stayed at. And we travel a lot!! The communication was fantastic. The new service of having your groceries waiting on you IN the condo was so nice. I placed my delivery order to the condo and they put them away. This is also the easiest and closet beach access ever. We love to stay here and will be back! "

Arrived at front desk, and the lady was very nice. We went up to 1702 and the condo was clean and had everything we needed. The view was beautiful. I got up every morning and drank my coffee and watched the world come alive. There were even Dolphins playing in the ocean. Beach was not crowded and chairs available all the time. I loved the small complex with close parking. Loved the time we had."

Nautilus Condominiums is a well run, thoughtfully managed, vintage facility on Okaloosa Island in Ft. Walton, Fl. Unit 1702 is a roomy 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath condo on the 7th floor. Best features include reasonable cost, awesome view of the Gulf, comfortable furnishings, huge library, and well-equipped kitchen including a free-standing wet ice maker. Furnishings are a bit dated, bathrooms are overdue for a renovation, and carpets are stained."

"Leaves you a bit disappointed.
We love the Nautilus; have stayed many times. But to bill 1702 as a “Penthouse” and charge a premium rate for it is a little misleading. It is on the top floor but the interior is so very dated and the bedding is is like being at a Motel 6 (no offense to Motel 6). Great view, great beach, disappointing interior. "

"Excellent - Balcony is the BEST!!!
When we arrived we were tired and travel weary. We had endured cancelled flights, weather delays, the necessity to rebook on a different airline and change travel dates. We were even delayed by a day on arrival. However, the staff could not have been more accommodating. The Penthouse Condo was beautifully decorated and clean. The balcony and the view are the selling points for this unit. We have done numerous beach vacations on the East Coast - we have never had a balcony that could comfortably accommodate all four adults on lounge chairs and not feel cramped."

"Always love it at nautilus
The rooms are always clean and this could have been our favorite condo expect for a few things. The mattress in the main bedroom was terrible and seemed noisy at night when sleeping. We did have an issue with the elevator again. Overall our stay was good It seemed to be remodeled recently with new sliding doors on the balcony that worked flawlessly. We will be back soon. "

"Perfect Location
This was my first time staying here at the Nautilus but it won’t be the last. The location is not far away from the attractions but it is away from the traffic. You can watch the fireworks from your balcony or beach. There is a Tom Thumb right next door to restock beer ice or anything you might have forgot to get including beach toys and floats. "

"Quick Trip #3
This was our third trip to the Nautilis within four months. Accommodations have been lovely. Decided to splurge a little and stay in another penthouse. However this penthouse does not qualify to be in that category But still fetches a penthouse price. It is dated and smells old. Furnishings are old and one desk had cigarette burns all over the top of it. I love staying at the Nautilis but this unit needs an overhaul."

Property was nice. Unit was clean except dusty on bookshelves, end tables and TV stands. Lots of stuff provided in the unit which made it feel like a home away from home. Hated smelling cigarette smoke from our non-smoking unit as we tried to enjoy our balcony view each day/night. (Felt like I smoked a pack a day and I don't smoke!). The pool was often overfilled with water which made it deeper than labeled I believe. Might be better for kids if it weren’t so full at the steps. Internet issues when we first arrived but were resolved by staff within a few days. Loved the carts to help with luggage, recycling and trash collection was super easy, parking was good, etc. We had a great experience and hope to come back some time in the future."

"Thanksgiving at the Nautilus
Six years ago me and my wife booked a stay at the Nautilus for Thanksgiving Week. My sister and her husband also booked a unit and spent the week. The facility was beautiful, well maintained, and we all enjoyed a great week together and had Thanksgiving Dinner on the balcony patio with a beautiful view that year. We enjoyed it so much that the following year we did it again, and since have continued every year. This has has grown in size along with other family members (children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, etc), each booking additional units, so has become a traditional family event. Most of us have already booked reservations for next year, and even though there are other choices of places to stay none of us would even consider staying anywhere else other than the Nautilus. We have stayed in different units, based upon availability, throughout the past years, with never a disappointment. We always stay in the ocean front rooms. The Nautilus has always been consistently superb. The rooms & grounds are always immaculate and the staff is great. Highly recommend the Nautilus to all. "

Incredible vacation. Best location on the Gulf. Room is clean and comfortable. Staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. Kitchen is great, love the ice machine. TV's and electronics (VCR's) a bit on the low tech side. We bought a Bluray DVD player for our use while there. We've stayed here about 7 or 8 times. Will return next year."

"Bumpy start....
We were told upon arrival (with a weeks worth of groceries in the car) on Saturday that our reservation was for Wednesday. Fortunately I had my confirmation email. After being also told that there was no rooms for us, we were then told we would have to move to different rooms 3X. Finally a smaller room was found but wasn't cleaned yet. We asked if we could at least put our groceries in the refrigerator as they had been now baking in the sun for a 1/2 hour. We were rudely told no the room had to be inspected first. We had to move our items to our cooler. Fast forward 1 hr we were told the room was ready. Upon entering the room, the "inspector" rudely said not to come in as she was still inspecting the room. After 3 days we got our intended room with 1 night free-no apology whatsoever. Only an explanation that all reservations were reinput into the computer and ours must have been put in wrong
How disappointing as we have stayed at here multiple times and have never had issues. And then to be treated as an inconvenience was even more disappointing. "

This was our 3rd time in this unit and our 7th stay with the nautilus. Very disappointed this last stay as the unit was dirty. The top two racks in the refrigerator had liquid (from meat) on both glass racks. The oven was dirty and there was an awful smell that lasted for about 3 days. I did call and report it to the office. Elevator was down for maintenance several times. Just overall not as happy as we had been in the past. "
