Dogs are welcome with a $125 fee per dog.
Dogs must be crated if left unattended.
Please note: The yard is fenced but is not fully escape-proof for dogs.

CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS / TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Cancellations: As an initial deposit, we take 50% of the reservation total at the time of your booking. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to the card on file 60 days prior to your arrival date.
Should you need to cancel prior to final payment (60+ days prior to arrival date), you will receive a full refund of your initial deposit.
Cancellations made after final payment (within 60 days of arrival date), are not eligible for refund. You are financially responsible for the entire amount of the reservation less cleaning and pet fees. Please consider purchasing travel insurance in order to be eligible for reimbursement of non-refundable prepaid travel expenses.
Refunds: Conditions beyond our control i.e. weather, road conditions, power outage, government mandated travel restrictions, TV outage, phone outage, Wifi outage, Hot tub problems or guest emergencies do not constitute a basis for refunds.

"Dog Heaven
stayed 2 nites.
Pro-Best feature-allows yur pooches. Full Kitchen w/all you need. Bthrm stocked w shamp/cond/bdy wash. Wash/Dryer stocked w laundry deterg. couch comfy. Super quiet and peaceful. Dogs allowed at Monte Rio Beach approx 5min drive. look for the bridge. Management very helpful and responsive
Con-missed lovers ln turn 3x (coming from Rt 1 toward Gureneville), sign hard to see in shade, looks like a driveway. Very narrow posted 10mph speed limit, takes 8-10min to get to house so get yur food/whatevers before you get there. lower parking for house is before the address/steep driveway-tiny little green sign. String lights stay on all the time. i prefer dark at nite to see the stars whilst in the Hottub. Amstrong Rdwds doesnt allow doggos on trails so go to monte rio redwoods for nice hikes. I left a map. No AC so hot nights cook the upstairs main bdrm. Fans provided. A bit dark in the cellar so bring your phone/flashlight to see wash/dry controls a bit better.
Not complaining, just stuff to be aware of. Had a great time hiking, weather was perfect temp to hike in the Redwoods. And was warm/sunny if we went to river but didn't get the chance. Overall, a nice relaxing trip. The neighbor is super friendly and had a great time chatting."

"Lovely Retreat
That back deck is wonderful! The gas grill was clean and grilled our steaks perfectly. The kitchen was well appointed, bed was comfortable, shower worked well. It's located in a remote area that takes about 10 minutes of 10 MPH roads and the parking spot is not easy to find, but once we figured out where we needed to park, it was fine. We were challenged by the number of stairs both inside and outside, but we're old."

"Location great. House could be cleaner
The house served our needs but it needs a DEEP cleaning. Dust webs on some lamps, think there is black mold in corners of floor of shower, dust under beds,,etc. Lights were so dim in kitchen we had to replace a dim bulb over the stove. Dim bulb still over kitchen sink. No one seems to be taking care of the grounds. Lemon tree and potted plants were bone dry, so I watered them frequently. The quiet back yard with its redwoods is what we liked best about the property and mostly why we enjoyed our stay."

"A comfy little slice of heaven.
Or stay at FernWoods was everything we wanted. Very quiet and nestled in the trees. The backyard is very nice with plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the outside. It was raining during our stay but that didn't stop us from using a hot tub. Which was fantastic. I would recommend this place to anybody that was looking for a quiet place to get away. Kitchen's a little small, but you can find everything you need. The beds are really comfortable. Nice warm blankets and plenty of them if you should want more. The House was really clean. The road to it is very narrow and the driveway is really steep, but luckily there's two extra parking spots just to the right."
