THE CONDO

Nautilus provides private beach access directly from the property to the public beach on Okaloosa Island. No street crossing is required to reach the beach.

- COMPLIMENTARY BEACH SERVICE: Beach service provided by our beach vendor includes two beach chairs and one umbrella with paid stays of 14 days or less from March 1 through October 31. Your setup is guaranteed, but the specific location on the beach is not.
- Vendor Rentals: Kayaks, paddleboards, extra setups and reserved locations can be rented directly from the vendor on the sand.

Payment and Cancellation Policy for booking direct through Nautilus Condominiums - If you booked through an online travel agent (AirBNB, VRBO, etc), the payment and cancellation policy of the platform applies. A $250 advance payment is required at the time of booking for a reservation to be valid. The final balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. If we have not received another form of payment 30 days prior to your check-in date, your credit card will be charged automatically. Cancellation of rentals that are made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will forfeit $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, you will forfeit 100% of the total reservation amount. If renter must shorten their stay within 30 days of arrival or after checked in, no refunds will be provided for the nights not used. Long term guests (28 days or longer) - must pay 1st months rent 60 days prior to arrival and must cancel at least 60 days prior to arrival or will forfeit 100% of total reservation amount. We encourage guests to buy Travel Protection Insurance to protect themselves. Once you are within 30 days of check in there are no moving dates, nor moving units. No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, or cleaning and maintenance concerns. If present and reported, all cleaning or maintenance concerns will be corrected promptly.

The condo was really great. The beds were comfortable, location and views were excellent. We enjoyed the beach everyday and even when we left the beach, the balcony made us feel like we were still at the beach. The only negative is the property manager. She was completely inflexible and treated us with contempt, even on the phone when we made reservations. "

"Sister Trip
This was our third stay at Nautilus, but each stay was in a different unit. We love the larger end units like this one that gives you spectacular views of the sunrise and had plenty of furniture on the balcony that we used daily.
Although we eat out most of the time, this kitchen was very well stocked with anything you would need.There were some minor things that need repaired, but I left a list with Nautilus so that these problems could be addressed.
We will always eat once if not twice at Stewby's and we really enjoyed Lost Pizza. They have live music starting at 6:30 on Monday nights."

"Balcony great, inside worn
If it wasn't for the balcony & view this would have been a bad unit to rent. It's really worn, furniture (especially sofa) is old & some is torn. You have to put pillows under the head on the sofa because it's lower than the foot. Screen door in loving room didn't slide & in bedrooms you really had to work to get them open/closed. It's in need of renovations. Honestly, I felt it was overpriced & did not live up to the pictures. This was our 3rd time @ Nautilus & we liked that unit a lot, just wish it were higher up than 2nd floor. We won't rebook this unit again though we will stay at The Nautilus, staff is very nice. "

My husband knows I love the beach and when I mentioned I'd love to wake up to turning 60 on the beach he said without hesitation, let's go.
He didn't see what all the hoopla was about the first time we went (he's a woodsy guy) but he even said this time it was great! The condo was perfect with amazing views! Location was great and not too busy! We will definitely go back to Nautilus 1601 on Okaloosa Island!"

Just loved this condo! Decorated very nicely with super comfy king sized beds in both bedrooms. Huge balcony with wonderful views and plenty of comfy chairs to lounge in! "Best Friends of 40 years Getaway
My BFF and I go every year to Ft. Walton and have always stayed about 5 condos up the beach. Several issues with the place that we have gone to for years made us look for another condo. I am so glad that I kept looking at the Nautilus when I was ready to book. Finding the Nautilus was a step out of our comfort zone as we stick to our beach/eating routines on a daily basis. We are 65 and 70 yrs. old and are creatures of habit. LOL! We did not know what to expect. The Nautilus was fabulous! From the very beginning they were great communicators. I was very informed about what to do and expect in order to have a glitch free vacation. The Nautilus was still close to everything that we were used to. We had everything that we needed in 1601 and more (with the exception of a gigger measure and dustpan) I have never stayed at a condo that was so well equipped! I had the master suite, and it was very comfortable. My friend stated that her bedroom/bath were comfortable as well. There is a built-in ice maker that is the bomb! Not to mention the side by side frig/freezer that kept everything very cold, which also has an ice maker. The beach view from 1601 is amazing! I loved how large the wrap around balcony is. Seats about 9 people. 1601 is just steps from the elevator, and trash chute. A very short walk to the beach. Everything was on our end of the building. We used the charcoal grills, and I must say that it was very difficult to lite as the wind is so strong, and there are no shields to deter the winds from the grills. Several people abandoned the effort. (The grills will not make me not go back). We watched the fireworks from the marionette balcony that looks over the bay side. I will definitely book there again next year. This is the first time that my feet were not black from walking around in a unit! Everyone that we came in contact with that works there were very friendly. I should have found this place several years ago. I will be booking Nautilus again! "

