Nautilus provides private beach access directly from the property to the public beach on Okaloosa Island. No street crossing is required to reach the beach.

Enjoy the freedom to explore the beautiful Okaloosa Island shoreline. From Nautilus, you can walk for miles along the beach toward Destin, enjoying the sand, Gulf, and scenery without constantly encountering private-beach barriers interrupting your walk.
- Beach Gear, Already Packed for You: No need to haul heavy gear from home - Nautilus 1604 comes equipped with two extra beach chairs, a cooler, and a beach tote.
- COMPLIMENTARY BEACH SERVICE: Beach service provided by our beach vendor includes two beach chairs and one umbrella with paid stays of 14 days or less from March 1 through October 31. Your setup is guaranteed, but the specific location on the beach is not.
- Vendor Rentals: Kayaks, paddleboards, extra setups and reserved locations can be rented directly from the vendor on the sand.

Payment and Cancellation Policy for booking direct through Nautilus Condominiums - If you booked through an online travel agent (AirBNB, VRBO, etc), the payment and cancellation policy of the platform applies. A $250 advance payment is required at the time of booking for a reservation to be valid. The final balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. If we have not received another form of payment 30 days prior to your check-in date, your credit card will be charged automatically. Cancellation of rentals that are made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will forfeit $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, you will forfeit 100% of the total reservation amount. If renter must shorten their stay within 30 days of arrival or after checked in, no refunds will be provided for the nights not used. Long term guests (28 days or longer) - must pay 1st months rent 60 days prior to arrival and must cancel at least 60 days prior to arrival or will forfeit 100% of total reservation amount. We encourage guests to buy Travel Protection Insurance to protect themselves. Once you are within 30 days of check in there are no moving dates, nor moving units. No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, or cleaning and maintenance concerns. If present and reported, all cleaning or maintenance concerns will be corrected promptly.

10 days in My Happy Place at a great complex. Units are well appointed, this particular unit was Very comfortable, clean, lots of amenities : an ice maker, no shortage of ice for the cooler at the beach, an air fryer! Very, very comfortable bed, furniture in the unit and on the balcony. The staff is friendly and helpful, the complex is very well maintained. Third year staying here, has become our go to place!"

"Fantastic Property!
Four of us stayed at Nautilus 1604 and everything about it was excellent. The unit has plenty of room, it was clean and well maintained. And the view from the balcony was spectacular! We were there for 5 nights and had activities planned with family in the area but changed those two days/nights to entertain at the condo. That's how comfortable we were there. The staff at Nautilus were excellent as well. Accommodated a very late check-in and then made sure we had everything we needed and answered all our questions. We have already decided to stay here on our next visit. Great experience!"

My experience at the Nautilus condominiums -unit 1604--
Met my expectations- The unit was beautiful and equipped with all conveniences necessary for a great stay- I did not have to go on the beach if I wanted to look at the ocean on the balcony- I was comfortable in the beautiful chaise lounges available there-
The unit is situated directly on the beach so I had a great view of the ocean and it was wonderful to smell and see it-
Staff was fabulous- I picked this condo because I liked the fact that the pool was in the front by the road not on the Oceanside-
It was very convenient to charge my electric car at the unit on site-
Can't say enough good things about the whole experience-
I will tell my friends and come again-"

The room was great and the view of the gulf was even better. The only thing I wish they would do is not let people on the balcony smoke. We couldn’t sit out there long because cigarette smoke kept blowing in from other balconies. Couldn’t leave the balcony door open because it would make the room smell like smoke. I guess it’s not the condos fault that smokers are inconsiderate to everyone around them. "

PERFECT location with breathtaking view directly overlooking the gulf. The sound of the waves crashing on the beach calm the soul! The condo was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated and had everything one could possibly want. Beds were amazingly comfortable too! Perfect for a couple or a family. We will be back!! This was the third or fourth time we have stayed at Nautilus. Other stays were better-the negative in 1604: The master BR toilet was inoperable upon late arrival, repaired the next day. Second bath shower water facet had to be repaired. Washer and Dryer did not work properly. Kitchen facet hot was cold/cold was hot. Oven did not heat properly. Good mattress, fully equipped kitchen. Never told on previous trip to reserve beach chairs thought first come. staff professional friendly. Overall a restful trip. "

