We fell in love with the Purple Parrot Resort for its laid-back, resort-style feel, and it’s what ultimately led us to buy this beach condo. Our 2BR villa sleeps 6 and offers access to a lagoon pool, indoor pool, hot tubs, and more just minutes from the beaches of Perdido Key.
Welcome to The Tiki Hideout, our two-bedroom villa in the Purple Parrot Resort, one of the most popular Perdido Key vacation rentals for guests looking for a relaxed, amenity-rich stay near the beach. When we first visited, it quickly became one of our favorite spots on the Gulf Coast because it feels like a destination on its own, without the crowds of high-rise condos.
Inside, we’ve kept the layout comfortable and functional for families and small groups. Upstairs, there’s a king bedroom and a guest bedroom with two full beds, each with its own private bathroom and balcony, which we’ve always appreciated when traveling with others. Downstairs features an open living area, a fully equipped kitchen, dining space, laundry, and a half bath. Whether you’re here for a quick getaway or a longer stay, we wanted it to feel easy to settle in and enjoy your time.
One of the things we really enjoyed about staying in Perdido Key, and something we’ve built into your stay, is the opportunity to experience more than just the beach. Each day, you’ll have access to complimentary local activities, including a round of golf, seasonal dolphin cruises, seasonal fishing charters, mini golf, and admission to a nearby amusement park. These are provided as one free admission per activity per day and can't be stacked, but it’s a great way to get out and make the most of your trip!
The Purple Parrot Resort is what truly sets this property apart from other Perdido Key vacation rentals. Our favorite feature is the lagoon-style outdoor pool with its waterfall cave and island hot tub, but guests also have access to a heated indoor pool and hot tub, a fitness center, and two saunas. The seasonal tiki bar and grill, often with live music, adds to the relaxed, coastal atmosphere that made us want to come back again and again.
The location is another reason we chose this condo. You’re just a short drive to the white sand beaches of Perdido Key and close to the natural beauty of the nearby national seashore, along with great local restaurants and fresh seafood spots. At the same time, the resort itself offers a quieter, low-density setting that we’ve found to be a much more enjoyable alternative to crowded beach towers.

Free parking, high-speed WiFi, air conditioning, washer and dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen. The villa comfortably sleeps 6 and is well-suited for families and small groups, with multiple bathrooms, a bathtub, and a dining table for gathering together. You’ll be near the beach and surrounded by resort-style amenities, including a seasonal tiki bar and grill with live music nearby, along with outdoor spaces to relax and unwind. And one of the biggest perks that we personally love is that your stay includes free daily activities like golf, dolphin cruises, fishing charters, and more. The resort itself is a low-density community without the crowds of high-rise condos, which is one of the main reasons we chose this property in the first place.