"disappointed
Stayed here for years but very disappointed the last couple years We were notified the condo was ready early. We did not arrive early because years past we always had to wait until condo was ready First of all the condo floor was filthy. Our two-year-old grandson feet where black just walking/playing on the floor the first night we got there. a list of all the things wrong: bathroom facet wouldn't drain Plug ins in the kitchen didn't work (2) Bedroom dresser drawer didn't close Shower head (rain shower) barely trinkled out and no hot water to it, the washer had a lot of black mold all around the rubbed. The mattress on the 2nd bedroom is shot very uncomfortable .We went to the office several times and it was closed pretty much the whole week we were there. I happened to run into the woman that checked us in that week and mentioned to her that I been going to office to notify them of the problems, but no one was ever there. Her reply was you got a phone don't ya.. Anyway, she sent a maintenance man, and he fixed the sink and said he would have to order rubber for washer because he couldn't get all the mold out. We loved this condo, and the view is spectacular along with the balcony but very disappointed this year. The pool was never cleaned either had bugs and leaves all the time the only time it was cleaned was the day we left.
Needless to say, we paid about 1000. more this year than last for the same week. We did end up getting a refund of 166. for cleaning

"Wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday
This is a special place for our family to meet for the holiday. It was wonderful, one reason we keep returning. Even think about coming back during summer for a short vacation and take in the summer atmosphere. Only 2 things to mention: shower liner in master bath needs replacement as it had mold on it, one blue chair at the bar needs to be reinforced as it was wobbly afraid to sit on it as it may have broken. Just minor fixes, but everything else was simply awesome. "

All but 2 of the times have been in end units that have amazing balconies,
especially the 1201-1701 units that give you the sunsets...

"Family vacation at The Nautilas
Pool was super clean and warm. I could smell the chlorine which is great in my book.The unit itself wasn’t as cleaned as I would have wanted it. There was dust on the bedroom furniture and headboards. The unit had everything we needed for the kitchen and decor was pretty. The stove, dishwasher and kitchen outlets did not work properly, we had to call maintenance but they couldn’t fix it by the time we left. The cleaning and things not working properly is why I gave a 3 star. "

"Love this place great time always !
We stay here at least twice a year. Have stayed in several different condos and this one is by far our favorite. From the balcony view to the balcony furniture to the king size beds. Everything is prefect. Fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of pillows. Even the elevators are fast! We will be back next July for sure!! "

We loved the condo! Very clean, lots of extra linen, great kitchen utensils. There was even access to 2 extra beach chairs found in the closet. The space and the view on the balcony is perfect! "Great Gulf Views
If you are looking for a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip, this is an excellent rental with great Gulf views. The furnishings and cleanliness of the unit were top notch. The rental office may have been a bit understaffed, but that may have been pandemic-related or we just caught them on an off week. No problems, but they did seem awfully stressed and rushed. Only real downside was the location of the facilities pool."

The location is great, access to the beach is incredible, and the pool is heated! "First trip to the Emerald Coast
We stayed in condo 1601 for five nights and loved every minute. The condo was clean and decorated nicely. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The ice maker was a pleasant surprise! The balcony and the views made the trip exceptional. The balcony had plenty of room for our daughter in a wheelchair and the balcony furniture was comfortable and functional. "

The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen is has everything you need and the furniture is extremely comfortable.

We had a wonderful time. We have been coming to Okaloosa and staying for about 10-12 years and we love the Nautilus. Unit 1601 was great. The bed was the most comfortable yet. Location is perfect and very relaxing. The balcony is wonderful to sit our and enjoy the view and the dolphin shows. We try a new restaurant to us this year right over the bridge in Ft Walton, The Shack and I can't wait to come back and eat again!"

I am beyond happy with 1601, the kitchen is equipped with everything you would need. The wrap around balcony,the owners allowing access to the beach toys,and Chandler's attention and attitude made my stay at The Nautilus amazing. This is my 3rd year and I have already booked this room for next year. The staff and guest are beyond helpful and friendly. I would not stay anywhere else. Love Tami"

"Beach get away 2018
My husband and I are repeat customers to Fort Walton Beach. We always stay at the Nautilus condominiums. Our vacation this year was fabulous as always and very much needed. We stayed in 1601, ocean front with rap around balcony. The Condo is updated through out except the bathrooms . Towels were ripped and stained on some of them. Should be replaced. House keeping didn’t clean the condo completely( which is the only time this has happened in all our stays). The bathroom in the master had dirty sinks with makeup on the cabinets. The kitchen sink and countertop needed cleaned. The floors had a lot sand on them. We still loved our stay but disappointed in the cleaning . I think the screen doors need replaced as well. "

"Relaxing & Beautiful
Having never been to Nautilus before, the size of the property surprised me. It does not have a hot tub and the pool is not large. We rented unit 1601, a corner unit, sixth floor. This unit more than made up for the small pool on the back side of the property. It is on the corner with great views. The balcony is huge & wraps around the side, which is what we were looking for. In fact, it is nearer the beach than the next unit, so the view down the beach is good. The unit itself is decorated well, light & airy, with tasteful art on the walls. I love this place. The beds were very comfortable. The whole unit emits a relaxing vibe. AND IT HAS AN ICE MAKER. With the complex being small, it made for fewer people on our section of the beach. Each unit offers complimentary beach chairs (2) & umbrella for the week. The staff was friendly and we met several families who are repeat customers, which tells me a lot. There is a convenience store next door, & the supermarket is a short drive away. As for that pool—the kids loved it, and it was plenty big enough that it never seemed crowded. "