"Girls' Getaway
As we walked into the front door of our unit we were hooked! The view as we entered was breathtaking (the blinds at the sliding glass door were open) and the condo was beautiful. It was very clean, decorated nicely and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked so we were able to cook a nice meal on several occasions. The beds were very comfortable which enabled us to get a good nights sleep and be ready to hit the beach. The staff was very professional, helpful, and kind which made for a great experience. We will definitely be staying at Nautilus on our next trip down."

Good location. But dirty found a live bug in the ice maker. We have stayed at turtle walk previous years and it was much cleaner. 1604 was even worse found 2 live bugs in the cabinets. I was very surprised that this unit had an additional ice maker under the counter. It was very useful. The hot water in the master shower was not super hot & sinks were slow to drain. Everything went smooth from booking to check in to maintenance issue. I love the new look of the exterior, looks more modern and clean. We only had one issue with the A/C but called maintenance and it was fixed within that same day. Love the beach access and room views of the gulf. Can't wait to go back next year."

We were very pleased with this condo. Other than the dryer not working, we had no problems with our stay. When we arrived, the thermostat was set to 85 degrees which caused the refrigerator and ice maker some problems. Once we turned the temp down, the appliances were able to cool off and they had no problems. The view is beautiful from the balcony and the beach was not crowded at all. "

Dead bugs in kitchen drawers, dishes were not clean and bowls had standing water. Live roaches found coming out of dishwasher. Live roaches in spare bedroom. Master bathroom shower had big hair glob in drain. We told customer service and left letter but no one has contacted us. For the price we paid to stay we felt it was not worth it. "

"Roaches! Don’t stay here!
Our condo was in a great location and had a great view of the beach but it was infested with cockroaches! They were in every cabinet and drawer and covering the pots and pans. We bought groceries on the way in to cook and weren’t able to cook any of it due to the infestation. We ended up eating out every meal which cost us more money. The condo management seemed to care at first and refunded 15% of the price back to us which ended up not covering all the inconveniences like getting our house spayed when we returned home and extra food costs. They also told us a pest control company would come and they never did. It was a nightmare!"

Unit had a couple of issues and doorknob on the pool restroom was off for a couple days- and when you are on the 6th floor its really difficult with kids. Hope the facility doesn't go down hill. Every thing was nice but, when entering room a very bad smell. We had to go straight to a store to buy room fragrance to spray all over. My husband came out of master bathroom and told me to very careful with the toilet because it was very lose and it was. The kitchen and balcony was awesome, master bed was very confomable, we slept with the sliding door open and we heard the ocean water all night. We will surely be back. Thanks to all."

The ceiling fans and blinds were extremely dirty and caked with dirt. Before we could sleep in the room, we had to clean them. Otherwise, the furnishings were very comfortable and nice. "

We first stayed at the Nautilus 28 years ago and this is by far the best two bedroom unit available! High end furnishings, beautifully updated kitchen and baths, commercial ice maker and keyless entry add to the leisure and convenience of vacation living. The beach umbrella and chairs are a plus to the luxury of relaxing on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! Beach attendant, maintenance personnel and office staff all earn an A+ and a huge thank you!"

We were at the Nautilus for our eighteenth year. We were treated as family and everything was just as we wanted it. Miss Linda in the office is so personal,unprofessional and generous. She will surely be missed. Chandler is the finest waterfront director we have ever known. Our stay left us planing to return next year.

"Didn't want to leave !!!!
This was our first time at Fort Walton Beach and really enjoyed it. The Nautilus is in a great location with a fabulous beach. We were a short distance from Destin. The Nautilus beach staff would put out beach chairs and umbrellas daily for us. It has a lovely pool to enjoy too! The office staff was pleasant. CONDO #1604 was BEAUTIFUL !!! We hope to return again. "
