Cancellations: As an initial deposit, we take 50% of the reservation total at the time of your booking. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to the card on file 60 days prior to your arrival date.
Should you need to cancel prior to final payment (60+ days prior to arrival date), you will receive a full refund of your initial deposit.
Cancellations made after final payment (within 60 days of arrival date), are not eligible for refund. You are financially responsible for the entire amount of the reservation less cleaning and pet fees. Please consider purchasing travel insurance in order to be eligible for reimbursement of non-refundable prepaid travel expenses.
Refunds: Conditions beyond our control i.e. weather, road conditions, power outage, government mandated travel restrictions, TV outage, phone outage, Wifi outage, Hot tub problems or guest emergencies do not constitute a basis for refunds.

A week spent at this beautiful lodge, in a great location, near to everything, would be remembered by our family!
Nearest places to have nice meals, grocery store, vinery, a beach, redwood reserve with only 25 min to the pacific, would be a nice choice for most.
Good communication with the vey helpful management was also a good addition to our stay.

The house was clean and cozy. There were not enough sheets and pillow cases to make a bed on the futon. There was also an odd assortment of towels for the sixth person. It would be nice to have towels for the hot tub as bringing towels just takes up space and adds weight to luggage. There were ants, mostly in the kitchen, and we kept what food we had put away and the dishes washed after every meal we cooked there. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe. Guerneville was a cute town. "

"House in the forest does not disappoint!
My girlfriends and I booked the Lazy Bear Lodge in September. It is a wonderful place to stay. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The deck is amazing with redwoods so close you can touch them. The linen closet was full of cozy quilts to snuggle into during the cool evening air. The deck makes the property. The description of the property is accurate. It does have a very steep driveway but it was easy to master. The property was well maintained. The only complaint we had was the beds were very tall and large for their rooms (in one room, hard to move around) and the sofa is so large, we found it very uncomfortable. Those small things would not keep me from booking again. "

"Nice House
I hesitate to write this review. We love VRBO and have used them for both domestic and international properties. But the management company for this property was not helpful. The house had many instructions (including cleaning) and we tried to follow these such as the garbage expectations, etc. While we were told to contact the management company it took the them two days to answer our questions and this was after we called them again. The house was nice and well located but the TV box is outdated, they did not provide enough garbage bags, and supplies such as no coffee (we left some with filters for the next occupant). We enjoyed our stay but will never rent from a third party management company again. We will make sure the listing is managed by VRBO."

"Peaceful Redwoods
The property was exactly as described, nestled into the redwoods with a private hot tubs and more than enough space for our small family. It was a short drive (or walk) to town and in between town and the armstrong woods. The property manager provided quick reply when we had questions and checkin/checkout was clearly communicated. We visited Armstrong Woods, the community center/Russian river near monte rio, and drove out to Goat Rock Beach. "

"Good Central Russian River Location
This is a nice, newer home in a beautiful redwood setting. It was very clean and well furnished. The gas fireplace was a nice touch. The outdoor spa was also welcome.
The common rooms are rather small and the steep and narrow drop in the driveway may be a challange to certain drivers, particularly if they have a larger vehicle and/or the neighbors on either side park their cars too close (as they did during our stay).
We also called the property management company after checking in with a question/issue and spoke to Amanda. We never received a call back as promised. Not the end of the world, but worth mentioning."

"Tranquility
We (married couple with dog) all loved this rental! The location was perfect, it felt out of the way but was conveniently close to town. It was so very quiet, even our sound-sensitive dog was able to relax, and that’s a great endorsement! The house was clean and had everything we needed, and special shout-out to the fabulous sofa! The redwoods surrounding the deck were fabulous and made it a lovely place to sit and just listen to the forest. Highly recommended."

"Amazing Home!
We were so excited to stay at Lazy Bear Lodge after seeing the photos, and the house in person was exactly what we expected! First, the basics: the house was spotless, well-supplied, comfortable and in excellent condition. We loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs in the front garden and relaxing in the hot tub on the back deck. The views from every room of the house were lovely, all evergreens and sky. The management company was exceptional -- incredibly responsive to all questions and needs."

"Lazy Bear Lodge
The house smelled fresh and new. The furniture was comfortable and had a variety without looking cluttered or out of place. The decor theme was adorable. The appliances all worked well and were easy to run. The hot tub was especially nice. The only complaint was a mildewy smell coming from the dishwasher and ckothes washer. However, clothes and dishes came out clean and smelling fine, so that was a very minor detail!
The staff left a very kind welcome note and giftbasket of snacks alongside the house being in stunning condition."
