The condos location was walking distance to the pool, which we enjoyed almost every evening, also walking distance to the shuttle, which brought us to the beach. Our condo was also walking distance to the wharf where we ate at several great restaurants. They had so many great things we only left the “property” once to go out on a pontoon boat. Big shout out to Julie who works with the shuttle service. When we couldn’t find an Uber or taxi to our boat rental location Julie was able to secure us a shuttle ride to and from the rental location at a very good rate. Honestly we all plan on returning to Baytown wharf and the Pilot House with our families in the future!" Pilot house has a great pool and awesome location near Baytowne Wharf, shops, playground, etc. Cons: roaches! Not one or two. We arrived and at first we were happy. The room looked like the pictures, and it looked clean. The floors were dusty, but it looked clean. First night we saw the first roach, then if we got up in the middle of the night for the bathroom or water, we saw more. Crawling on tables, from under the fridge, on the curtains. We ended up re-bagging our luggage and threw most of the food away we had purchased to prepare. We ended up eating out most nights because we just didn't want to encourage the roaches. We don't have roaches at home so this was hard for the kids. Loved the pool, shops and beach but will NEVER stay in Pilot House again.
